Affordable entry into Google Home devices range

Nov 16, 2017

The Google Home mini is an affordable entry into the Home devices range. A good all rounder, good design, good connectivity, and good ease of use. The only thing that lets it down is the sound quality. However the Mini wasn't meant as a main speaker, you would have to upgrade to the larger Google Mini speaker for that.

Fantastic, easy to use, love it

I bought this item for my fiancé and he loves it. The pods performance is very quick and responsive. It recognises various voices and responds to difficult commands with no problem. Definitely recommend.

More subtle than Alexa

Nov 9, 2017

Been playing with the Google's competitor for a year now with varying results, so something new at that price was an easy choice. Looks wise Ithink this trumps my old Echo and even the Dot Ibought for the inlaws. Sound wise it is adequate, look I am no audiophile, to me the speaker at hand that is usable is perfect, the Echo is a little deeper.. Ecosystem it is playing catch up. My issue is that there is no paid music app works across Apple/Google/Amazon, costly to own more than 1.

Echo dot for GOOGLE

Nov 9, 2017

I have an echo dot but in the media it states that the Google mini will answer more questions. I have found this the case. But when I try to teach it work address it seams to never remember. Also with my one smart light the echo was much easier to set up. Again I have connected it many times to Google But not as competent in my comparison. The Google home app will improve over time. Price for price I feel the Google will do more and better at questions day to day. Both have many update

Impressive Little Speaker

Nov 9, 2017

I am very impressed with this little gadget. It's not very imposing yet it manages to get to a really good sound and volume. It looks stylish, and is so easy to use. It is a shame that it must be plugged in all the time- this is not a portable device. I had some teething problems connecting it but after a message was sent from my phone to Google home support, I got a call straight back and was talked through what I needed to do. It is now linked to up a few members of the family and used daily.

Little Confused

Nov 8, 2017

I am one of those who likes to try new tech and for the price its worth a try.. design is nice and easy to setup. Google assistant's voice recognisation is better than expextation. Sound quality is average and does decent for low volume music playback. Youtube compatibility would have been much better. I think this product is still work in progress and will get better in future.Only if you want to try new tech and price is ok, than its worth it.. Enjoy "Hey Google”

Great buy

Nov 6, 2017

The google home mini was really easy to set up and has really good sound quality for the size. The system needs to learn a lot more to be really useful but for voice commands to play spotify playlists, it's really good.

Better then similar products but slower

Nov 1, 2017

Sounds quality for the price is excellent, understanding what you asking for is very good and answers are accurate. The only thing I don't like is the response time when you say OK/Hey Google is actually few seconds.

Great value and does more than you think

Nov 1, 2017

The sound is great for the size, it's great to use for Ambient music like a radio, but definitely no party (there's no bass). Does alot when you have devices such as chromecast audio, chromecast for your TV and other home control products. It hears you from across the room really well, and it mutes music automatically when it's in the same room. Ask it literally anything, its clever.
