exactly what I needed

Aug 4, 2011

I am a writer who spends many hours at my keyboard. I must have good ergonomic support to sustain my entire body. This keyboard is the best yet. Wrist support at the right height and angle. Keys properly placed for natural typing. Additional function keys helpful. Only drawback for my set-up is that it is too high to slide under my desk. A wood chisel fixed that problem.

Excellent Keyboard

May 4, 2011

The keyboard is great, ...with no installation CD included. Was emailed location to down load the CD, which worked OK, but I shouldn't have to go through that hassle for a NEW product. ...

almost exactly as expected for split kbd

Apr 13, 2011

I had 2 original PS2 connector'ed MS Natural kbds, but the new docking stations don't like PS2 jack adapters, and the added special functions keys on the USB version are quite nice. The padded wrist rest is very nice upgrade, as is the zoom paddle. The one downer, the space bar is a bit sticky when tapping with my right thumb on the far right edge (next to ALT key), but I expect this to wear in! ...

Great high-quality keyboard

Apr 12, 2011

Excellent sturdy feel to keys and keyboard. Love the ergonomics. Keyboard has worked flawlessly. Only con is that this keyboard has the same rear-feet as my prior Microsoft keyboard, and those broke during a move. Hoping these don't.

Does what it says

Apr 11, 2011

This is my second MS Ergonomic 4000; I spilled water on my first, which caused some keys to not work, but that is my fault. I considered Kinesis briefly after seeing some onsets of wrist troubles, but decided to try this much less expensive keyboard, and have been very happy with it. The tingling in my wrists has largely disappeared. The keyboard also works with Linux fairly well. I have disassembled my first one, and it is very easy to clean. Th... Show More

Great overall, but stiff space bar

Apr 11, 2011

This keyboard is very comfortable and I enjoy using it. The only issue I have is that the space bar is stiff and makes a loud sound when pressed. All the other keys are quiet and easy to press. The space bar issue is not a big deal to me though. Overall, I am happy with this product.

Quality Product

Mar 31, 2011

I have ordered this model of keyboard for the past few years for employees and have found it to be very dependable and long lasting. Those with wrist problems claim that this keyboard has helped in greatly easing their pain and fatigue when typing for many hours a day. The split keyboard does take some getting used to, but everyone I have ordered them for as adjusted fine.

Comfortable, but noisy spacebar

Mar 24, 2011

This seems like a really nice keyboard and is very comfortable to use. My only issue with it is the noisy spacebar. It might seem trivial but it's actually quite irritating when you do a lot of typing. I might try to put some sort of thin pad underneath it to try and silence it slightly. Overall it seems like a nice keyboard though. The padded wrist rest is very comfortable.

Faulty Product

Mar 18, 2011

The keyboard has some very neat features such as zoom. However,if you hit space bar off center, it locks the space bar. This must be a common flaw in the product in that I have found others who have had the same problem with the product. Not usable for me. Returned for a refund ...

fits like a glove

Mar 14, 2011

very comfortable/natural wrist posture. I had the original natural keyboard, but I like that this one has a padded rest. The only thing i dont like is the hight adjustment has to be detached to fit under my desk, where the old model just flipped down.

Great for users with C.T.S

Feb 17, 2011

I spend long hours on the computer and suffer from C.T.S. and with this keyboard i don't get the numb and tingling feeling in my hands near as bad as with a standard keyboard. The programmable keys and hot link keys are a great feature and a time saver. The shape of the keyboard itself takes some getting use to and it takes a bit of time to program the keys to what you want, but once those issues are past it is great.

worth the getting-used to

Feb 7, 2011

I'm a transcriber, so making the change to an ergonomic keyboard was essential. The touch in addition to the angle of the keys makes this an almost perfect aide. Use of the tab key or backspace key (an extended stretch) can hurt the hands, but with the additional use of therapeutic tape (have been to a hand surgeon/physical therapy in the past) I've been able to stave off further repetitive injuries of any kind and keep up my heavy workload.

I had the last PS2 MS keyboard

Jan 13, 2011

The keys feel a bit heavy, harder to push. I liked my last MS ergonomic keyboard much better. I do not need all the extra buttons, but needed a USB keyboard ... and this is the only one I found to my licking.

LOVE IT

Nov 17, 2010

When sober and on the ball I can type faster on this keybaord than the computer can register key strokes. With no errors. One of my tabs is broken off, but I love the keyboard so much I haven't brought myself to get a new one because its so easy to type on and everything on it still works.

HAPPY HANDS!

Aug 22, 2010

I am a freelance writer, thus I spend a lot of time at the computer. This keyboard is designed in a way that keeps my hands relaxed and makes arthritic joints happy! Love it! I accidentally spilled a drink on my desk, and didn't realize any liquid had seeped down on the keyboard. Sadly, when the electronic element went kaput after the spill, I had to replace it. You know what? I didn't hesitate to buy the exact same keyboard again! Thank you for making it!

Worst keyboard I've ever owned

May 16, 2010

Less than a year ago, I purchased this keyboard as a replacement for a Natural Multimedia Keyboard. The key configuration is significantly different, but the more significant problem is that the printing has worn off many of the keys: E, R, S, D, C, O, L, and M are essentially mystery keys. I'm a touch typist, but I still find this unacceptable. I must use a USB keyboard because my current computer has no PS/2 ports, but this keyboard is despicable. Why couldn't Microsoft have simply converted the Natural Media Keyboard to USB and left well enough alone?

Satisfied, but...

Feb 17, 2010

I like the touch and feel of the keyboard. The keyboard works great - except I tend to push the space bar with my right thumb towards the far right of the key and it has too much resistance to work when pressing it this way. Pressing on the left side the same way works fine.

Perfect keyboard for touch typists

Jan 31, 2010

I have used the natural keyboards by Microsoft for years and I am very impressed with this model. The elevated wrist area creates a natural typing environment and forces your hands to be in a position that can reduce the effects of repetitive stress disorders. It is not at all natural to sit in front of a computer all day but since today, most of us do, this is a very good keyboard for the health of your wrists, hands and shoulders. I generally do not use the advanced button assignments but there are a lot with this model, I think I may play around a bit.
