I've been using these for our business for a year or so and they are just fantastic for the price. As a web cam in general you can stop looking with this one. sharp image may be too sharp/ can't zoom/ color is awful with no filter option/ no special effects like the old version which my kids loved/ high res with low creativity /disappointed

Nice Camera but...
This appears to be a nice camera and seems to have a good auto focus, but you need 3rd party S/W to use it which MicroSoft doesn't supply. I was only able to see the image on Windows 8.1 Camera but that offered no ability to record or save, just the live image in realtime. I am returning it for that reason since it seems to be a hassle finding S/W for it.

Great Webcam, would by it again!
I use this webcam to have conversations with friends, it is easy to set up, and pretty much does what a webcam will do. The picture is crystal clear. I am very satisfied with my purchase. As always, speaking for myself, I am very at ease with all the purchases I have made from B&H, as I feel with all confidence that should something be wrong, or amiss they will do their best to make the problem right. This is the best feeling one could possibly have, when ordering online.

Turns off after a few minutes and wouldn't turn on again.
The camera works well until it stops working a few minutes into conference. Unreliable piece of hardware.

Very nice
Pleasantly surprised by this camera! After years of using a high-end Logitech consumer webcam, this LifeCam is a big step up. Higher resolution, brighter, clearer picture, and better microphone. It has a very adaptable mounting system, and is secure on the top of my monitor. Also, the microphone works perfectly for Hey Cortana!

Good picture but less functionality than a Logitech cam.
Could not configure it top work with my Skype Preview so using it with Skype desktop. Does not have mirror imaging.

Easy install and sharp image
I use LifeCam to make training videos which I shoot and edit, then release them on You Tube. My background is as a professional commercial and corporate video producer. Works well after tweaking
I installed this on a computer that was upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10. The installation process was not swift: I had to disable the built-in webcam of the laptop in Device Manager so that camera software would be forced to switch to this one. The image looks nice but the 1080 is mostly about size of the image the quality is not top notch for advanced detail, but works for most things.

Good webcam
This webcam takes good video at a reasonable price. The integrated microphone picks up pretty good, with little background noise. The only complaint I have is that when recording video with an external mic, the sound doesn't align with the video.

Great Webcam
This webcam is great for anyone who wants to do anything from skype call to live stream. This camera has great quality for the price. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a cheap and reliable webcam.

The picture is sharp and clear. The automatic focus work well on the webcam too. You can place it to the top of your monitor and it's stable. The webcam has a 5 1/2 UBS cable that isn't shown in the picture. You don't need to buy a cable unless you need a longer cable. Small and Versatile
I bought LifeCam along with a C920 to see which one was best. They are equal. But, don't expect a big camera. This one will fit in the palm of you hand.

Very good value
Worked great right out of the box. The only problem I had is with Microsoft not supporting the camera controls in Win 8.1. I have to be happy with the built-in Win 8.1 controls (with no pan, tilt, zoom); or use a third party software.

I like it
I use this mainly for Skype. I wanted much better resolution and image quality than my laptop's built in webcam, and that I got. Did much better in less light - to be expected. I really like the base of the camera - has the lip to hang it over a monitor/tv plus the tripod mount. The lens cover is just as others have said, it is loose and the only problem so far (minor).

Extremely Happy
I have always been happy with Microsoft Webcams and this one is on different. Excellent picture quality and easy setup and use. I recommend this cam to anyone. Just wish they would have operating systems that worked just as well...LOL

Overall, it is a good product. The image quality is good. My one issue is a little bit of a delay, especially with high quality imagning. It may be my computer, but other than that, I have no complaints.

Excellent Webcam
I can't say enough good things about this webcam. It works great, looks great, and is a good price for the quality. The only negative is the software Windows tries to install automatically. It's junk software that you don't need. The drivers install first which is what you need for Skype, Google Hangouts, etc. The extra software from Microsoft is useless.

Really Really Bad
I'm living and studying overseas and Skype and Zoom are a good way to keep in touch with my family and friends back home. This is why I've bought 4 Microsoft LifeCam Studio cams to use them (bought 2 of them 2 yrs ago from B&H, then I bought 2 from a seller on @). They are/were excellent when they've worked. However, since I've upgraded to Windows 8 and then to 8.1 the cam's driver keeps crushing every now and then and I have to disconnect the camera and connect it again, which sometimes may or may not solve the problem.

Microsoft Lifecam Studio
I use this camera for daytime surveillance of my home driveway entrance so that anytime I'm on my computer I can see anyone who arrives. I leave it in 720 mode instead of 1080 so that I can leave it zoomed in.

Good Image Quality, Easy setup
Very good image quality. Very easy to setup if you have windows 7 or 8. Just plug it in and the software automatically downloads and installs.Only problem that I think of is the lens cap is just soft rubber and doesnt fit very tightly. It tends to just fall out from time to time on its own. I can see this getting easily lost.It can be used on a Mac as well (with Mactaris, an $ app from the App store)

Bad pic qual, dont work really on Mac
The fist product Ive bought at b&h Im not happy with. I have given away it, in case of to high freight charges to send back to US from EU. The missing information is, that the cam are not working with a Mac (I have really checked it in front of my order) as a plug and play. The standard view is overexposed and unusable.
