Good value for a desktop backup
Bought this after my last WD external fileld up for backup. For $/GB, this drive is an great value.. It however is not very mobile: slightly big and clunky with a charger that needs to be dragged around. Pretty good if it just sit on a desk like I use it.

Good basic backup.
Nothing fancy here but does the job. I just use it to copy my photos, videos and music too.

Great deal, has to be plugged in
Huge HD, great price. The shipping was fast and B&H was super easy to work with. The only big downside for me was that I didn't know that the HD has to be plugged in to work. This is my fault for not reading carefully enough but be aware, this is not very portable.

Solid Backup Drive
I got this drive for my parents as a replacement for a 1.5TB Seagate from 2010. It will mostly be used as a backup drive.This drive has admirably fast performance, especially for its low power draw. I copied large amounts of data and ran some burn-in tests too. Works for Mac after reformat
I bought because of the price, but was a little concerned since I planned to use for a Mac. The reformatting and prep for Time Machine worked well, and it is backing up quickly and with no problems.

Great Product
I just backed up two computers onto this hard drive. It was easy and went without a glitch. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because it requires its own power source. Overall it was a great buy!

Great bang
I use as a back up drive. It's fast. The only reason I gave it four stars is that I wished it had a metal shell. I would recommend it to a friend. BTW. Placed the other late in the day, last week before Christmas, and I still got it next day. BH's shipping department was great in handling all my Christmas orders and expediting them. Kudos to them.

Great drive so far
I use the drive primarily for streaming media. I purchased this drive to replace the same size Seagate drive that only lasted 6 months before a lot of my media started to get corrupt from bad sectors.

Great value!
This was a great value for all the space. It is not slow by any means, however I have used faster one in the past. I back up everything on here and it does the trick.Size is OK, still portable, but it's obviously not a travel model as it needs the power plug. Keeping mine on my desk, this is no issue for me but if I do need to take it with me somewhere, it is still compact enough to pack.

Great Drive for Back Ups

Solid drive with tremendous capacity
Western Digital makes reliable drives. This one performs just as expected -- easy to get up and running. Data transfer speeds are quite good, and it has space to spare. I certainly don't see filling it, and I back up videos that I produce professionally. Only time will tell if it is durable, but I expect it to be based on experience with WD's past reliability.

Works well after Adjustment
For Best compatibility with computers running windows vista or later you must use the WD Quick Formatter to reformat the drive from XP Compatible mode to Factory Default.

Flawless HD

Cheap storage
I use this for photo & file backup. It works fine and setup is easy. The only issue I have with it is that I can't disconnect it safely using Windows 7. I didn't have this problem with my prior WD Elements 2TB backup drive.

A little bit slow even with USB3
It is used to back up my images on hard drive. Impressive 3 TB capacity. However, it is kind of slow even with USB 3 connection. Or maybe my folder is just too big.

Small and Sleek
I use this product to back up a large amount of files. What is great about this product is that it is small and doesn't take up much space on my desk. I would purchase this product again, I believe the price is reasonable.

It works fine
I use this as a Mac Time Machine Drive. It easily reformatted for Mac and works well with time machine. My only quarrel is that it has a power switch on the pack, and an indicator light on the front, and that light is on whether or not I toggle the power button.
