New Heights
Although equipment is sometimes a personal preference, I did lots of research on this Gitzo Systematic tripod. The height is perfect for my height. Light weight, easy to extend the legs, and level. I know it is pricey but this item has proven itself in a very short time. 100% pleased.

Perfect for long telephoto lens
I bought the Gitzo Series 5 tripod because of the load capacity and stability. It is dedicated for use with a long and heavy telephoto lens in conjunction with my gimbal head. The stability of the tripod is just superb. There is no shake with shooting at a high frame rate.

Awesome Tripod Design
New design of Gitzo Triopds are really well engineered. This tripod is very well built and sturdy compared to my RRS 3 series. Now they have built in tooless feature to secure base plate along with safety latch to prevent base plate from falling out should it ever loosen.

Bigger is better
I use this tripod with the 405 geared head for shooting interiors. The most stable tripod I have owned that didn't weigh a ton! I have not tried to raise it as high as it can go but even for everyday uses it beats my Manfrotto carbon fiber sticks for stability.

Sharpness demands this tripod.
I focus stack the orchids I grow with Leica medium format that are made up of many images. The lenses require absolute stability. This tripod which has no center column is chosen for me, 6'6". The legs do not bend and the feet do not shift. This tripod is a rock!

Great tripod
My old aluminum tripod was net very steady with my 500mm F4.5 lens and camera. Te Gitzo is the same size extended. It's a lot more stable and the diameter of the legs are much bigger. I haven't had a lot of time to do a full test but so far and happy with it.

Very nice (& LIGHT) tripod.
After many years of using Tele-Studex tripods (still do), I took the plunge and got a carbon fiber model. Wow!! That's all I can say - so light and very stable. Very glad that I did. Received it the next day. Always very happy with B&H

Tripod failed. Gitzo no help
Tripod failed. Bushings are bad. Does not work well during weather elements. Gitzo also did not help me when I contacted them about the issue and ignored me when I told them my 600mm $10,000 smacked the concrete because of their flaw.

Light and Sturdy
I am very pleased with this product I am 6ft 2 in and needed the long option. Perfect height, i can stand up straight while shooting. Very sturdy and fairly lightweight. Looking forward to a very long relationship with this tripod.

Just unreliable
Got it from b&h. Decided to assemble it. Some plastic part dropped from the leg tube, I never sacceded in putting it back, so the leg is impossible to stabilize . Just frustrated, it was my last money as I'm on disability.

Excellent damping and stiffness
If you need a tripod that is still portable, but can handle the biggest lens/camera combinations this is an excellent choice. Opens all sorts of opportunitys. This is my first Gitzo product and it will not be my last.

Good things come in small packages!
Im 55 and this tripod is PERFECT! I wanted a systematic tripod (I find them to be more stable). This thing is knee high to a grasshopper when collapsed. It actually fits inside my Tenba Solstice 24L Backpack. Amazing!

GT3533LS an excellent tripod
The GT3533LS is a sturdy, stable, relatively light weight tripod. The build quality is excellent. A good match for a D850 & either Nikon AF-S 80-400 mm zoom or 500mm PF (if you can find one). Highly recommended.

Gitzo GT3533LS Review
Well I've owned a few aluminum tripods but they were a bit flimsy and didn't hold up in the wind. This tripod gave me no insecurity and was lite for it's size. I doubt if I'll ever need a different model again

Highest Quality
You can tell this tripod is of the highest quality the moment you remove it from the box. The leg positioning system (at both the apex- and leg-level) is effortless. Once setup, the tripod does not move.

Great quality
This tripod is huge. If youre an average photographer its overkill. I do architecture and need to get up high and have a sturdy beast. Its surprisingly light for its size and how high it will go!

Fantastic Tripod
Bought this to upgrade from my previous Manfrotto setup and very happy with the height and flexibility of the Gitzo. Incredibly stable platform and paired perfectly with the RRS BH-55 Ball Head.

Solid tripod
Using with a RRS BH-55 and a Wimberly Sidekick for my Nikon D500 and various lenses. Tripod is rock solid when using the gimbal and my 200-500, or on the beach doing long exposures.

Splendid
This is the tripod I have been looking for, great design and the extra leg extension makes it an all around tripod. Studio or outdoors this is a great addition to my camera gear.

This tripod is everything I hoped for. Its light weight, durable, and stable. Its legs are easy to adjust and the leveling bubble works well. The seemingly high cost is worth it.

A precision instrument
Sturdy, light for size. Glad I finally spent the money and got a good tripod. Buy the best tripod you can possibly afford so you wont have to wind up and buy the good one.

Solid
Does everything I ask of it. Tripods last a long time and it is important to buy the right one and not skimp. This replaces a tripod I have used for nearly 50 years!

Excellent Tripod
I haven't had a chance to actually use it, but I'm impressed with its design and construction. It's extremely stable. The controls are easy to use and very smooth.

Not worth the money
Arrived missing friction washer on one leg. Legs tend to slip even when firmly tightened. Tripod feet will not stay on; already lost one. What a piece of junk!
