Works the same as the one with the wire

Feb 13, 2013

I have used the wire version of this mouse for years and now am enjoying TWO of the same wireless ones. I often switch from one laptop to another so I put a sticker on one so I can keep tell them apart but the mices have no problem sitting right next to each other but controlling different laptops. The only con is that the wheel slides a little harder then the wired one but I am used to it now.

Great Web Search Features

Jan 31, 2018

It's been a while since my last track ball purchase (last one still had a cable). This new unit has the great addition of the two buttons between your left click button and the actual track ball that allow you to move forward and backwards pages on the internet. Beats having to move the cursor and clicking the browser buttons. Only been using it for two days, but so far everything works great.

Forget your mouse, this is great!

Sep 12, 2014

Yep, I've used a lot of regular mice over the years. But even for plain old web surfing, I _greatly_ prefer this trackball. It only takes its own footprint on the desk, no mousepad required. Moving anywhere on the screen is a simple quick thumb motion. I've got three laptops, and each one has its own M570 trackball. On the east coast, B&H's economy shipping gets it in your mailbox in 2-3 days.

Right handed users mouse

Dec 25, 2015

So if you are a right handed person like me and feel like carpel tunnel syndrome is going to hit you, give this mouse a shot. I was told by my ergo person that this mouse helps and after using it for more than 9 years, I purposely get this mouse to aviod cramps in my hand. The only disadvantage I see is that dragging and dropping is difficult compared to that of a traditional mouse.

Not for precision work.

Mar 22, 2012

I got it because of the 4+ star ratings, makes we wonder if the rating system isn't fudged. Anybody who used a traditional trackball would never give anything higher than 2. It is not ergonomic during use, totally lacks precision, feels weird and awkward. I wouldn't even recommend it for web surfing I can't get used to it and I am seriously thinking about returning this dumb thing.

About time

Jan 19, 2011

This is my first time with a trackball and this is a Must have for PC and Lap top use. It is very comfortable and easy on you hands and operates smoothly. I have small hands and find it a bit hard to reach the 'back' button though. The small receiver could be stored in the battery compartment and the extended battery life is also great. I will be buying a 2nd unit for my laptop.

Great trackball

Sep 20, 2011

I have my laptop in the den so I can sit in my recliner and surf. When I need to work on Photo Shop I have a 24 inch LED monitor in the next room and I have a hdmi cable going to it so all I have to do is to carry my wireless trackball to the next room where I also have a wireless keyboard. That way I don't have to uplug and replug the power and move the laptop. Fast and easy.

GREAT service and delivery

Aug 2, 2012

I love this mouse because you do not have to move it around the table. I have used this type of trackball since it came out and always enjoy getting a newer version of it. The old ones last for approximately 4 years then the bulb burns out. The only thing nice would be if we could replace the bulb ourselves, but then we wouldn't know the latest improvements on the newer model.

Great for security camera systems

Mar 23, 2019

I use this trackball with Q-SEE camera systems, which are intended to be used with a mouse. However the mouse is not a great option since I tend to install the DVR units in mechanical rooms without desktop surfaces. Trackball to the rescue. Range is decent, works well even in extreme temps (outdoor wisconsin temps), and battery life is great. Very happy with these trackballs.

I have two backups....enough said

Nov 28, 2016

I carry it with me in my backpack on the train, have one for work and for home. I now keep atleast one backup since they do wear after years of wear. I started using these at 13 and I just cant stop using them, its so efficient to navigate around the computer. Also, it works on Chromebooks! I just hope that they update the USB adapter to USBC when I upgrade to a new laptop.

Great so far!

Jun 20, 2012

I love that I don't have to move my shoulder with this mouse. I'm working on getting rid of an injury that has now affected my right arm, middle finger, and shoulder. This mouse makes things easier, but I would like to be able to use my left hand sometimes to not have to use my right arm at all. That's my only suggestion for improvement - to make it usable with both hands.

The BEST

Dec 28, 2014

I waited for years to get one of these because of all the negative reviews. I'm happy to say it was WORTH the wait. Logitech fixed all the problems it seems. I replaced a wired trackball with the M570. What a DIFFERENCE!!!! It's faster, smoother, and feels like quality! Don't know about durability yet, but so far, it IS very IMPRESSIVE! IF you game, you NEED one of these!

