I have had several versions of this drive and this is my fave. Love the case has a very solid feel but not easily scratched. They seem to have discontinued the metal case version...but I like this better. Also a great value...plus quick as usual shipping

WD 2TB Elements Portable USB 3.0 External Hard Drive
This is one handy little unit, and it is real! This is the 3rd external Hard Drive (4.5X3x0.50) weighs maybe 4oz. I like it and here in a moment, I am going to give it top marks. I said this unit was real, because it is the 3rd unit I ordered. The first 2 ended up being a plastic box, with a piece of metal in them. Sad!! This one is real, and works just fine. It is quick too. I plan to order a 4GB, as soon as I can come up with the money, just to see how fast it is. The little on is as fast as a ct with a burr up its ... Thank you Harold

Okay quality, not sure about longevity

A good product, and an amazing B&H
The hard drive itself is as expected and works all fine. Nothing bad also nothing fancy. Data transfer speed is decent. Just want to say thank you to B&H. FedEx messed up and lost my first package. I sent emails to both B&H and FedEx at the night of the delivery date, and got response from B&H within 15 min. Now I have received the product, while FedEx still has no voice at all. Thank you B&H for offering such an amazing customer service!

As expected
I already have several WD Elements HDDs, so this one comes as no surprise. It is actually very slim, almost half the depth of an identical one I got a few months earlier. I highly recommend.

They work extremely well and fit into your pocket
There is always room for a fast and trouble free smaller sized external hard drive. I have six of these and love them...the most useful size available for fast and effortless usage...in a practical size. Get one, and you'll never look back.

Depending on the format, it is recognized in both the MAC and the window. I am using it every day, but it is stable.

Decent Temporary Back up hard drive
There's a part of me that gets a little nervous dumping a ton of footage and old projects on this thing. But it's a decent back up hard drive if you need something to dump to and leave alone. I wouldn't use this for any heavy activity. But it's affordable enough if you need something in a pinch to place footage or photos on. It hasn't failed me yet. But then again, I am already investing another hard drive to replace this one. I'm sure this will be a last resort drive.

Western Digital Doesn't Provide Backup Software
I'm sure this is a excellent portable drive, but WD Backup & WD SmartWare doesn't support this drive. That was my reason for purchasing this drive was that their software was easy to use and worked flawlessly.
