Sirui P-326 vs Induro CM25
First I bought Really Right Stuff's monopod which while premium quality was overkill for my needs and too big to be easily packable and concealable. The Sirui and Induro CM25 looked like the next best thing so I bought both to decide. When they arrived I did some basic testing. Out of the box the Sirui was a couple of inches shorter and more compact than the Induro, yet fully extended it was about 3 inches taller. This was obvious from the specs ... Show More

P326 vs Manfrotto 681B
I have been using a Manfrotto 681B with spike cup feet for several years. Recently also need a really short monopod so I can store in a small case with head fitted. After some research, went for the SIRUI P326. Must say 681B and P326 is not an apple to apple comparison because the Manfrotto is aluminium while SIRUI is carbon fibre. SIRUI has twice the number of sections as the Manfrotto. I wanted one that is strong and set up quickly. I still do.... Show More

Excellent All-Purpose Monopod
Every serious DSLR photographer needs a monopod. This monopod does it all: very light, easy to setup and adjust, very compact, easily handles a Nikon D7100 with battery pack/handle and 18-300mm zoom lens with no wobble, and it is well made for heavy use. I loved my Manfrotto 680B monopod until I used the Sirui P-326. Despite having six sections and thus five adjustment collars, the Sirui sets up very fast and is almost unbelievably sturdy even wh... Good value for the money
I was in the market for a good quality monopod. My main use will be for my upcoming Alaska trip and indoor low light shooing for Hurst Castle tour. After several reviews online (Angry Photographer on YouTube was one of them), I decided on the SuriP326. Solid monopod. Good fit and finish. No wobble when extended. I am using the monopod with Kurt BH-3 ball head. There was a very slight overhang but didnt cause any issues. As another user posted, wh... Show More

Short and high quality monopod
Length: The number one selling point for this monopod is the short foldable length of 15.5 inches where a longer monopod is less portable both for storage and to carry around. The Gitzo GM2562T is shorter at 14.2 inches but the last 2 legs at the bottom are smaller (not as strong), although they are both 6 sections monopod. The P-326 can be easily fitted into a backpack or a small to medium camera bag. You probably will use it more than the longe... Show More

It does the job, not overpriced
I carefully select my equipment. With limited funds I cannot afford to redo purchases. The only thing I worried about this was the screw height adjusters vs. quick release. I was willing to return & spend the extra $ on a RRS (or equal) monopod later if this wasn't well made. I just purchased a 7dmii, 70-200 2.8ii, 24-70 2.8ii for my girlfriend. It was important for her to have something light, strong (and short) enough for her hiking. The day af... Show More

First Impression - Very Light, VerySolid
I bought this monopod so that I can put it in my luggage when heading to a destination, while still having a solid base to work from when I get there. When I first picked up the BH box from the warehouse, I thought it was empty. This monopod is very light, but also very solid when extended. There is NO play in the first four extensions, and you have to push to get the 5th extension to flex. The twist mechanisms are very quick to open/close, as is... Show More

It is what it says.
This is my first Monopod/Tripod. I use it to hold a small video camera for kids events, while sitting down. I found hand-holding a video camera for an hour produced terribly shaky results. I know, it is an obvious conclusion... I finally got fed up and started looking for a solution.I wanted an extremely small, lightweight, but sturdy Monopod. It fits the bill. It is very light, much lighter than I was expecting. It adjusts really easily. The leg ... Show More

Excellent Monopod
Although I have a light weight high quality tripod (Gitzo carbon traveler), I was looking for something even lighter to take on vacation trips. This monopod is similar in construction quality to the Gitzo, but weighs only about a pound. It also collapses quite small. The knobs to extend the sections work in a similar fashion to the Gitzo, so that they can all be quickly loosened or tightened. I am using an Olympus EM-1 with this monopod. The Olym... Show More

Good monopod, useless compass
This monopod is sturdy and feels good in the hand. It extends and collapses easily with the twist locks. I prefer those to lever locks because twist locks are more compact and dont stick out, making stowage in the side pocket of my backpack easier. It holds my 5 pound camera securely when extended. I added a Joby ballhead (see photo) to make mounting/unmounting my camera easier and faster. (I use one on my tripod as well, so use the same mounting ... Show More

Nice quality monopod
This is the first manufactured monopod that I have handled and had other than my trusty homemade wood walking stick one with a monopod head on it. The fit and finish and light weight is awesome BUT, with my 400 F2.8 on it, it is a bit wobbly in the leg while you are maneuvering it around and tilting the lens up and down causing a side load on the leg. You need to have the head tension dangerously loose to avoid the side load on the leg. My lens a... Show More

