USR support site says the product works with Windows 10. No, not really. Windows 10 has discontinued use of the SMB1 protocol and strongly advises against using it (because of security vulnerabilities). However, this product requires SMB1 to work. USR does NOT have a firmware upgrade to SMB2, and their support staff simply says enable SMB1. Sorry, not worth the risk of ransomware, etc. No. Just don't buy it. If you need a NAS device to work with Windows 10, make sure it does not require SMB1 to work.

control panel is clunky, but works. Runs hot, I set it on shelf with a bookend on top to make a heat sink. price is nice.
