Failing after 8 months
Worked well for 7 months, then started clicking when plugged in. Now, after plugging in, it clicks and is not recognized by the Windows 10 PC. After repeated attempts, when the drive is warmed up, it sometimes boots and is recognized by the PC.

I dont lose this one in the shade.
Typical great service from B&H. I hooked up the drive to a long cord and it took a while (and advice from a technician) to realize the cord would not handle the load, so I could not use the drive until I plugged it directly into the computer. I am glad to report the drive runs like a champ. No complaints at all. I needed a contrasting color so this drive would stand out from all the other stuff on the table. Orange works.

Great WD 4T Passport
Easy install. Very fast...especially compared to Seagate. So far so good. My 4th WD Passport and all have worked flawlessly with my Dell Inspiron laptop. Delivery and packing excellent.

Bought this for my PS4 (yes, I know there is a PS4 version, it was more expensive and from what I was told this should work too). My PS4 instantly recognized and reconfigured it and it has been working fine. Its nice and small and fits right on top of my PS4 and looks as if you needed to travel with it it would pack very well (and only needs one USB cable to work with a device as it powers through it). Cant say much for reliability as Ive had it for maybe a month if that but so far I really like it :). It was rated one of the best externals to get for the PS4 which is why I got it.

Fast, reliable encryption, simple
I bought four of these in 2017 for archiving my photo library and backing up my laptop. Very easy to set up, the encryption has been reliable with no bugs or hiccups (unlike Bitlocker or NTFS). The drives are generally low use: plugged in for a few days each month doing non-stop file sync and transfers, then placed back into storage. One pair are in my air-conditioned office, and one pair are in my warm humid home, Ive had no issues using them over the years. Very fast transfer speed on USB 3.0. Would buy them again!

Doesnt Work with Mac
This purchase I made was for a Mac version but I received one that wasnt formatted for a Mac. After days of trying to switch it, Im still not able to and unable to return it now.

Ive not taken it out of the box yet.
Bought the exact same thing from NewEgg two days earlier. The B&H version got to me in less than two days. The NewEgg version took a week and changed extra for basic shipping and handling.

WD 2TB My Passport USB 3
Convenient to carry around with lots of spaces, Worry Free not to have enough spaces. A little bit slow when saving but for what I use for, it is an excellent hard drives. I eould recommend them to all people whom are on the move quite often.

Great drive
My other one of these is almost 5 years old. Needed another offsite backup - worth buying a USB Micro B to USB C cable if you have a modern laptop. Ive got a mac, so first move is to use Disk Utility to reformat the drive so that it is native mac format.

Delicious
I ordered 4 of these 4TB drives. I can usually eat 4 or 5, 2TB drives. However, these 4TB drives really filled me up. I couldnt even finish eating three. Delicious blueberry flavor. I also like the orange and vanilla flavored drives. Cant wait for WD to come out with organic.

nothing to set up, just plug in. the transfer of about 600+ videos took only about 4 hours, much shorter than my last drive.

Honors the WD name
A large amount of storage in a small package. And until SSD storage units come way down in price, this is what I will be using. Im really glad it is small as well. The older, larger units take up so much space that storage became a problem. The smaller size solves that problem.

Works great and seems to be a reliable portable.
I have 2 of these, one I had since this model was released and it worked great for years until it was accidentally dropped from about a 5 foot height. I purchased a new one to replace the old one because it had been so reliable for so long before that. I travel a lot and this drive goes with me everywhere I go. I put my movie collection on it and any data I need for the current trip. Its never let me down...

Nice External Drive
Installs fairly easily. I was surprised to find that it runs on USB power so no AC power cord is needed. We will see how it holds up over time, but it functions very well in its first month of use.
