Nice Wide Lens
I am not the most experienced shooter, but have been around film and video cameras for over 10 years. We used this lens on the panasonic AF AG 100 and it works nicely. We shot a promo for our new company and managed to make good use of the wide angle lens in some long, deep hallway shots. A great lens for the AF 100, but you will definitely want a 50 mm and while you are at it a nice zoom as well. 3 stars from me! Not great in low light, but we managed to use the overhead fluorescents for the wide shots and then did a pretty easy color correct in post.

oly 9-18 or P7-14? on the fence?
I must say the choice between the Pana 7-14 and oly 9-18 was a very difficult choice. But i ended up taking the 7mm over the 9mm. But i have no regrets. The rectilinear distortion on the 7mm is amazing. The effects on this lens is very unique. This lens is a must have for landscape photography.

Super fun but not at the expense of IQ
Not yet shot more than about a 100 images but I can already tell why people rave about this lens. The 14mm end is useful enough to cover shots on the fly, should the need arise while the lens is on the camera and being used more for it's fun and practical wider end. The 7mm end can be used for interesting perspectives if there are tall elements in the foreground. On the other hand where there is less in the foreground to emphasize the wide effect... Show More

Love this lens
I received this lens about three weeks ago. I'm primarily using it for seascape photos, which were severely lacking in width with my other lenses. Although I only tested it on a couple of interior shots, I do intend on using it inside as well. I really like the build quality of this lens and the zoom, of course. I have the 14mm, 20mm and 25mm MFT primaries, and wanted something for below 14mm. This fits the bill perfectly and I find myself using ... Show More

Distortion dead Square from 8-13mm!
This lens is everything I expected and more. It's great for candid people shots. It lives permanently on my G3 and will do so until I can get a Voigtlander 25 0.95 when they will swap 50/50. The lack of image stabilization in either lens or camera is a non issue. My 2 E620s have IS and this beats them for comparable shots (11-22). Most of the time in good light you are shooting at faster than 1/1000th sec. When you need dof for landscapes its f18 and tripod time and still heaps of fun. Have just ordered a wireless remote for this combo.

Very nice Ultra Wide Lens
Just shot with it last weekend on my Panasonic AG-AF100, pretty fast and very sharp image. Nice and wide (even caught part of the Matte Box)

Compact, lightweight lens
I need a small kit for biking around in the backcountry that is more than point/shoot. I have this on my GF2 and couldn't be happier. Handles outdoor conditions well as long as the light is good. If I could only mount a filter on it...

Lumix G Vario 7-14mm f/4.0 lens
An compact optically superior well designed wide angle zoom lens very useful for both still and video photography. The the f stop remains the same throughout the zoom range. The auto focus is instantaneous. I have not had it long enough to judge its durabilty but I can say this one of the best lenses I have ever owned.

SuperWide with quality!
Wedding: The bride with a dynamic church interior. As in Ziser type shots. This lens is way less expensive than the 14-24 Nikon. Wedding shots of this type aren't going to be 40x50 prints to be hung in a gallery. A superb 16x20 can be had, if needed. But in all likely hood, it will be about a 5x7 in a wedding album. Did I mention it is connected to a really flexible camera the Panasonic Lumix G3. A Superb combo!!! And yes, I do own and shoot with several tons of Nikon gear also.

Good fun, compact ultra wide lens
I'm addicted to this lens. With a GF-1 it becomes a very nice combination for street/landscape photography and the total weight is significantly lower than a D7000 body, which is a huge pro if you're going to carry the camera while hiking! The biggest cons are the poor low light capabilities and the interference with the GF-1 integrated flash, especially at 7mm. If this lens were faster it would very rarely come off my camera.

