Great for Go Pros

Apr 11, 2014

Works great with a Go pro, on the ground for people, dogs, bears or other animals running by. Attaches to branches steel poles or other similar objects. I am surprised that this is not next to Go pros in stores. If I was only going to buy one accessory for a Go pro it would be the Ultra-pod Need to buy the inexpensive Go-pro tripod mount. I have had an ultra-pod for over 30 years. I used to use it for backpacking with a 35mm camera which worked o... Show More

Good little Plastic tripod for the money

Nov 2, 2015

It's more or less what I expected. On the plus side it's sturdier than one can expect from a plastic tripod and does the job for a light pocket camera. I keep it in my car at all times. That said, the plastic ends on the legs fall off easily, so I just removed them. The velcro strap, which I consider a useful addition stands on the way of folding the legs, plus is secured by a piece of plastic on the inside, which again falls out easily, so I keep it separately. There is aluminum version of the same one for those who don't like plastic.

Compact.

I actually got this to mount a Tascam DR-60 so I could angle it up toward me while sitting on a tabletop. I wanted something low profile and stable. It's a little undersized for that, but for anything smaller (handheld audio recorder or small camera) it would be fine. It folds up very small, and I like the generous length of the velcro strap.

Compact and multi use

Dec 11, 2017

I have not used this yet. I wanted a small portable tripod for group timed shots. This tripod will do what I need plus more. The attached Velcro strap will make this useful on hike, by strapping it to tree branches. I will try it on my motorcycle handle bars. I hope my camera's stability is up for it.

Small and Durable

Jul 14, 2015

I purchased this for long-distance hiking. I already had the UltraPod II, but wanted something lighter and smaller. The UltraPod I fit the bill. Very happy with use on a Coolpix A. Takes up almost no room in the backpack.

Light and pocketable

For a pocket camera this pocket tripod is a great match. The velcro strap gives a lot of flexibility in location of the tripod.
