Photographers who use Manfrotto tripods are smart -very smar
We have a fabulous view of Mt Rainier from our home. I have been taking photos of the sunrise for years -hand held or a cheap tripod. The Manfrotto and 3 way pan head makes an incredible difference in the sharpness and clarity of the photos. It also makes an incredible difference in photographing the forest in the early morning light!

great tripod!
This has everything I could want in a tripod. Its tall and sturdy and expandable. The only catch is that I came from a carbon fiber tripod and I have to get used to the added few pounds. It makes the day a little longer from carying the added weight. But it was a lot less expensive than my carbon and it will likely last a lot longer.

Sturdy
This is my first carbon fiber tripod legs. A step up from the cheaper all in one tripods I've used in the past and I would say well worth the upgrade. I've done some practice long exposure night shots in my back yard and it's night and day compared to what I was using before. Would recommend and a must have for long exposure images.

Light and solid !!
Recently bought this to replace the older version of the same tripod I had which got destroyed along with a remote camera in a factory shoot (not a good idea). This new version is even better than the old. The locks on the legs now click into place nicely. Very solid tripod for my Canon 5DMark3 and Sony FS5, can easily support more.

Built like a tank
I bought this tripod along with a ManfrottoMHXPRO3W 3 way pan/tilt head for use with my 100mm spotting scope and A77ii with Tamron 150-600mm lens. This baby is solid as a rock and with no wobble or vibration at all. I wouldn't recommend for backpacking because it's on the heavy side but for everything else it's highly recommended.

A Great Head Unit
Wow what a great Head Unit.... When installed on my tripod it was so smooth and worked perfectly. I did research other units but this one is def made well and solid. YOu cant go wrong with this head unit. Will last you a lifetime. Can use it for still photography and with its smooth movement can be used for video aswell. Love it.

I would buy this product again.
No problems with MT055CXPRO4 carbon fiber tripod, light weight and sets up fast. The MHXPRO-BHQ2 XPRO Ball Head Plate mounting bolt came loose after about half hour of use, after some Loctite no further problems. This is my first ball head and I really like the speed of set up. I took it to the Ballon Fiesta and it worked great.

Great
This is a great tripod head, it's a little heavy and bulky but if you're looking for a 3 way tilt wtih a heavy load capacity than this is for you. It's slow to set up and move which will be a downside and will cause me to go buy a ball head as well. But I'm very happy with this product and it will be a great addition to my gear

Expensive, but a great tripod.
I had to save up, but it was worth it. Finally a tripod that is as tall enough for me, even though for a good landscape I am usually having to bend over since I like to keep things close to the ground. Heavier then my travel tripod, but not by much and I find it worth carrying this carbon fiber tripod with me where ever iIgo.

Heavy gear
808RC4 head from Manfrotto is a heavy gear in both meaning. It's heavy in weight, but it's supposed to be like that. it's also sturdy which is something you're looking for in pro stuff like that. It's of great use in photo studios as well as doing the landscape work. all mechanisms work smoothly and I'm very satisfied so far.

Exactly what I needed
As an amateur photographer, I've often made do with second hand equipment. However, I needed to replace the video pan head which was on my Bogen tripod. I wanted a 3-way pan/tilt with some heft to it. This head is perfect. Handles are well placed, there is smooth movement and I especially like the double axis spring system.

Good lightweight video tripod
I purchased this tripod for my 128R fluid head to use for DSLR video work on lower budget productions. Very pleased! My only gripe about it that it is little troublesome extending the legs to get low to the ground - pinched my fingers on a couple occasions. All in all, good value and the build is sturdy without being bulky.

Good compact video head
The Manfrotto MHXPRO-3W provides another tool in my kit when I need to shoot video on assignment or for personal projects. It's a quick change from my ball head on my Manfrotto tripod, and I've kept it on for still shooting as well. The three-axis adjustments work readily, and the head folds compactly to fit in my backpack.

Excellent tripdo
Only have had this tripod a short time but it's been a great addition to my photo equipment. The difference that its made to the quality of my macro photos is incredible. I can now setup within inches of my subject where I could never of been able with my older standard tripod. This tripod lives up to all its other reviews.

very nice head
This head is extremely sturdy. If I didn't plan to get into some bigger lenses in the future, I would have probably gone with the 804 RC2. I haven't found the spring loaded counter balance to be that helpful so I usually have it switched off. This head is a little heavy, but it should take care of anything you throw at it.

Great tripod
I've only had this tripod for a couple of weeks and I love it. It's light enough to pack and sturdy enough to hold my gear steady. I find a new feature nearly every time I use it. The only thing it's missing is a hook on the bottom of the center column, but the release for the 90 degree feature is there so a hook can't be.

Works well for medium format setup
I use this pan/tilt head in a studio where the camera is in a fixed position, but needs small precise adjustments. Large weight capacity works well for my medium format macro setup. Controls are great for making precise adjustments to camera position. It is kind of a beast, but for my application weight is not an issue.

Nice tripod head.
I bought this head to replace a Manfrotto MH804, and I'm happy with the decision. Three points: tilt adjustments in both directions are smooth, the tension controls make for secure settings, and I am reasonably at ease having a camera with long lens on this quick release mechanism. I do recommend the XPRO head. Edwin C.

Solid tripod for the price
Haven't given this a thorough shake down, but so far has held up well to in-studio use. The ability to angle the neck for over-head shots has been super useful. The only down side is the 3-way head, the camera release locking mech seems a bit lacking. The plastic piece is the one weak point on an otherwise great tripod.

Beast
The tripod is one of the best tripods I've ever purchased. Comparing to Gitzo tripods and especially its price, the price isn't over kill. With Manfrotto, it's super stable, a lot of flexibility and the ball head is second to none. If you have heavy gears, you can't go wrong with this tripod. I very much recommend it.

Excellent tripod head
This tripod head is very well made. It seems that the components are very precisely machined because the axes move smoothly without any looseness. The front to back tilt handle never gets in the way either in the extended or retracted position. Having three levels is very good as you can level each axes individually.

Awesome
Simply awesome. Light, and stiff, the raw carbon legs are just beautiful to look at. Swapped the head for a pistol grip and threw the ball on some Gitzo legs. Some say carbon is not worth the cost over the alloy legs, but I disagree. Good for a pro, or semi pro. If you need something lighter, go for the 190 carbon.

Just what I needed
This tripod was purchased days before a shoot. I bought it mostly for it's ability to easily shoot overhead shots without bending over the shot and coming up with wildly inconsistent shots. This tripod is sturdy and can be used in a variety of situations. My only thing is that even when compact it is a little long.
