Works great for me
I use this with a Canon 6D and have had no problems. I've used this lens to take photos of the night sky. I saved a lot of money getting this lens, very happy with my purchase.

Game Changer
That's right! This lens was a game changer for me and saving me so loot to boot. I light to shoot a lot of the Milky Way. The night I received my new 14mm f2.8 happened to be on a night during the new moon. I spent the next several hours capturing some of the best images to date. You definitely can go wrong this lens.

I was looking for a good wide angle lens, cheap enough to get started. So far it is working, a little confusing at first to figure out settings, it will still take some time to get used to it. Picture quality overall is good

Nice lens for sky astrophotography!
Since the lens is rectilinear the distortion as the lens is aimed upward or downward from horizontal is minimal. For sky photography without a foreground this will not be noticeable and so this lens will be much preferred for sky photography vs my Rokinon 8mm fisheye lens. I did notice that the 14mm lens is a little soft (read blurry) along the left edge at f/2.8. The image is improved at f/3.5 and f/4. I am definitely going to enjoy using the Rokinon 14mm UWA lens for sky astrophotography.

A great lens at a price I can afford.
I purchased this lens for night photography. It's a manual focus lens, but that's standard for star photos anyway. I love the wide angle, large glass benefits for a modest price. I'm a novice photographer, but love this lens so far.

Works well with my new Canon EOS R
I'll admit, I'm just an enthusiast and student of photography, so the pros might have a different opinion on this lens. I've only used the lens a few times, but found this version with the auto focus chip works well for my needs. I took it out to Borrego Springs to make my first photos of the Milky Way and was amazed at my beginner results. (I need to go back and keep practicing!) I do have the Rokinon 24mm lens without the chip. Comparing the ... Show More

Amazing for astrophotography
I purchased this super wide angle lens specifically for a trip that involved astrophotography, and the lens did not disappoint. Even though it does have some vignetting in the corners of the pictures, it is very easy to edit with lens correction in photoshop. Clarity of the Milky Way was amazing, with pin point stars. This lens is also great for landscape photography. Overall Im very happy with my purchase, and I highly recommend this lens. The price point was also fantastic!

Great for the price
Put the Rokinon 14mm F2.8 with AE Chip on my Nikon D850. Having the AE chip certainly helps focusing. I compared the Rokinon with my 16 year old Nikon 17-35mm AF-S lens. Took the same shot at the same exposure. Not surprisingly the Rokinon is not as sharp as the Nikon, but it is sharp enough for what I want it for - taking pictures of large murals and interior rooms. One surprising discovery, the chromatic aberration was less noticeable in the Ro... Show More

Eos R
Someone wrote a review saying it wouldn't work with an Eos R . You need to go into custom settings and check Release shutter without lens so the camera works with manual focus lenses.

So far, so good.
I havent had a chance to work with this lens in the field, but initially it seems to give good results. I havent worked with a manual lens in a while, but it seems easy enough to get great results. A lot of lens for a reasonable price.

Not compatible with Canon EOS R
This lens isnt compatible with the new Canon EOS R (even with the adapter). It fits but wont snap a photo or record. I originally purchased a used lens and contacted B&H to let them know about the issue. The representative recommended purchasing a brand new lens instead but I still had the same issue. I hope this review saves someone a little time with making a decision. It probably works great for other cameras.

Great Lens
This lens has been fantastic. I use it for both landscape astrophotography and regular landscapes. Manual focus takes some practice but its worth it.

Love this lens!
Ive never had a manual focus lens before so I was wondering how it would be to use. The worry went out the window after about 20 minutes. Its so easy to focus, especially because its a wide angle. As long as Im focused just past 10, Im good front to back. Ive used it for indoor architecture and for landscapes and I love it.

Focus and value lens
This was a value purchase to have a decent wide angle when I dont want to compromise my Nikon lens. I was unaware that it is manual focus only, but with this wide of a lens, there is not selective focus options. Be mindful and enjoy! Its well worth the price and when conditions threaten your beloved brand name wide, this is the go to.

Very good value
I just got this lens so this review is not based on a lot of use. It appears to be solidly made and the lens cap snaps over the lens and built in shade and should provide good protection. I wanted the 2.8 aperture and wide angle for night shots. The F stop setting does not appear in my viewfinder (using a Sony camera with an adapter) but I shoot using manual settings so that has not proven to be a problem.

Great purchase
I decided to get into a little astronomy photography. This glass is absolutely perfect for that scenario. It seems as though at low f stops the Clusters on zooming seem to be a little coma but otherwise this is fantastic glass for the price. It does very well at lower f/stops for landscape.

Cant beat it for the price! Great astrophotography prime!
This is one glass that I primarily got for astrophotography due to its low coma. It also doubles as a really awesome landscape prime lens in your kit. Its light and small enough to fit in most bags. Manual focus is no issue since pretty much whatever you will shoot at 14mm will be so easy to focus at; you pretty much will most of the time shoot at infinity anyway. Cant use filters unless you spend hundreds on custom filters but this lens is not ... Show More

Great glass at a very nice pricepoint
Being primarily a portrait photographer I wanted to find a lens that wouldnt break the bank but would afford me a chance to work much wider than I normally do. I decided to go ahead and purchase this lens and am very glad that I did. The lens is sharp and well built. I wouldnt hesitate to buy this lens.