Good ergonomics, smooth moves, durability so-so

Aug 16, 2018

I bought my first Logitech Wireless Trackball in 2015 and it stopped working about a month ago, so I've replaced it. 3 years isn't bad. I'm very satisfied with the ergonomics and functionality. The cup for the ball must be cleaned periodically, or it will work erratically. Just pop the ball out and wipe out the crud and it will work fine again until its "expiration date".

M570 Laser Wireless Trackball by Logitec

May 11, 2014

I used to use a Microsoft trackball mouse with a cord and still have it. But I like this wireless version and have one for both my desktop and laptop. I like not having to move my mouse all over my desktop. I have been using a trackball mouse for 20 year or more. You either love them or hate it. Once you get used to them they are great, with great control of the pointer.

Great Versatility and a Must Have

Jul 21, 2011

I bought this trackball for my photo editing computer only.It replaced a regular M510 mouse. The M570 is fantastic! Quick response, nice feel, good ergonomics. The large ball is great! My only delta is that when trying to use the trackball to increase/decrease the size of a area of influence for CS4/NIK Viveza2, there is not much control but not a reason not to buy it!

Great mouse

Mar 24, 2011

Very comfortable and responsive. The receiver dongle is VERY small which is nice. Signal seems strong and never slips, mouse is comfortable (could be a TAD larger for my big hands but it's still comfortable). I like the extra two buttons beside the index finger and the ball is easy to remove to clean. This is my first trackball mouse and I think I have been converted!

Wireless is wonderful...

Mar 29, 2011

Logitech has always made superior computer input products. This one is no exception. Works as advertised, all of the buttons, cursors speeds etc are fully editable... and I get to surf from my favorite comfy chair in the living room! Replaces my wireless mouse that got dropped a few too many times... this should solve that. (I've got the wireless keyboard too!)

Good product

Jul 29, 2011

I bought the device to replace an older Logitech trackball, it worked without problems when I inserted the mini USB controller into my ASUS laptop which I previously purchased from B&H. I would have given it five stars, however this model is a bit smaller than my previous trackball. It works great drawing floor plans and network topology sketches with VISIO.

Look Ma One Hand!

Jun 14, 2012

I use this because of carpal tunnel like aches and pains from using a mouse. The right/left clickers can be programmed and the scroll wheel can be used for vertical scrolling and the two index finger buttons can be used for horizontal scrolling. Using the thumb on the trackball means I rarely have to move my right hand much at all except to type in text.

Very very happy with it!

Jun 19, 2012

Does everything I need a mouse to do and more. Very happy I finally got one. The only downside I can think of is I'd prefer the scroll wheel to roll completely smooth - it has catches that don't always line up with where I want to stop. The track ball glides smooth and effortlessly. The page back / forward buttons are a VERY sweet plus!Highly recommend.

Great Trackball

Nov 17, 2011

Have used many trackballs over the years, and really preferred the Microsoft Optical Trackball. However, when that was no longer available, I decided on this trackball. I currently have 2 of these, and both function very well. The compact size (in comparison to the Microsoft version) took a little getting used to, but now I prefer the smaller size.

Alright for normal desk use.

Apr 18, 2019

Mouse is super lightweight and does not feel/seem premium... hence the price. I do have some concerns about the small pads on the bottom that keep you from sliding the mouse: until you get used to a trackball, you will naturally try to slide it around like a laser one; and the small pads may come off soon... no longer keeping the mouse in place.

I love my TrackBall!

Aug 15, 2014

I love Logitech. With the SetPoint software, I can program the mouse buttons to do such things as copy, cut, and paste (saves a lot of time at work with the amount of these actions needed). The TrackBall itself allows for surgical positioning of the pointer (easier to stop a thumb than a whole hand). I have nothing bad to say about this product.

Best Mouse ever!

Aug 9, 2016

If you are the type of person who has problems with their wrists then this is the mouse for you. It takes some time to adjust to using a tracking ball mouse especially if you are used to a regular mouse but it is worth it. It also has a few extra buttons to go forward and back in a browser which is very helpful and requires less wrist movement.
