I've been a customer of B&H for a very long time. (Started photography in 1972 then video in 1983) These people Speak with you over the phone. You can actually speak with a person, unlike other sites where you just place an order and hope for the best. You can call just about anytime during normal business hours and get a very knowledgable technician to assist you. The return policy is also something to note. Cost Effective Memory Upgrade for iMac
I bought two kits to upgrade my new 27 iMac with retinal 5K display from original 8GB into 32GB. Main applications are mainly running Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom. The memory upgrade was very simple, just opened up the memory door at the back of 27 panel, pop the two 4GB SODIMM out and inserted the four new 8GB modules in. Closed the door and rebooted the iMac. The iMac immediately recognized the new memory and ran smoothly without any problem. ... Show More

A Crucial Upgrade
My 2.3 GHz i7 15 2012 MacBook Pro only shipped with 4GB of RAM. I constantly had issues with slow performance and software crashes (I'm a video editor). But, the moment I installed this 16GB RAM set from Crucial, I noticed much more reliable performance and increased speeds while using applications ranging from video editing apps (Media Composer, Premiere and FCPX - I use them all) to simple text apps and browsers. I'm updating my previous review. I bought an iMac 5K and this memory does work well in it BUT only if you use Crucial memory without Apple memory. If you add these modules to an iMac 5K that also has stock Apple memory, you will get kernel panics and it will constantly freeze up and reboot. After a day of this, I wasn't able to start my mac at all and had to bring it into the @. If you run a diagnostic check with both types of memory you will get... Show More

Worked perfectly in a late 2012 27" iMac
My iMac had become almost unusably slow (1-2 minutes to load a program, 10+ mins to boot up) and crashed frequently. I wiped the hard drive and started over with no improvement, so I decided to buy a memory upgrade and add 16GB to the existing 8GB for a total of 24GB. Fortunately I'd seen a review on Amazon that recommended rearranging the existing cards and the new ones in the slots--the first time I installed these, a got no boot up and th... Show More

A Must Do Upgrade For Any Ma ini User
I purchased this kit the same time I bought a 4gb Ma ini. I never even powered the unit on before installing the RAM kit. As expected, the installation took about 2 minutes (1 of which was getting the swivel locks to close again on the Mini) and the Mini has had no problems with the RAM upgrade. Since I've been installing RAM in Macs since the convoluted 'snip the diode' Mac 512KE era, this was a no brainer and at an enormous cost savings compare... Show More

perfect upgrade for Mac mini
I bought Mac mini with only 4GB of RAM as I was not sure how I would use it. Now that I am putting more stuff on this small box, and especially playing with virtual machines in Parallels, I definitely need more memory. Choosing Crucial/Micron over other brands was a no-brainer, I've been using Micron for more than 10 years and have nothing to complain. Installation in Mac mini is very easy, too, and does not require any tools. Surprisingly enough, buying the same sticks from Crucial directly would be more expensive, plus Crucial charges sales tax in California. So again, money well spent.
