Very, very good ... but ...
Excellent headphones with super clear, balanced, crisp, and (here is the rub) almost sterile neutral sound. Extremely accurate. No coloration. No excessive bass. Super accurate mids and highs. Large and wide sound stage. And, yet, they are almost too clear and crisp, NOT harsh or sibilant, yet a bit fatiguing over time. I often boost the bass and reduce the treble with a graphic equalizer. Superb
Bought as a set of listening headphones in place of a set of studio headphones I had been using before (AKG 142). Great design, very comfortable when using for extended time and fantastic overall sound for the price. First pair of open headphones I have purchased so nothing to compare to on this front, but very pleased overall.
