I've had the Bose Soundlink 1 for years (since it first came out) until I dropped it in a pool and had to look for a replacement. The Bose Soundlink 1 is an incredibly well performing bluetooth speaker with a nice punch and bass. Its only downside is that it's directional, meaning, the side in which you face the speaker is louder than the back side. However, this can be improved if placed in front of a corner wall where the sound projects much better. I had anticipated the Bose Revolve to be a greater successor of the soundlink 1. It may not be its successor - I don't know, but I just expected it to be better. However, the results were slightly dissappointing. The 360 degree sound is incredibly crisp, but the bass quality is not as good as the original soundlink 1. Mind you, the overall sound quality in my opinion is better - it's just the bass that's not up to par in comparison to the Soundlink 1. Both units are incredibly well built and totally worth the investment. I enjoy using the Revolve for just about everyday use, but always miss the slight lack of bass that the Soundlink 1 had. For it's size, the sound coming out of the Bose Revolve is amazing. Not overly base heavy, but it can handle some base and it does come off very clear w/ no distortion. Only when playing at max volume can you detect a hint of distortion in some base heavy music. If your music isn't completely bases heavy this sound is exceptional and very clear/distinct. The 360 sound dispersion is awesome, and makes this the ultimate party speaker (aside from the Revolve Plus) in my opinion. You can wirelessly turn on the speaker from your phone app, which is pretty nifty. Excellent Sound - Not Harsh or Tinny

I listened to several bluetooth speakers side-by-side and there was no comparison in my opinion to the other brands of similar size. The Bose just has the most balanced sound that is very pleasing and not harsh. The bass is solid and treble is gentle and crisp. I have mine connected to the Echo Dot and it sounds great. Yes, the Bose is expensive but worth it if you are picky about sound quality and intend to spend any amount of time listening to it. Volume is decent, battery life good, and the sound output is 360 degrees.

I bought this for my husband Christmas gift..He's always been a BOSE fan..We have all different kind of speakers and was skeptic at this new one at first till i get to watch and read reviews.although I never doubt about the sound quality of BOSE..Definitely made my man so happy and we tried it and the sound is so crisp,Volume wise is perfect ..especially if near walls it does make big difference.Bass was ok..But all in all this is so much better than soundlink mini
Bluetooth range disappointing

The speakers sound good, but the bluetooth will not recognize anything over about 8' away. If there is a wall or doorway between, it's less than that. I have a lot of music on my computer I would like to play, but the speakers have to be right next to it. I had to transfer my music to my phone to be mobile. I have an older android phone, so the Bose app is not compatible. I'm a bit disappointed with my purchase.

Great Sound for Medium Room

The sound fills a medium room, such as a bedroom where it gets the most usage, but tends to loose the mid tones in the larger, open living room (it is the smaller of the two Bose Revolve offerings so I was not entirely surprised). I easily paired with an iPod and iPad and was listening to music within a half an hour of the delivery. All in all, a great portable speaker.

I was looking for a very simple to use BlueTooth speaker to provide good, ambient music in our living room. I was delighted with the sound quality of this speaker. The bass was especially good. The battery life appears to be quite good as well. I recommend this device for people who are looking for a high quality, simple speaker.

The shape lends itself to output sound in all directions - a true surround sound. It does not have to be outside - can be in the under-cabinet of a coffee table, say, in the living room and play to bring music to the whole party/room. Audio is crisp, clear and we can go from a low volume, romantic evening to a party style loud music. We love it.

It is amazing! My family and I love to use it to listen to music and audiobooks! I really enjoy the stereo effect of the speaker, it makes me feel like I'm in a concert in person! The results are so fascinating, I've never heard anything better, I've bought a lot of similar products, but none can achieve the crisp sound your product can! Also, I really like the size and color of the speaker.

Purchased this a few months after buying a black version of this speaker. The speaker by itself sounds amazing, but when paired together makes for a very immersive experience since you can place these anywhere in your house. The bluetooth range on them on them is pretty good. No issues connecting to my iPhone and still stays connected even when I walk into the next room with my phone.

Really impressed with the sound this speaker delivers. It follows me everywhere - such a great alternative to having wire up the whole house with speakers. Looking forward to using it in the summer on the patio as well. Will probably need more - the whole family is competing to use it, and my initial plan to take it with me to work has been vetoed. Thumbs up from everyone.

The revolving sound feature is pretty redundant, in my opinion it is cool but this feature compromised the sound quality which Bose is capable of delivering. Dont get it unless you really need to throw a big party, or else just get the mini soundlink which i think sounds better.

We are not audiophiles, so consider the source. However, we think these speakers have excellent sound quality, and we quite like the ability to use them in "Party" or "Stereo" mode. We believe they are everything they are advertised to be.

I was about to buy the bigger version of this speaker but after reading the reviews in here I decide to buy this one! The sound is not so good and loud as explained.Actially cannot go very loud . It would be just OK if it stays in a small room but not in other area.

Most of the stuff I listen to uses non-electronic instruments. The bass in this unit is a bit heavy for my taste. Other than that its sturdy and simple to use. The English language voice is a bit wonky, so I switched it to Deutsch.

It's a Bose! PROS: Sounds great, long lasting battery, nice small design. CONS: Should be $20 less to be competitive, sound quality distorts at higher volume. Buy and enjoy! But if you want to rock out at high volume then pass on this one and look at the BOOM.
