Love these drives
I hope I don't jinx myself with this, but I've been happy with western digital external hard drives for years. This one doesn't disappoint. Lots of storage in a small package.

Great drive for good value
I use the product for external storage of my photo library and iTunes library. Before I used the 2GB version for a couple of years and I use 2 others too. Very reliable drive. Good strong cable and connector too I find. I have been travelling with it quite a bit.

Finally getting enough space
As an avid semipro photographer I'm accumulating hundreds of thousands of pictures. Instead of spreading over six external drives from the space-limited past, I'm starting to aggregate them onto this drive. I checked it with a deep scan and it's perfect. It's small enough to fit my bank safe deposit box as an archive when we are away from the office. I bought orange because I want to use it as a special storage space and stand out from the other drives. So far so good. Happy customer.

Mixed
I bought these drives and loved them. Sadly, 5 months in one has already failed. I don't even work off that drive often so it really bummed me out. I'm in the process of trying to save the data off it which is pretty darn expensive in my book. I want to love these drives. I'm now just paranoid that my others are going to fail.

I would buy this product again. This one is my second one.
Using it for the backup of my system. I do not use the software that came with it as I use a 3rd party software package. It works as I expected.

Have owned 3, 1 failed.
Bought three of these. One failed pretty quickly. Called WD, and they were no help at all - it was as if they were a third third party and the product had been made by someone else. These drives are inexpensive, and that's nice, but I'd rather have my files.

Quiet and fast
I needed a new backup drive for TimeMachine. Formatted for Mac quickly and performs well. It is so quiet its hard to tell its there. I bought the Passport as it is small and easy to disconnect to put in fireproof safe.

Value part of my computing power

Cheap reliable backup storage
I use this hard drive to back up video projects. I like them because they're small drives and large capcities. I use them in pairs, and am yet to have one fail me (touch wood).

Good capacity drive for extra capacity
The 4TB Passport seems to over good capacity for the money. The product was as described online, although I would have preferred the metal case model (was told it was continued 2 weeks after being on back order.) While the WD backup utilities seem to be doing the job, the interface is lacking as it tends to want to operate in the background and does not give out a good interactive screen so you can see more about what it is actually backing up. Handy Device for Backups
These things are great for back-ups, drive images and or just extra storage capacity. I've always had good luck with WD products so I chose this product. OH yes - the orange color makes it easy to locate in my sometimes messy desk drawer!

4TB Portable Hard Drive
Very happy with the product. Instead of 4TB, the drive is only 3.6TB. I do hope that the manufacturer can give the real amount of TB.

Great External Drive
I love this drive. First the storage on it is great...4TB. The size is remarkably small for a drive with that much space. Makes finding a place for it next to my laptop easy. Transfer between my computer and the drive is very fast. Connects to my computer directly via USB cable so there is no line cord involved. That makes the space it takes up even less and allows the drive to run completely cool.