Very Solid!
I typically have Manfrotto tripods and heads so the was my first thought when getting a monopod. Was concerned about Manfrotto's latch system, while fine on a tripod was fearful of snagging with the mobility a monopod provides. Absolutely wanted carbon fiber, not because of the weight savings which is negligible on a monopod, but hot/cold transfer issues I had noted on my aluminum 055PROB and carbon fiber 190CX. Biggest concern I had when orderin... Show More

lightest and most versitile
After looking at pretty well all the lightweight monopods on the market i purchased this one. It was a good choice for the price. I wanted one to attach to my pack when travelling. I fitted the oben vh-r2 head. I mainly use it for video with 70-200 2.8 on a canon 5dm2. I have found it necesary to stabilise the monopod with a pvc pipe handle about 10 long that attaches at right angles to the top of the monopod. This handle takes out laterial twist... Show More

Great,but...
This is great monopod which I intend to use for both camera support and also as a hiking stick. In terms of camera support, I intend on using this on safari in Southern Africa, inside the vehicle where i'll clamp the monopod to the vehicle's bars using some clamps - and the spongy setion on the monopod does not reach all the way to the base of the head mount, which is great as this leaves space to add a clamp. On the downside, out of the box, as ... Show More

Solid, Lightweight alternative
This is a lightweight, solid, well constructed alternative to the more expensive Gitzo's. The twist locks operate smooth and provide a snug lock. The 22lb load capacity is more then enough to support a gripped 600D and Sigma 150-500 with no flex or creep fully extended. The carabiner with compass is a nice touch and it's light enough that this handy clip allows you to easily hang from your belt loop or bag while not in use. The top plate flips to... Show More

Siriu-ously good
I love these folks products. (I also recently purchased the T-2205X tripod.) The design, packaging, quality, features, etc. The weight-to-size ratio is excellent. At 15.25 inches contracted this little beauty will go into just about any photo bag, carry-on or backpack. The padded section of the upper column will be much appreciated once the snow starts flying here in Colorado. The removable hand strap includes a carabiner and a compass. Note that... Show More

Contact point to the ground is too small on a floor
Maybe used in grass it would be nice, but I am using my camera mostly inside. On a normal floor, the way the rubber is made, and also the fact there is a hole in it, the contact surface is less than a few square millimeters. That make the monopod pivot on itself very much, and cause camera shake and blurry pictures. And that even with a heavy 70-200mm lens. If the surface contact was greater that would not occur. I wish the design was better. In ... Show More

Perfect!
I was going to get the top Feisol monopod before I saw this one. The Feisol would be stiffer, as it has less sections, but then it's a monopd, so ultimate stiffness isn't all that important. This one seems just fine for my 5D, battery pack, and 400/3.5 lens, even when on a hard angle. I just LOVE how compact it is. You use a monopod so as to be less visually intrusive, so it makes sense to carry something really small. The twist-locks work perfec... Show More

Great for travel
I got this monopod for travel situations where we are part of a tour group. It's hard to use a tripod under these circumstances, but the monopod works quite well. It does not give the rock solid stability of a good tripod, but it does give much better stability than I could provide without it. This monopod collapses into a very short item that is easy to pack and extends high enough for me to look through the viewfinder while barely bending forwa... Show More

Light and strong a great combo
I have two Manfrotto monopods both in aluminum but wanted a light weight one for travel. I have the Sirui N-1204 carbon fiber tripod with one of the legs that unscrews to make a monopod but don't like doing that. I ordered the P326 six section and ordered the Sirui G-10 head to go with it. This makes for a very light but very strong combination that holds my D-7100 and D-800 like a rock even with some of my longer heavy glass. Connected hand stra... Show More

Meets my needs
I wanted a monopod that was lightweight, compact, sturdy, and not weather-adverse (I shoot high school outdoor sports - rain or shine). This Sirui monopod met those requirements. Yes, to make it sturdy you want to leave about 1 inch of each extension tucked back up in the prior extension. This is not a problem for me. The fully extended height was more than I needed and when I added a ball mount I had more height - so losing 5 inches was not a bi... Show More

Surprisingly good
Seems to be outstanding build quality. Very lightweight, and small enough to not only be carried easily, but in a pinch, where even monopods aren't allowed, we were able to use it fully collapsed as a body stabilized pod. Fantastic monopod. I use this regularly to boom my camera in the air for aerial group photos, a higher perspective for landscape/architectural photos, etc. I trigger it from a remote release, and it works extremely well. Light and well made
I have never owned a monopod before but I splurged and bought this super light carbon fiber monopod. Very light, strong, and tall enough for me. I'm just over 5'8 and fully extended the viewfinder is at about eye level for me. I frequently have to shorten the monopod. However, it is no substitute for a tripod. It improves stability at slower shutter speeds but it gives me at most a stop. Perhaps I haven't had enough practice. Better than handhold... Show More
