I bought this to record drums. With 8 inputs, I can mic 2 overheads, 2 on the snare (top and bottom), kick, rack tom and floor tom, and still have an input to track bass at the same time. I'm using this with Studio One 5 Pro and had no problem setting it up and recording in the same day. Pristine sound and zero latency issues. Great interface - love it.

After lots of research, I decided to go with the 18i20 as it would not only fit my initial needs, but also be something I can grow with. This is the first interface I've ever purchased or used and I must say it is very user friendly. Focusrite does a great job of providing a database of videos to get you on track. As always, B&H offers awesome customer service and fast shipping.

This Gen 3 18i20 replaces my trusty Saffire Pro 40. Silky smooth controls, great construction and a greatly improved Focusrite Control software. My only wish is that Focusrite would either add dedicated output metering or design it so that a switch could flip from input to output. Otherwise, a great price of kit at a very attractive price.

I am very pleased with this Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 USB 2.0 Audio Interface (wnd Generation) I am getting clean audio sounds that I always dream to get from my equipment. However, I have finally bought the right equipment to give me that studio sound I was always looking for. Thank you B&H for your recommendation. Michael Rodriquez

Got this guy when my focusrite solo kicked the bucket. Got more than enough inputs for a 5 piece drum mic set, vocal mic and line inputs for bass/guitar. I’ve only been using it for a week, so I can’t attest to durability, only that it’s sleek and works well

Really nice interface. I’ve had Avid and MOTU. The Focusrite 18i20 3rd gen seems to be solidly built and reliable. I’m using Logic Pro X, and all is working fine. If you are looking for a good interface, I recommend.

It's a lot different from what I've been using. There is a learning curve. Can't get the instruments right. I need some time

Great piece of gear so far though it would have been great to have usb 3, it's one less dongle in my setup. So far recordings are good and build quality is pretty good as well.

I have used some of this, I think it has good preamps, with a good character input for basses and drums. Works good with vocals and guitars, I just prefer it on the drums. Worth what you pay for. I still have apogee's duet and quartet, and those are my #1 choice, specially for synths and vocals.

As is always the case with B&H, I ordered the item and it arrived the next day. So far everything works fine. I am still learning all the capabilities and I have not had any issues. The unit is mainly used with an iPad and Auria software, a very good match.

Works great with Protools DAW. Love how it has 2 headphone jacks with independent volume controls - very important for vocal booth work. I like the AIR feature. Preamps work great. We used it to record tracks for Lysette Lee and Midnight Angels.

Great quality, such a clear pure sound! Easy to figure out. Only thing I dont like, is the Power Button is upside down. You have to flip the switch down to turn it on.
