First of, the ambilight is fab, picture quality obviously depends on what you’re watching. If it’s full hd or uhd then again it’s fab. If it’s sd, particularly old stuff that hasn’t been digitally enhanced then not so good but that’s true of all TVs. There are lots of settings for you to play with to get it the way you want it. Sound is good with the built in sound bar. My last tv was a Philips plasma so I had no hesitation in buying the brand again. All in all a great tv for the price.

Great picture, but does have flaws
After having a number of Ambilights over the years we have upgraded to this model, and its certainly one of the better of recent models. We started with a Philips OLED, beautiful picture but problems with the ambilight and lack of support meant we had to return it (no software update in over 12months!) And swapped for a 65" - big mistake, the 6753 is fraught with issues and again lack of support. We then ended up with this model in the 55" and i have to say, so far it is excellent, so far!

Light s up room like clubhouse
Picture is fine if you have very good Arial sound quality is clear no issues . the ambient lighting is fantastic for playing PS4 games or watching music video.spectrum is best setting for lights. TV is not heavy center stand is stable .I had to return my TV as was faulty unfortunately out of stock so forced to buy different TV which does provide better picture on indoor 4k Arial .but if use satalite TV Sure Philips TV is same picture quality.if you like PS4 or Xbox gameplay then this is best TV

Good picture, shame about the user interface
Poor user interface, erratic Smart TV. Apps don't work well. If BBC iPlayer doesn't work first time switch off, then back on. If not, try again. TV guide on satellite doesn't update, so virtually useless. Use "Favourites" on both terrestrial and satellite station lists to hide loads of unwanted stations. Ambilight is very good. User interface and unreliable apps need a lot of work. Would I buy one again? Don't know. Good picture, but using the TV can be extremely aggravating.

Great TV for the money.
We have 2 2017 Samsung curved TVs in the house already that cost 4 times the price of this Philips and for the money this tv is amazing. The picture quality and ambilight are really good quality once you have used the setting to adjust the picture. 4K HDR content is exceptional quality. The only let down are the TVs operating system, the sound quality and the remote control which all operate, sound or appear cheap but you get what you pay for and at a clearance price.

it is a big TV
Well i did not really need a new TV my 40 inch telly was great But i saw it and i wanted it. The Philips is over complicated with loads of settings for everything and is difficult to get everything just right. On SD the picture isnt great but on HD it improves but not as much as i expected i think the 4K thing is over-rated even the HDMI slots have there own individual settings again too complicated. You need a soundbar. Im reasonably happy with the TV

Great tv with outstanding ambilight
Love this tv because it has ambilighting that reflects video that's playing. Really cool feature, that only Phillips has to offer. Gives you more immersive feeling when watching video or gaming. You can even set ambilight to follow the music beat. Tv has all basic smart funcions, wifi, miracast, dlna, you can watch YouTube, and netflix too. It has 3hdmi and 2 usb connectors, works with wireless mouse. Overall I'm satisfied with my purchase.

Great TV but...
The TV overall is great and ambilight looks awesome (especially in 4K game mode) but in my case the power cable that was in the box didn't fit (3 pin instead of 2). Luckily I had a spare one (shorter than original but it works for now) but if you don't have any spare power cables make sure to check it since Argos won't be able to swap it for you - you will have to bring back whole TV with you and that's not very convenient.

Great all rounder
Tv works well,picture quality is as expected,it upscales video form usb stick,not sure if it upscales direct from dvd player etc but its decent! Only issues i have is that when casting to it form my pc it won't play the video files unless you convert them first but will let you play these files if you navigate from the tv onto your pc ,sound is decent with the rear sub speaker..good all round tv

Love this Television!
Easy to set up and the Ambient light really makes a difference... very easy on the eyes and you really notice when you look at the quality of other televisions. But you are able to turn the lights off easily if you would rather not have them on. Only downside with this is the sound quality... bearing in mind it has a sound bar.. the sound is very low.. even at full level...

Beautiful colours & picture quality, easy set up
The TV is easy to set up out of the box. Everything is easiy accessible and not particularly heavy for the size. I managed to get it set up on my own. Picture quality is astounding, and every app loads very fast. From the TV being off to Netflix fully loaded is less than 7 seconds. I can't speak for the sound quality as I use a sound bar.

Best flat screen tv ever had
Be prepared to have immense picture quality and you will need to spend more money if you want to see it all the time. Some programs are full hd from your satellite or codi sticks but if you want to watch 4K movies you need to buy 4K player 4K blue ray and 4K HDMI lead. But after you will see every small detail. Amazing TV for the money

New TV was needed
My old TV suddenly died. This meant I had to buy a new TV. This TV caught our eye because of the amblight. After receiving the TV via fast track. It lived up to expectations. Easy to use and customise. Good looking and sensible stand. The ambilight is awesome brightens up any wall/corner.

Love the 4k HDR
Great TV for the price. Not as many connections as I would have liked, but seems like all new TVs only have 3 HDMI connections and no SCART these days! On board menus and apps seem a bit slow, but it great with HDR and 4K using an Apple TV with Prime, iTunes and Netflix all in 4K.

Great picture and WiFi connectivity very strong.
Ambilight is a great feature but colours are limited. WiFi has a strong connection..not like my Samsung constantly cutting off. 4k picture great. Cons for the price would expect the R5 engine and smart tv menu is slow, sound could be better but sound bar sorted that right out

Great television
Brilliant TV with great features. Took all of 10 mins to install and connect onto the wifi. The lighting syncs perfectly with our Hue Bloom lights and make any movie better. Sound quality is what youd expect but through a sound bar no problems at all

The tely is absolutely fabolous
The tely has very sharp picture, the 3 ambilights work perfectly, great for the eyes, slightly faster than the previous Philips tely, sound is great too. This however has only 2 usbs and 3 hdmis as my previous Philips tely had 3 usbs and 4 hdmis.

Great design
I purchased this tv in the sale and it exceeded expectations. Great quality and really clear. The added bonus of the colours behind really give it that wow factor. Everyone that has seen it has been suprised at the price tag!

Came with a kettle lead and not a power cable.
Not good when you come to turn it on and they send you the wrong lead. Also not great for sport. Players have ghost trails behind them. And snooker balls don't look good either.

Tv looks fabulous in my living room.
Love the TV. Looks amazing in our newly decorated living room, the lights really assist the eyes when watching tv. Highly recommended considering the amazing price.

DSE Bad grey uniformaty
Bought this TV and returned it twice as it had grey vertical lines across the screen. Especially when watching sports. Both replacements had same issue.
