The WORST customer support EVER because they LIE. Read others reviews too and believe them about the difficulties that show up again and again. Bottomline is this company is not ready to supply the home studio market with desktop units. Their software is riddled with bugs (especially their proprietary AFX2DAW) and their employees are forced to pretend it isn't. Here's my story: Don't get sucked in by their 21 hours per day Mon - Fri hours; they do that because they HAVE TO. If they aren't available for regular support, you'd never stay with the company past the first 30 days. I assumed the glitches I encountered in the first few weeks were just temporary. And I got sucked in by their plugins which sound great WHEN THEY WORK. When you call in they will 'solve' whatever glitch you're having by doing a 'team viewer' which means they access your computer and start making changes to the software which generally is a process of loading and reloading drivers, plugins, control panels etc etc. I've had plugins not accessible at all in the DAW, I've had plugins 'forget' their settings… the list is long enough that I have been forced to make more than 35 calls to tech support in 18months of ownership. Now who's fault could that be? I doubt they'd take the time to talk to me if I was making up problems or messing up on my end. I've even tried buying the next model up because the tech guy told me it works better (ie the problems I have aren't unusual) and then when I got it (ZenQ Thunderbolt - DON'T buy it), the thing won't speak to my DAW at all… and guess what tech support can't solve it. Thank goodness this time I know enough to return it in the retail window. (Don't buy direct from their site cause it is 14 days and way worse to deal with than an American retail store). The tech support guys are really nice. I feel badly for them being stuck in the middle. However, they are still on the side of their employers and the straw that ended it for me happened last week when I called in because I couldn't bounce my projects I'd spent weeks finishing up (a double album). There were digital pops in the bounced file. I had tried everything myself and their tech support tried it all again while I wasted more hours of my life watching (buffer size, realtime / offline mode, different cables etc). I had two different calls and the second one I was shocked that even though it was their best tech guy (Simon), by the time he was done, my unit was stuck in playback mode and the only option left to me was to ship it in for repair. How did I go from a working unit, to a bricked unit that needed hardware diagnosis in person, within one software technician call? How did he know it was a hardware issue unless he's seen all of it before and tried everything he could before trying the last things that broke the unit? But worst of all, why didn't they tell me it would COST ME MONEY to have them look at it? Good thing I checked before I sent this useful unit in for 'repair'. They will charge me for diagnostic whether they could magically make it works again or not. In good conscience I have to share this info with others. And about the plugins not storing, I found a kind of work around that worked most of the time by always saving and quitting the project and daw before quitting the control panel, launcher or unplugging the interface. So if you are where I was, miserable and still trying to make it work since you'd put your money in, I hope that helps you when you're pulling your hair out because each time you open your project the Antelope plugins and or settings aren't recalled. If by some miracle they choose to make good on my situation by providing a unit that actually works, I'll be sure to update the review. ... More

Upgraded from a Motu M2 to this. The AD/DA has been a great upgrade to me. I can clearly hear the difference between the lows/mids and the sound stage. The preamps are full and clean. I was also looking at the BLA revolution 2x2 but I'm glad I went with this instead. With the FX available you cannot go wrong. The latency has been good tracking out of the DAW to FX. The only drawback I have at the moment seems to be some bugs in the software which I hope are ironed out in time. Also, AFX2DAW for the Zen GO on Windows/USB not available yet. Hopefully, they make it available. ... More

I have used an 11rack for the past 12 years but decided to part with it given the lack of support for newer operating systems. I really like the idea of internal DSP for tracking, making latency a non issue. The Zen go delivers on that and the Afx are pretty good, although the amp sims are not up to par compared to for instance amplitube 5 which I end up using in post production most of the time. It's nice to be able to track with no latency using the internal DSP but I wish they would allow for the use of IR's in the cab section. What I really like is the integration with the edge mic system. It's a breeze to record acoustic gtrs with the mic sims and they sound great. The software can be finicky as it often fails to find the unit and that's a big no no for reliability in a pro environment. They need to fix that! There is also a total lack of infos and good videos online to explain the routing inside the GUI. The basics are easy but It's not very intuitive for more involved needs. For instance, I can't figure out how to record the sound of an app (Ireal Pro) on my mac into logic while recording a track. I'm pretty sure you can do it with this unit but everything I tried failed. Overall it's a great unit but support and reliability in a pro environment is lacking. ... More

The Zen go boasted some brilliant concepts that really appealed to me: DSP on the interface , zero latency effects monitoring, classic hardware emulation, etc… But what struck me when I first started using it was the improved sound quality, and how well the whole system is structured. The setup can be quite confusing, but when you get it up and running it feels well thought out, at the heart of it all is the mixer with some powerful routing capabilities. The software alone is worth the admission price, I like the way they haven’t simplified their controls— to me this would have had the reverse effect in the long run, your basically using the emulations how they were original used. Having the ability to bring the on board DSP effects in to my DAW is priceless, had I owned one of these before I think I would not have bought so many cpu hungry vst plug-ins. Antelope have made a device that is flexible, solid, mobile and pro-sumer, these are all the qualities I look for when I buy my gear, I think it is the most of all those given adjectives on my audio gear side. To say that I am now an Antelope fan is understatement, I have now purchased a modeling microphone from them as well. ... More

Initiating the Zen Go was painless. I'm running Dynaudio monitors and you can hear the mix the Zen Go is the x-Factor audio interface making the sound golden. Plug the Zen Go into your computer using the supplied USB-C cable, then activate it in your Antelope account to reveal the Launcher software download. Instantly, the Antelope Launcher recognizes the Zen Go and places it on the software's home screen. I chose to update Zen Go's firmware from the Launcher which mercifully occurred without a hitch. Then it was simply a matter of opening the Control Panel software to control the zero latency mixers and DSP, and the Zen Go was ready for action. To Antelope's credit, the company has done an excellent job rectifying the software setup issues which bedeviled earlier interfaces to deliver what's now a smooth and effortless experience. ... More

I enjoyed using this interface for about two days until it stopped functioning properly. I think the unit that was sold to me is a dud. The hp/mon button stopped cycling through the volume adjustments and is now cycling through the mic preamp gain adjustments. The gain button is specifically designed to cycle through the mic preamp options. When you press and hold the gain buttoning is supposed to enter the control menu and that's not working anymore. Same thing with the hp/mon button, which is supposed to enter the system menu by pressing and holding it, also not working. I've followed everything by the book in order to setup and run the interface properly but for some reason it's not functioning properly. I think it's most likely a hardware issue. The DAC produces a full massive sound so it took me by surprise when started monitoring audio, I suggest you turn on the Dim feature while start to dial in your monitors output. What I really am impressed with is the Synergy Core software. The bundled effects are great and I couldnt "feel" any latency while running a guitar through it.
