Serious quality issue
These are the 2 last WD drives I buy although I have to highlight they seem to do the job. However, my previous purchase in Aug 2019 of two similar drives was drastically different as one of the drive had mechanical issues and never worked. WD offered to replace it at the condition I return the defective drive. These drives are relatively cheap and returning a defective one does not make sense. Great item for backups.
Comes with extra features and is a great portable hard drive. Works well for private backup that you can take with you. Small and easy to use. Also comes in other sizes with more capacity.

WD....Another Great Portable Drive
No kidding...I am a big fan of Western Digital drives and this one is no exception. It's 1 TB, but actually a little smaller in physical size. The drive has been running wonderfully and fast. I do like it.

Great Time Machine Drive for Mac
I bought this in Dec 2016 as a Time Machine backup drive for my iMac with 3TB Fusion drive. It's still going strong as of Dec 2019.

Works wonderfully. No issues.
This drive is reliable, and the red color makes it easy to find in my bag. I have it formatted as exFAT so I can use it on both Mac and PC. Works great.

A PASSPORT THAT TAKES YOU PLACES
This item is a well built, reliable, easy to use storage medium. The 4TB is a tremendous amount of space for any application. Its also slim and light so its easy to back up your entire system and content and tuck away in a vault for safe keeping.

Reliable hard drive for backups.
Several years ago I bought two of these drives and they've been solid backup for my Mac. I like them so much I bought 4 for my back up materials and archives. I like that the come in several colors so I can quickly tell which drive is which.

Absolute piece of ...buyer beware
DOWS NOT WORK AND STALLS MY WHOLE MACBOOK OS. Worked for about 2 minutes. I connected to my mbp, which recognized it. Then tried to move some files onto it, upon which process this drive got stuck at certain number of files, and stopped working. Froze my whole operating system. After that the system does not see it, neither in Finder nor in Disk utility, what's more when I run disk utility with this drive plugged in, not even my hard drive shows ... Show More

Small and fast
I keep my offsite backups in a safe deposit box a couple of blocks from my house (more convenient and faster than cloud services!); this drive fits easily in the box and, once formatted for Mac, backed up quickly from Time Machine.

Still working
Easy to use. I formatted this in exfat on my PC so that I can use it on both my PC and my Mac. So far, it hasn't crashed.

great value for the price
this is the fourth wd portable drive I have purchased. I am a photographer and have two elements I use to store images. image files consume a great deal of storage, slowing down your primary computer. this is the second passport drive, purchased for my wife who is a writer. it will be used to store manuscripts, spoken word materials, performance videos and other documents.

A Hard drive I can rely on and I like a lot!
This Hard drive has been working every time in my computer - which is great because I needed to back up a ton of my photos and other information and it keeps working. This one is much better then the other hard drive I had - that stopped working!

High quality, reliable portable storage.
I've been buying WD drives of various sizes for nearly 20 years and never once has any of them ever failed. Some I have actively used for nearly a decade before upgrading to a higher capacity model. The last thing I want to have happen is a back-up drive failure and the risk of losing years of photos, videos and other data. That is why I stick with WD. Consistently high reliability at a reasonable price.

Super Compact and Great Performance
This is a very compact drive which looks gorgeous and connects super fast to my workstation. Fast speed and it never gets warm. I have a couple of WD Drives for my work and they all work flawless!

Stopped working after a few months
The hard drive was working fine initially. Then it started ticking amid working just fine. Now it gives I/O device error. It can't be recognized by my computer while another WD passport hard drive is still working with the same USB cable. Even formatting can't be performed. I also rebooted my computer several times, it doesn't help.After a phone call with a tech from WD, they offered a replacement. I have to pay the shipping cost. Also, the time AND DATA lost in it!! Not recommended.

Functional Drive in good form factor and color
The physical size of the drive and the 4TB capacity make this extremely useful for traveling and backing up your photos on a frequent basis. I bought the yellow color just to make it easy to find among my other gear.
