Audinst HUD-mini Compact USB DAC with Dual Headphone Amp

Amazing unit!

I wanted to hook up my Logitech Z5500 5.1 surround sound speaker system to my new 2017 MacBook Pro using optical input. Since the laptop lacks optical input, I plugged the USB cable of this amp into a Hyperdrive DUO hub for USB-C and into the laptop. The laptop recognizes the amp automatically. To get the sound to work, go to system preferencessound and switch from internal speakers to Audinst HUD-mini: speaker. This little device does the trick and I now have surround sound!
