I purchased this printer to replace an aging Kodak multi-function inkjet unit that has given up the ghost. Very happy with my choice
I've been looking for a better photo printer than all the consumer class ones that I've tried. The Pixma Pro-100 is a low end Professional print only printer with wifi function. After about 350 4x6 photos, I found that the color reproduction is much better than all the previous consumer class printers that I've used. I'm also quite happy with the ink economy, the first ink cartridge ran out after approximately 260 4x6 prints. The overall build quality is excellent. The only drawback is its huge footprint, it measures 27x15.5 in. Canon's $200 rebate makes this printer a great buy.

I will use this product to produce gallery prints. On the negative side it does not support 11 x 14 in its standard menu

Definitely a quality printer
I've owned this printer for just a few weeks and it does a beautiful job. My wildlife shots come out so perfect. I'm very happy with it's quality.

Paper
I found it unclear what the paper's printing side was, because I am not used to making my own color prints so I don't usually handle the paper.

Confusing setup
I found the set up to be very confusing. I wanted to use the printer wirelessly, but I find it to be unnecessairly complex to set up to do so. Maybe I just speak HP instead of Canon. I also find it to be daunting choosing who should control the color management...Photoshop or the Printer.

Super Buy
Great... Great . This is my real photo printer. Paired with Canon pro-luster photo paper, this one rocks. No more printing at Costco. Don't know how long the ink will last as they are expensive. I have already bought a second set of ink

Good Choice
Although I've had the printer a very short time - too short to write a complete review - my initial comment is WOW. We ordered two printers and have only opened the first one. We printed a couple of 13x19 test pictures and we are truly impressed. When it comes to printers, only time will tell. Great quality, built like a tank!
This tank of a printer has been everything I have ever wanted. Very high quality prints with the right paper profiles. 13x19 prints are large enough for me, and the disk printing is superb. Would buy again in a heartbeat!

Top shelf prosumer
Superb color, blacks richer than Mark 9000, software bundle creative park premium a nice plus. Ink hog as expected, three black tanks near half gone after 10 large colore prints.

I am very pleased with this printer. I had the Canon Pixma Pro 9000 Mark II and was worried the prints from the Pro-100 wouldn't be as good, but they are!

Well worth it
Right out of the box, the colour reproduction is pretty close to what I see in Lightroom. I've printed a few 10x15 prints and the colour and clarity is excellent. B&W images print beautifully as well. Plus with the rebate, the printer cost is on par with a consumer level version.

Love my new Canon Pro-100
I have had my printer just a few weeks but at this point I love the pictures I have printed. I have always used a Canon for pictures and was happy but decided to try an HP multi printer which is fine for print and scanning but the color quality leaves a lot to be desired. My dining room picture wall has 30 8X10 photos that rotate and everyone loves to come and see my latest which has been dismal for the past year. I gave myself a Christmas present this year and the wall will be a much happier place.

I am very much impressed with the PIXMA Pro -100 printer
So far I have only printed 4X6 photos both from my laptop and via wifi from other computers and the resultant pictures were outstanding. I'll try larger prints later.

So far I like it a lot
I have an Epson Sure Color P 600 the same picture done in both Printers looks the same and these were made on 13 by 19 glossy/the reason I bought the new one is the ink for the Epson far to costly & shelf life way to short. So far the only thing I don't like is that it doesn't do 11 by 14 printsI will live with that.

Set up easy, prints great!
I use the printer to create prints for exhibition and for personal use. My usage will be several Prints per month. Set up went smoothly and quickly and I am very satisfied with the quality of the prints and the ease of use

Excellent Photo Printer.
Finally print photographs that are as sharp, clear, and realistic as viewed on the computer. Setup was not particularly intuitive. If settings did not take just turn off the printer, wait, and restart. Take your time and use a little patience. First test print was beautiful. Every print thereafter also beautiful. Worth the cost. No regrets. B&H packaged it well. Suggest using 2 people to unpack, lift, and place (large footprint). Highly recommend.
