Great value

Jun 3, 2012

Wow, this works really well. I bought it for the band at our church. Makes it very easy for someone who plays an instrument or sings to have a decent in-ear monitor without spending a fortune. Very solid all-metal construction. Setup and use are very simple; the diagrams & labels silk-screened onto the top make it easy to see what should plug in where. I highly recommend the optional MSC106 mic stand adapter if you're using this on stage. Only dr... Show More

Worth every penny!

Feb 8, 2017

We use this for our drummer because he obviously isn't mobile and doesn't need a wireless IEM. We can put the lead guitar or the bass through the mic thru so he can control something specific to his liking. I would recommend using this for any band member who isn't mobile (like keyboardists/drummers). Vocalists and guitarists may look a bit weird with a headphone chord keeping them anchored to one spot. I'd also recommend raising the volume on th... Show More

Small but Powerful

Jun 20, 2013

I needed a quick and easy solution to monitors for a band, as wedges were giving too much feedback. Using the PM50s, we got a very easy solution with great sound. My musicians are still raving about the quality. This device feels sturdy, and really works well. Although it does mean that wires are running around the stage, it offers sound precisely where one needs it. One should take care to see about whether the input is stereo or mono, as a jump... Works as Advertised

Feb 9, 2015

I use the PM-50 as the headphone amp for radio broadcast remotes. My talent had complained they could not hear themselves well in the headphone mix. They now can turn themselves up without effecting their levels in the broadcast. Whats great is the box is small, portable and easy to modify for my purpose. I was able to add a cough switch to the top of the box with little trouble. I also eliminated the wall wart. The gain of the mic level was not enough. By changing one component that problem was solved. The connections are in an awkward position for use with headphone/mic equipment.

Awesome product!

Sep 12, 2016

I love this thing. I have a digital mix sent to my iPad and all that but sometimes less is way more. Really, all I want to hear is my vocal and my guitar. One ear bud in for vocal, the other out to hear my amp...It really has made my singing experience so much better. I couldn't be happier with this unit. Only reason I'm giving four stars is it didn't come with a power supply. Fortunately, I happened to have an extra power supply with the same voltage rating. So buyer beware, you'll need a power supply for this unit...other then that it's awesome.

Best In Class

I own the Presonus, Behringer, and Rolls headphone amps. The Rolls is my favorite by far. Is use these to power IEM's in my band. The sound quality in all 3 are very similar, but theRolls doesn't distort nearly as quick as the other two. Plus you have instant vocal level adjustment versus having sound guy do it. The only thing I don't care for is no XLR monitor in. They use a stereo 1/4". Makes you have to use a 1/4" to XLR adapter, which can get lost easy. Other than that, it worth every penny!

Excellent choice for personal monitor!

Dec 27, 2010

We use these headphone amps / personal monitors for our keyboards and guitar instrumentalists at our House of Worship. They are a high quality inexpensive alternative to wireless IEM that work well for stationary performers. Being able to control their own volume independently of the separate monitor mix ensures they can always hear themselves as loud as they want. This also allows us to reduce the overall volume of the stage monitor speakers. Great product at a great price.

Great Buy

Aug 2, 2015

These are real handy if you're not set up to make multiple individual mixes. I bought a handful of these for the band and it's been just fine. ( most people usually just want more or less of themselves , thus , we have dubbed it the ' more me box ) good little design and all the volume you'll need. Helpful if you're tracking yourself too, especially acoustic instruments and vocals. Sometimes the AC jack can be loose ... have to keep an eye on that.

Great product!!

Sep 13, 2019

These things are perfect for giving an artist the exact headphone mix they need for recording. It will save you time on vocals day by allowing the vocalist to get the mix perfect allowing them to save their voice! Nothing will destroy a productive day like a singer having to scream to hear themselves. The unit comes with a power supply and is built like a tank. Super clean sound. Has all the options to make it an engineers favorite in the studio.

Incredible product. Worth every cent

Aug 24, 2012

I Purchased this product to provide in-ear monitors to the other musicians in my church's worship band. They are solidly built and sound incredible. They provide both 1/4 and 1/8 headphone inputs and can also be used to monitor your voice or anything mic'ed. Love everything about them. Ohh...I almost forgot..they are incredibly cheap for what they give.

awesome little monitor amp

I'm a keyboard player using the PM50s for my live stage monitor mix. I bring a stereo feed of my keyboards from my stage mixer into the monitor in. The other instruments in my monitor mix are fed into the balanced mic in from the house mixer aux channel. The balance between my keyboards and the vocals can be quickly adjusted via two separate knobs.

Necessity for my Canon 6D

Feb 20, 2014

I use Canon 6D to shoot video. 6D doesn't have headphone jack. Has only mic jack. So I bought ROLLS PM50s and connected between 6D & RODE mic pro (or mixer), works beautiful. Only one complaint is that AC cord slip out easy and power turns on & out. I guess you need to tape it to maintain power. Thats one reason I gave 4 stars. Otherwise, perfect.

Works great

Apr 13, 2016

This works very well. I use it for live theatre when I have to have a remote vocal booth. The only think irritating about Rolls is that their power supplies are center pin hot, which is reversed from normal power supplies, so you need to either use the power supply that they provide or reverse the pins.

Good way to go

Nov 25, 2013

Worked like a charm, plenty of volume on the more me side. One less thing the computer has to do when recording, good for when you're tracking yourself. The design seems rugged, haven't had it long but it is a good first impression. AC cord can slip out easy is my only complaint.

Personal amp

Feb 4, 2018

Works well, and functions as described. I use it as a small headphone amp when performing (drummer). It allows me to set a personal balance of my backup vocals against the output of the PA system with other singer vocals.

Perfect Solution

Jam 24/7 Sound uses the Rolls PM50s for live recordings giving the musician a mix of the other players from an aux send on the console and their own More Me mix at their fingertips. Basic and very affordable.

Great device for PM

Feb 18, 2015

It's good device for personal monitor. Obviously it's a lower level so you need to plug it in for power and it doesn't run on battery (PM55), but it's still very useful for performance.

Great headphone amp

Does the job and does it really well. I use it to practice my keyboard and pedal steel using the mic and monitor inputs. No noise, great sound, stops me from waking up my 9 month old.

Works Perfect

Feb 4, 2014

I use 3 to 5 of these every week for the last two years and they have never failed. I think they are built better than the pm 55, the 9v slot isn't worth the extra money.
