Perfect

May 15, 2018

Perfect for working with a DAW on my workstation. One output to my headphones, another to monitors. Gives me more gain than the computer can. What can I say...works perfectly for what I do! Thanks ART!

Best. Headphone amp. Ever.

Oct 10, 2016

This thing is great. The introduced noise level is nonexistent as far as I can tell. My wife and I use it to watch TV at night so we don't wake the kids. We can both plug in our favorite headphones/earbuds and control our own volume settings. I also use it in my office paired with an ART SplitMix4 to mix the sound from multiple computers to a single set of powered speakers. The +20dB gain is perfect to overcome the -12dB from the passive mixer, and still give a little oomph. I may buy a third one of these soon.

I can listen to music as loud as I want and my wife can listen as she wants. Just what I wanted to keep peace at home while listening to music....

Clean audio

Jan 21, 2014

I bough a Focusright Forte and wanted a little bit more boost of audio for my headphones (AKG K240 mk II). I didnt necessarily need four ports but it was an added bonus. My main concern was for it to amplify without any noticeable distortion and or background notice (hiss etc.) we'll I was pleasntly surprised. It sounds great! I am pleased with the performance and I have no problem recommending it. Solidly built!

Does the job!

We're using this in a corporate setting for podcasts and other types of broadcast applications. For what we need it for, it works great. I can't comment on the sound quality other than it sounds good on spoken word sessions.

Surprisingly Sound

Jun 26, 2012

Great things DO come in small packages. The ART Four Channel Stereo Headphone Amp offers a real punch to your studio headphones. Built of metal and molded for performance and durability, this tiny little amplifier delivers independent control over four channels - with two size input selections per channel. Don;t give this a second thought if you are in the market for such a device - ART and B&H have you covered once again.

Well built, sounds good.

I like it because it has flexible in/out (both 1/4 and 3.5mm options on input and outputs). Knobs feel nice and aren't easily bumped accidentally. Sound quality is great. Solidly built. I use it to share a wireless headphone signal on my home theater for movies and gaming.

Simple and to the point

Sep 14, 2011

The product is simple. Has everything it says. One IN and four OUTS each with separate volume control, and a choice of 8mm or 1/4 inch jacks (which comes in very handy). The only really annoying thing is that there is no on/off switch, which means that to turn it off you need to unplug it, which means you cant really set it up in a permanent place at the back of your desk with lots of other cables.

little honest cheap guy

Mar 18, 2011

i am using this headamp with a pair of akg 702 headphones. it just works great, no noise so far. it is small, nice 1/4 and 1/8 input and outputs, works with just everything outthere. could have a on/off plug, but i can livewith that. could be a little more powerful, but i guess i would get deaf in a few months... very good quality forthe price.

Outstanding Value and Preformance

Feb 1, 2011

This little unit is built like a battleship and preforms flawlessly right out of the box. I have not found any noise or distoration caused by this headamp. It is perfectly suited for my needs of home recording.

Love this product

Jan 3, 2011

Use this in my home and portable studio when on the road. This unit is well built,VERY VERY quiet! smooth operating controls. Great price!Personally, I love the lack of a power button. Unit is always on. The added 1/8 output and inputs leave more time for recording than looking for headphone adaptors. Buy this unit, you'll love it! Great product, easy to use

Nov 15, 2010

Great product, easy to use and install. I used this amp in a museum installation and was able to fit it behind a flat screen TV. I wish it were a little thinner but it most cases it's not a concern. It easily powered 4 pair of Audio Technica ATH-M30's.

Gut it and then you'll have something

Oct 3, 2010

Do a test, compare the sound of this to your interface's headphone out (if the interface is a decent one). If you gut this and replace all of the signal path components, it will be a fine unit.

Perfect for home studios.

Aug 5, 2010

Nice compact unit. Doesn't take up any space. More than adequately powers headphones which is helpful when recording multiple singers/musicians simultaneously. I use it with my Tascam portastudio. Very economically priced. Why pay double when double is not needed. Can also be used to watch movies on laptops when the kids are in bed. Each person gets their own headphones.
