Manfrotto MH293D3-Q2 3-Way, Pan-and-Tilt Head with 200PL-14 Quick Release Plate

UPC's:
Bigger than expected
I use this product for stills and close-up photography, but I believe the product is weight rated for bigger products like video cameras. I think I over-estimated the weight-rating that I needed, since I only use the head for photography, but (optimistically-speaking) I may further my avocation into videography...

I love this tripod
This is a very well built tripod and that 3 way pan and tilt head is great... I've always used ballheads in the past, no more. I really like the control I have over my camera using a good quality 3 way head. You can position the center column horizontally, a really nice feature. I am very happy with this product.

Good, Quality Ball Head
Very easy to adjust. When locked, it doesn't slip at all, even with my camera (Nikon D750) and heaviest lens. The ball head friction is adjustable, which is nice if you're doing a video pan (loose), or just framing a composition (tighter). It's a little heavy, but that's an OK tradeoff for its strength. Love it.

Excellent tripod for all levels of photographer
You can spend a lot more money, even though this one isnt cheap, on a Gitzo or some other ultra-high end tripod. But this carbon fiber model does everything a photographer would want: light weight, very stable, easy to use and very effective hardware. I would recommend this to anyone at any level of photography.

EXCELLENT PRODUCT
Visited the store and received an excellent demo from the salesperson. Diagram instructions were very helpful. The product is heavy, but well built. Ill be using the tripod in my home and the backyard. I am doing macro photography and I needed this tripod for focus stacking. I am quite pleased with the results.

What a difference!
This is a very reliable and strong head. I have no worries mounting my camera with grip, long lens and flash all at once. If you're looking for a panhead you can't do much better than this, especially at this price. It is heavy but I can hardly consider that a con. I knew it would be heavy when I purchased it.

Excellent Tripod
I really like this piece. Perfectly crafted. I think this will be the last tripod I ever need to buy unless, of course, my production requirement increase...in which case I would buy another Manfrotto product such as this one. Price is worth the product. I have seen cheaper tripods and, well, they feel cheap.

Perfect on my 055XPROB tripod
This combo is the perfect balance for my gear and needs. It holds secure my D800 with all heavy pro lenses. Expected Manfrotto quality and engineering. You must align the release plate carefully to the camera or it will not click securely onto the head. Be careful. I almost bounced the D800 off the rocks!

I love it and would recommend it.
Wow I love my new Manfrotto 055CX pro tri-pod and Xpro ball head. I got it and used it on the eclipse this last Monday. That is all I have had time to use it but I did love it. The $140.00 off plus the $140.00 rebate made it affordable for me as I am retired. The rebates and discounts go away August 31ST.

Great tripod legs
I got these legs as my first set of tripod legs. I used them on the 4th of july for some fireworks shots. They held my canon 6d and 24-105 nicely. They are very sturdy and the height of them with out the column extended is perfect for me being 6' 2. I don't think the weight of them is all that bad either.

dollars well spent
The Manfrotto 808RC4 3-Way Pan/Tilt Head is the redesigned model in the three-way range of heads. The 808RC4 now also includes the Double Axis Spring System which consists of a built-in 3.3 lb spring...i'll be using this with my 400mm lens, and knowing there it well stay once i lock it in place,no drift!

Heavy and Stable
I had used carbon fiber tripods before. While they are lighter, this one is more stable for photographing in windy situations. This tripod is very stable and easy to use. That said, because it is so heavy, you may not want to haul it very far (such as a hike) unless you have a good way to transport it.

Sturdy enough for heavy lens
What I was hoping for. Very sturdy and holds tightly with 500mm lens. Vertical adjustment is limited but rotating camera on clamp alows 90 deg orientation. Wish it had an Arca clamp and little longer handles. Just never could get warmed up to a ball head. Happy to have a good quality pan head in my bag

I would buy this product again.
Very well built equipment. The head is a serious thing- there is weight to it, but sturdy. Not something you want to take hiking, but for Real Estate photography, it is perfect. The tripod is awesome, but watch out for those snaps... they will pinch you good. I'm very impressed with the total quality.

Sturdy and Easy to Use
I have used my new tripod several times, and I really enjoy the ease of adjustments. It is also quick to adjust the tripod for horizontal shots. It would receive 5 starts except it is not as light as I would like, but that requires a carbon fiber tripod!. This one is affordable and works beautifully.

MT190XPRO3 Aluminum Tripod
A fairly nice tripod that is a sturdy, can handle a decent load, very steady, nice clamp style releases to extend and contract the legs. uses standard 3/8 mount to attach a head, I use it with a Benro S6 Fluid head. A detraction is that it does not have spikes on the feet to steady it in soft ground.

Good for stills, not ideal for video
The head is great for still images, especially for stop-motion work it is ideal because of the degree marks on all three axes. Not ideal for video work, though, pan and tilt motions of the head are not naturally smooth. But you can still make it work, just be very fluid with your arm and shoulder.

Solid piece that works exactly right
I use this for real estate interior work, and it's great for setting up precise verticals. I was using a ball headwhich was finebut this is just better. The quality of both the head and the legs inspires confidence, and the weight is appropriate to stabilize the unit without being terribly heavy.

Great product
I use the tilt head with my Manfrotto tripod. Has three leveling bubbles which is especially useful if shooting architecture or horizons etc. The handles pull out or can be pushed in out of the way. It mounts on the tripod very secure as well as supporting a camera securely. Well worth the money.

Solid tripod
Solid sturdy tripod that worked really well this past weekend. The quick release clamps made adjusting the legs easy. The ball head clamped tight right where I wanted it to. Didn't get a chance to try the tripod with my Sigma 150-600 Sport lens so I may update this review when I get that set up.

Very pleased!!
I utiize this product with my Canon XL2 with a Matte Box, and Sony UWP mic set which the 808RC4-3-way pan/tilt head hold without question. I like everything about this product, I'm very pleased with; I'm also glad I purchased it. I have not found anything wrong with it, and I suspect I will not.

The greatest thing about the 055CXPRO3 is the weight and the ergonomy i just bought it one week ago and can say that im very satisfied with this tripod from Manfrotto, no so cheap but you pay for the quality, absolutltly recommended for long trips, nature, wildlife, productshots, etc, etc, etc.

Sturdy - Smooth Head
It takes a little time to get familiar with this head but it is very stable. I have no worries about my camera getting dinged. I use this with a Manfrotto 055XB tripod and although the two are a bit heavy, they're stable and easy to use. The clear shots I get say it best. Reliable, safe head.

I love my new tripod
This was recommended to my by my photography teacher. I for some reason always had difficulties using tripods. But I found this one very easy to use. It is very sturdy and easy to use. I used it for the first time this past weekend at a sunset photo workshop. I was extremely pleased with it.
