Okay

Aug 20, 2019

Used for drummers when tracking. They don't block out enough noise, you still need to have them loud when tracking. And that is the only usable scenario for these headphones because the tone is so bad, they make your guitars and vocals sound so bad it puts you off. Good quality, they seem well made. But I've had better use with earbuds covered by ear protectors.

decent bass but...

Aug 8, 2019

I found the bass response on these headphones more than adequate but other frequencies are quite muffled. These headphones could be used with an EQ and reproduce any kind of music content or speech. They didn't match for my intended purpose but I am keeping them for some other use. A remarkable thing though is that they achieve great isolation from ambient noise.

Great pair of drummer headphones

Excellent noise isolation with an OK sound. I use them as monitors as a drummer, they perform their job outstandingly :)

Fine for drumming & recording

Good isolation. Tight fit. Reasonable comfortable; but can get a bit sweaty under there. The cable is a bit sensitive / fragile; so don't go pulling it too much. Great all-round cost effective solution!

100% isolation

Don't blame yourself with lumberjack design. I use these headphones as a listening device of mix when the space is full of noise. I also listen to the music trough them when I'm cutting grass with mower - really comfortable :D. Screwing jack reduction ( 3,5 to 6,3 ) ( part of package ) don't loses signal and fits pretty well. Really good tool for drummers and for musicians who have rehearsals with drummer, without speakers using only headphones connected to some device. Ratio of frequences is not 100%, I would say 70%. For this price, when I discovered how they work, I bought another pair.

good ear muffs

May 7, 2019

Pro: - overall sturdy, built to last - very good as hearing protection, using at rehearsals(drummer), needs a little bit of accommodation, cause cuts down a little bit of the bass Cons: - sound is horrendous, thinking to cut off the wire, and to use it only as ear muffs

The knockoff Vic Firth drumheadphones.

Apr 27, 2019

I own an electric drumkit and I wanted to practice without hearing the constant rubberpad noise. I figured that one of these noisecancelling headphones would be the solution to that. I knew that the Vic Firth headphones were really popular among drummers so I looked up some reviews. People were saying the soundquality wasn't great, but it wasn't noticeable because it was meant for drumming purposes anyway. Those Vic Firth headphones were a bit pr... Show More

Poorer than expected

Sound They sound really thin and i really didn't expect that much from these. Fit They don't isolate sound as they dont form a good seal around your ears. I have 'medium' size ears and generally don't experience any fitting issues with headphones when it comes to overall shape of my head. Don't waste your money and buy something else.

ok so here it goes..

Pros: - none. Cons: - they hurt your ears becase the inside plastic is not that deep inside of the ear cup.. so even if you have small years attached to your head..it will hurt like hell if you play more than 15 minutes. - they are heavy... - they don't isolate sound that good..only if you play soft kind of music. - the sound quality is really bad.. no bass, the rest sounds a lot like a tin can. - if you have a big head it will push your ears up and it's really uncomfortable.

I use them mostly for recording acoustic guitars and vocals and they are amazing to that thanks to their great insulation. Very well made and solid product.

Cheap and works

Jul 26, 2018

I use it in my studio when recording drums, or other instruments as a monitor headset for the musician. It isolates pretty well, so there is minimal bleed both inwards, and outwards while recording. Could be a little bit more comfortable, but for the price it is great.

Good for drummers

If a drummer is tracking in a studio these could work great as sound dampeners. The sound is like shit but they damp the sound well.

Suitable for use with older child

May 22, 2018

These were recommended by the drum teacher. The headphones fit a 10-year old as well as an adult -sized head. The sound isolation is not complete, you can still hear the drums and have a conversation. However, it is enough to take the edge off the drum sound and stop your ears hurting. Playback from an ipod also works well.

Great external noise insulation, but average sound.

May 2, 2018

I bought these to use when monitoring when recording my band 'live' in a rehearsal studio. My set up is a 24 track portable recorder and small headphone amp, and I record drums, bass, guitars and vocals. With no separate control room, it is often hard to hear what is going in to the recorder when the band is playing in the room. I wanted a cheap set of 'phones which would insulate me from external noise to carry around with my portable ... Show More

Good alternative to the VF ones, for less than half the price!

Feb 10, 2018

I bought these headphones one year ago, because as a drummer, i was tired of using normal in ears with cheap earmuffs on top of them, so i could ear music and isolate the sound of my drum set. These headphones do both, they isolate external sound, and they let you ear the band/mp3/etc you're playing with. They are pretty similar to the Vic Firth ones, but they cost less than half the price. They also isolate a little less than the VF, but ... Show More

Excellent budget headphones for recording

Jan 20, 2018

I've used these headphones as monitors for myself and the musicians during recording sessions. I am a bedroom producer, but have successfully recorded vocals, guitars and drums with these headphones. These headphones are usable specifically for recording tracks. The metronome doesn't bleed into microphones, and the noise suppression is so good you can play along backing tracks with a loud amp or drums. Unlike the isolation, the sound quality... Show More

Makes it a lot easier to practice to songs for drummers

Nov 28, 2017

I use these for playing the drums mostly and it makes it a lot easier to practice to songs, no matter how loud I am playing. The price is great for the quality you get. They feel quite comfortable on the ears but are a little bit heavy. Would highly recommend to drummers.

Good Purchase

Nov 15, 2017

I bought multiple pairs of these for my home studio and can safely say they are a good product for the price. I have multiple musicians using these at the same time and yet to have a complaint from anyone. I found they provide good isolation from the room and a good sound in the headphones. I wear these while playing drums and feel that they provide good protection to ears from the hours a week spent on my double bass drum kit. Hopefully these will stop me going half deaf by 35.

Good and sturdy headphone

Nov 9, 2017

For the last couple of weeks I've been using this headphone for serveral purposes: 1. Daily music listening 2. Recording Soundwise it has a good overall performance, the bass response is a bit flat, but allright. The headphone really shines when using in a recording setting. It really helps to eliminate the re-recording of the clicktrack when using a microphone! My ears tend to get a bit warm, because of the closed construction. Last but not least, the headphone is very sturdy, made for regular use.

Aug 1, 2017

I use these for home recordings. They're a good build and comfortable, but after a few hours of wearing them they begin to feel less comfortable pressing in on the ears. The sound is of good quality, although I have found them to be a little bass heavy, but not in an overpowering way. The sound separation in a mix it provides is good, and the environmental noise cancelling of the headphones is really good.

Good cheap headphones for drummers

Mar 10, 2017

I bought these headphones for monitoring the metronome when recording drums. They are absolutely fine for that, as they keep the sound from leaking out of the headphones and into the mics. PROS: Good noise suppression CONS: 1. Not very comfortable to wear for long periods of time, as they are quite hard and stiff. 2. The sound is actually quite bad, so it would not be okay for anything else than metronome monitoring . For... Show More

Good but hurts my ears after a while

Mar 7, 2017

Plenty of other reviews so I won't repeat what others have said, would just like to chip in and say it hurts my ears (not the sound, the fit) after a few songs. It would have also been nice if the cord detaches from the earphones so it can be used just for noise cancellation... Other than the above two things, it's a decent pair for the price. Edit: Update, if you live in a snowy country this is pretty awesome to keep your ears warm, add this to the Pros list :) (Rate my comments, it encourages me to go nuts! )
