The search for the perfect headphones is over!

Jun 10, 2015

First of all, the build quality is excellent! You can clearly see that durability and serviceability were the main priorities when designing these headphones. I'm so happy to see that in today's world of disposable consumer goods someone still makes a product where nearly every component is replaceable. I wish more manufacturers did that... Once I put the headphones on, I immediately noticed how soft the earpads were and how well they isolated ... Show More

Warm fuzzies

Jul 20, 2016

In a nutshell: Great sound; ear cushions not as good as 250 version but still great value. I've had the 250 ohm version of these for a while and use them for hours every day for computer, gaming, radio, and other miscellaneous household entertainment. They're light, very snug and comfortable, and completely surround the ear without touching. Sound insulation is excellent, granting a real sense of peace and serenity in an increasingly incompr... Excellent

Aug 3, 2016

I have tested the 32, 80 and 250 Ohm versions of these headphones and decided on the 32 Ohm version because I am using them with amplified and non-amplified sources. With an amplifier, the sound quality of the three models is excellent and similar. However, both the 80 and 250 Ohm versions sound quiet and muddy (as expected) with low-impedance sources such as smartphones and tablets. But the 32 Ohm version delivers an excellent sound with low-imp... Show More

Very comfortable, amazing sound, decent isolation, good price.

Jun 2, 2018

Purchased as i needed a spare pair of headphones for home, to complement my Audio Technica ATH-M40x. I absolutely love the ATH-M40x, but these are a step above in all respects although i still think the ATH-M40x represents better value. The Beyer are very comfortable, very soft headband & the pleather earpads are very soft without being too hot and sweaty. Ear cup is a little bigger than the Audio Technica making these a little bit more comfort... Show More

Probably the best pari of headphones I've owned so far

May 12, 2019

I'm using my headphones daily for casual listening at work; for live mixing on weekly basis, and occasionally for sound editing. For the last 10 years or so I've moved from ATH-M30 to ATH-M50 to DT-770 (32 Ohm). I've found the DT770 to be extremely comfortable and to produce amazing sound. Comparing with my M50 the sound is not so painfully bright in the upper mids and the bass feels much cleaner. Even though I've read reviews about DT770 ha... Show More

Bass-light and harsh compared to 80 and 250-ohm versions

Nov 20, 2017

I wish Beyerdynamic would tell us more about the sonic differences between the different versions of this model. I honestly don't think they should all have the same model number. This 32-ohm version is very light on bass, compared to the plentiful but not overpowering bass of the 80-ohm version. The mids are also more forward, making it sound more harsh. This may make it more revealing for recording and mixing purposes (not sure if it has an a... Show More

Great Headphones

Sep 7, 2016

These headphones offer great value for money with a very accurate sound. Brilliant for referencing especially the low ends. The high end doesn't quiet match that of a more expensive headphone but this is only referring to the very high end (16/17 kHz+) and is not a problem for referencing, and is certainly not a problem for listening. They are a very comfortable fit, a solid build and you have piece of mind knowing all parts are replaceabl... Show More

Very good closed back headphones, but the cable is too short

Nov 14, 2018

I bought these headphones for vocal recording. The sound quality is very good, you can hear the whole spectrum clearly, particularly the bass. The price is also very reasonable. The ear pads are very comfortable and don't squish your head or ears like most headphones do, so you can wear it for long periods of time. However, it can get very warm underneath the ear pads, so make sure the room is not too hot. The most obvious downside of t... Show More

Great Headphones !

Feb 7, 2019

Just coming from a Sony MDR 7506, that I sold because I felt some discomfort in my ears (a little bit too aggressive in my opinion) I am really glad I bought the DT-770. The sound quality is GREAT, crystal clear! I have also tried the Audio-Technica ATH-M50x, with a sound less clear and quite painful to wear for a long period. While the comfort of the DT 770 is really really good, the headphone is rock solid. A con ? It is a little bit hard to carry as it is a pretty big headphone, no big deal.

Excellent Sound

Jun 5, 2018

Got these for production and jamming, at first I noticed the volume was kind of low, so you will need to pre-amp them for them to fully shine. Currently using them on my mixer for vinyl business, and the response & warmth coming out is just amazing. On the ears they feel heavy and will make you feel you're in a submarine if used for an extended period of time. Would love a more comfortable design, but other than that, quite a standard for your setup

If you are ready to hear some of your favorite songs in a completely different way, then you should try these headphones. They will bring the sound in a warm and clear way, and you will feel the music in its true sense. The retro design for me is fine, build quality is great and they are really comfortable. The only thing I mind about these headphones is that you can't put the headphones around your neck since they are large. I highly recommend them :)

Quality for a fair price

May 3, 2018

Very good sound quality for the price. It's solidly built, it's the kind of headphone that you can keep for years without problem. You can also replace easily the jack which is also important for its lifetime. The confort is also great, at least for me. Its only weakness is maybe that it's not a nomad headphone at all but All in One exists only for dishwasher products...

Beyerdynamic DT-770 Pro 32 Ohm. A nice balanced sound. Comfortable to wear.

Mar 25, 2014

Sound on Sound magazine Voted these 'best the mid-price headphones for mixing'. A great set of headphones with a well balanced sound for track laying before going over to your monitors for your final mix. Your ear is completely encompassed by the ear pad, giving pretty decent isolation. They're also comfortable to wear for extended amounts of time.

The best in my opinion headphones

Jul 19, 2018

Heard before a lot of headphones, different brands. But it was comparing with others that he realized that these are the best for their price. I liked that they have low and medium and high frequencies, all in moderation and truthfully. I myself take the second headphones, one for work, one for home.

Best headphones I've ever owned

Mar 5, 2019

They sound great, I cage them four stars for comfort, it you buy as I did the velour ear pads that becomes a 5. My only recommendation is to replace the lead with a coiled lead to stop them being a trip hazard (and makes them less likely to get damaged). Very Happy!
