ASUS Designo MX25AQ 25 Widescreen LED Backlit LCD Monitor

worth the price
Bought this to replace a smaller monitor so that I'd better be able to see photos in LightRoom. A lot better than what I had, better resolution. Excellent for just normal surfing too. ASUS has a deservedly good rep. Four stars because there are better out there, but nothing like this for the price.

Not the cheaper, but the quality is here...
How say that simply... It's a dream ! This monitor have all the characteristics I expect to find for this class of monitor : resolution near from UHD (your windows desktop will be never the same !), 100Hz, very nice curved screen (without any bad pixel), elegant, fitted with a pair of very, very good speakers. Excellent for working, surfing, gaming (Freesync available if your have a recent AMD graphics card). Coming from a twice of full HD monito... Show More

Superb monitor with some minor flaws
This is a beautiful ultrawide monitor with excellent color reproduction, fluid response time, and some extras like freesync and good speakers. It works very well for gaming and productivity work. While the image quality is very good, it looks a bit washed out compared to a high-quality IPS panel. There's some minor backlight bleed at the corners of the screen and some noticeable pixel inversion. These are all minor issues; the three biggest cons ... Show More

My eyes are happy again!
The quality and sharpness of the image is wonderful. I'm sure 4k is even better, but for the money, this is one fine monitor. I have yet to work with a photo program and printing, and see how accurate the colors are, but I have a feeling they will be very close to WYSIWYG. My old monitor was 1920x1080, and when new, wasn't bad; but I think the lighting source was beginning to show its age, hence, print getting fuzzy and not in sharp focus anymore.

Nice Monitor, but not for Mac
This is a nice looking monitor, but it would not work properly with a MacBook, MB Pro or MB Air. It was able to connect to either of the 3, but the text was always blurry no matter any setting. Sound was weaker than expected.

MX25AQ OK
The monitor is used as the display for a gaming oriented PC. The primary connection is a Display Port to the graphics board of the PC. Pros: This was definitely the right size display for what I wanted. It's lightweight and attractive. The boys seem happy about its gaming performance. Cons: This was plainly a product that had been purchased and opened before. The plastic 'peel-away' film that one normally finds on the surface of the screen (one a... Show More

good looking plug and play monitor
I bough this after returning a Dell 25 for bad functioning. Just got it Today and I'm happy, slim and good looking over my desk, i m pairing it with an ASUS Zenbook 13. No setup necessary, just plug power, hdmi and it knows which of the 3 port you are using. Very bright, pictures look beautiful. You dont need and expensive 4K. Also it has speakers, nice addition, not really powerful, but enough if sound is not your thing (gamers or movie watchers).

Exactly what I was looking for...
Along with the wide screen, clarity is perfect. Having Bang & Olufsen Technology, I expected the sound quality to be better.
