Ineffective software. Horrible customer support
The bundled Color Navigator software is creating profiles that render system dialogs in bright pink or green. I contacted Eizo about it. After many hours of troubleshooting, and the case being lost in their support system several times, emails bouncing from their support system, I got a message saying it was an issue with Adobe software. This was AFTER I had mentioned several times that the issue persisted both in Adobe programs and others. I h... Show More

Almost perfect for color grading.
I was looking for an affordable mid-range video monitor for color grading with DaVinci Resolve. I hooked this up thru Blackmagic Mini Monitor 4k over hdmi. This monitor is almost perfect. There is a Video mode with true 24fps support. Full 10-bit over HDMI but the monitor only works correctly in RGB mode. If you select YUV you get weird colors. I calibrated with an i1 Display Pro 2 and got very good results. Average of 1 DE, max 2.5. Most under 1... Show More

Great monitor, the best yet.
The ColorEdge was easy to set up. I plugged it in, made a color print with the factory settings and it was very good. Then I calibrated it to what I wanted and the print came out excellent. Plus the monitor sharpness was excellent.

Great monitor
I upgraded to the Eizo CG2420 monitor and have been very happy with my choice. The internal hardware calibration works great and the hood is a big plus. It is by far the best monitor I have ever used.

Don't wait any longer!
This monitor may seem pricey but what is your time and eyesight worth! Calibrate and its dead on!!! I can't believe how much time I've wasted on lesser just calibrated monitors... calibrating, profiling,re-editing only to get my prints to match after several tries. With the Eizo, anything I throw at it is dead on the first time.... and the new Monitor is the only change in my color management. Don't wait, just get one, it's worth it.

Excellent monitor!
I bought this monitor to go along with my Epson 500 printer. I now achieve much better print results. The monitor is easy to calibrate; switching between adobeRGB and sRGB to view photos or websites is simple. The monitor was simple to set up; I could see color mistakes in previous edits of my photos before my purchase of the ColorEdge. Having a detachable hood is an excellent addition. I can't believe I waited so long!

Very pleased, but expense
The quality of the monitor and the color rendering are definitely head and shoulders about other monitors I've used. Whether it's triple the price better, that is a personal decision. One of the complaints I had with other monitors is that very light gray (#F7F7F7) would always have a red tint to it no matter how much I played with the RGB channels before doing a monitor calibration. Then I always wondered how accurate the other colors were. Stra... Show More

Bad screen, not worth the money.
I recently purchased one of these. Got it home, noticed a dark mark in the corner. Put a neutral grey (127,127,127) file at 100% on the screen and stepped back - and the screen was mottled all over. Returned it to the shop, they sent it to California to be tested. Came back as within spec. Took it home, same problem. Colour shifts on the edges. Hot spot in the middle. Dark bands. (see photo). Returned it, they send me a replacement unit. Exact sa... Show More

AMAZING CG2420!!!
I love my new Eizo CG2420 it's above and beyond what I was working with and even though I was working with the Spyder 5 Elite for calibration I find the self- calibration on the CG2420 more accurate. It was so easy to transit basically plug in and go! I also find it's easier on my eyes. The Hood is easy to use and perfect during the day. For any Canadian looking for the best price B&H is it!!! Even with Customs and High US Exchange rate it's bett... Show More

Great monitor, leaps and bounds above anything I've used
Fantastic monitor. Great quality, the ability to change profiles with the front of the monitor using the buttons are great (the buttons you just barely touch, they aren't press-able they are electrostatic and super!) I'm still learning about color management and profiles and stuff and the learning curve is pretty steep for that kind of thing, but so far this monitor has delivered everywhere I've wanted it to. The true black thing is also really noticeable and the contrast is spectacular.

Excellent quality, easy to use and cost effective
It is difficult, but not impossible to get high quality prints from digital files without soft proofing. The problem is the amount of time it takes and the very high cost of the paper involved. The CG2420 is a well designed dedicated LCD monitor that incorporates automated programs to calibrate the monitor and keep it calibrated. It also comes with an effective hood that is easy to put on and take off. Finally, the company has a easily accessed a... Show More

This upgraded model is awesome
We upgraded a few of our CG247s to the CG2420 and there are a number of updates that make this monitor amazing. First, it's much lighter than the older monitors AND it has a nifty carrying handle built into the back of it. Niiiice. Second, and I love this, the monitor stand easily comes off with just a push of a button. No more dealing with screws (except to put on another mount). We haven't used this enough yet to see if this stand will become f... Show More

Great for photo editing
Eizo are highly rated monitors and this one is no disappointment. Color calibration is easy and consistent. Very happy with this monitor.

Great for editing and color correction of video!
I use this for editing and color correction of video. It has the ability to calibrate to a range of color spaces--I calibrate to Rec 709. If you take care of Eizo displays they can last a long time--I am still using a CG210 that I purchased in 2005, it still calibrates correctly.
