Works as intended
It's a big drive, a tad on the slow side, and a little on the loud side but I can't complain. It does what I want it to and that is hold a lot of information and take up as little amount of space as it can.

This will fit my needs for many years
I'm storing photographs on mine. It has more space than I need at this time but it's nice to know the space is there when I will need it eventually.

Great product.
I use this drive for personal use. To back up pictures, music files, and family movies. I used it for about two weeks flawlessly. Quick and successful file transfers, without issues. This is my 8th Seagate external backup hard drive. Seagate is always reliable.

Slowest Drive Ever
Drive sees USB 3.0 ports as USB 2.0 on my machine and shows a warning every time it starts up. Seagate advised updating drivers. No improvement after doing so. Seagate then said a bad cable shipped with this unit -- but ignored my request for them to replace it. The plug that goes into the drive is not like any USB connector that I have ever seen. Does the Job
No Problems with it, works, 3.o data transfer speeds, sort of wish I had gotten the bus powered one for easier portablity but, thats ok this can be my stay at home drive.

Solid Storage
I've only used this hard drive for a few weeks, so I can't judge its longevity, but it's working well. I've typically only purchased Western Digital drives for video work, but I bought this one as a large solution for Time Machine backup with my iMac because it was less expensive. Even though the drive is only listed as compatible with Windows out of the box, I can attest that it works fine with Macs as long as you re-format it with Disk Utility as soon as you get it.

Nice design, does it's job, affordable
I use a mac, formatted this device to my mac and it works great. It's load and unloads faster than I thought. If I remember correctly, it took 35 minutes to upload 200 gb. Impressive.

Great for Xbox One!!!!
I purchased this drive to add 4TB to my Xbox One which was FULL rather quickly. Nice design & SIMPLE plug & play with only a QUICK format of the drive once you plug it in. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Two Seagate 3TB work in tandem
I don't know why the vendors expect us to review drives when we first plug them in. How can I give a hard drive a 5 star rating until they've run for 4 or 5 years with no issues. So far so good, however. I use a product called Crashplan for cloud and local backup option and I recommend it. Cheap way to get a good bare 4 TB drive
I bought these just for the bare drive. Funny marketing: the drive + USB interface + enclosure + power supply is cheaper than just the drive. In any case, the drives work well. I store lots of home video on them. They spin down when not in use, but they're powered on 24/7. Backblaze's latest failure rates show a pretty typical rate for these drives.