Great little lens
I bought this lens specifically for taking interior architectural pictures for a major renovation project. I needed to be able to take as much as I could in the pictures when we visited the building. This lens did the job as expected. The f/4.0 max aperture wasn't a problem under artificial lighting. It is a small and light lens that fits my GH-1 like a glove! Now I just want to try this lens outside as I'm sure it will make spectacular nature sh... Show More

Love this lens/wish it were a bit faster
I love this lens. It produces very crisp, clean photos edge to edge; and I love the aspherical, very wide-angle pictures it can produce. This lens produces results very similar to my Sigma 10-20 mm on a Nikon D90 platform. This lens technically is slightly wider than the Sigma, but you probably won't notice the difference. It is a great lens and I'm having a lot of fun with it.

Great results
It's compact, it's fast and a pleasure to work with. Too bad it does not accept filters and value for money is not taken into account in rating result.

Lumix G Vario 7-14mm f/4.0 ASPH
You might do a double-take when you first see the price, but after using it you'll think it's a bargain. Yes, it's that good. This is the kind of lens that makes the m4/3 system shine. It is compact and lightweight, offers impressive image quality, a superbly wide range, and ultrafast autofocus. Super sharp images, no detectable drop off on the edges, no flare or distortion issues. Of all the Panny m4/3 lenses, this one feels the most solid and well-constructed.

Awesome lens!
I use this on my AF-100 and it rocks. Great, wide span without a crazy fisheye effect. Looks great outdoors.

I love this thing
This thing is gorgeous, tiny (for a super wide), sharp, and focuses quickly and silently. I traded in my Pentax 10-17 fisheye for a native Panasonic lens and it's been well worth it. You can't put a filter on it, but that's no big deal for me.

The perfect walk around lens
I use this lens with my Panasonic Lumix GF-1, for which I have a wrist strap. This camera I use for walking around photography, looking for striking city landscape (architecture) and people shots. Before buying the 7-14mm I was using a Nikkor 16mm with an adapter. It was an OK combination but this lens just blows me away. Light, excellent detail, terrific color. I could go on and still looking for something negative to say to give this credibilit... Show More

Great Lens for its size and weight
Great wide angle range, light weight and great picture quality. Only thing could have been better is if it accepted a filter. But totally understand the optical challenge and why the front element needed to bulge out in this form factor.

Looks and feels better than it performs
Fantasic for avoiding stitching panoramas in this big country (Australia) and when travelling, and even for social gatherings and travel pics in crowds, when depth of field helps with speed of use. Very high quality build, zoom and focus both very smooth, autofocus quick and quiet in movies, but images look a bit soft out of the camera and benefit from some post processing.

Wide angle heave
I use this product for both still photography as well as full 1080 video. I have a Panasonic AF100 as well as a Panasonic GH2 DSLR. the lens works great in both settings. I would buy it again. It was worth every penny. Pros: amazing 110 degrees of view. Cons: Not very good in low light. However to be fair it is only an f 4.0

Good but not brilliant
This is a solid ultra-wide-angle lens for the MFT system, but note quite of the same class as the Nikkon 14-24mm f/2.8 it often gets compared to. It's a little soft in the corners, even stopped down to f/8. Chromatic abberation and vignetting on the other hand are almost non-existent. On my GH2 the AF is fast and spot-on.

Better than I expected - Awesome lens
Absolutely awesome lens, I expected good but this is amazing, bright, super sharp and very fast to focus. It is so incredibly wide and gets everything in, so wide in fact that you may not even want to use it too much at the widest setting when shooting video and panning because it looks too much like an effect. Holding it still yields incredible results, so dynamic and wide it feels like an IMAX movie, the same kind of effect as when they have a super wide lens inside the space shuttle, massive composition and no creative limits - expensive but worth every cent.

Amazing ultra-wide zoom
Not only is it amazing how wide 7mm is (same as 14mm on full frame DSLR) but also how useful I've found the zoom to be. For example, taking interior photos of a car the 9mm setting was the best to give full field of view yet not look 'unnatural'. The low distortion give very pleasing pictures. Some vignetting occurs, of course, but that is easily corrected in LightRoom or Photoshop. This certainly my favorite ultra wide and one of the most used lenses on my Lumix GH2. Highly recommended! Its expensive but excellent quality and superbly useful.
