I use this mic with my Canon 5D MkII when shooting video instead of the built-in mic. It worked perfectly during a recent shoot at a bar on Tybee. The sound in my YouTube post was very nice and so much better than that in a previous video also posted on YouTube.

Used mainly for outdoor shooting on a job site. Captures much of the surroundings, decent for quick voice bites. Does have a buzzing sound, but can be tweaked slightly in post production. A good option for getting started.

I use this with a Canon H-20. Its's super portable and has great pickup for it's size. Tucks nicely into a small camera bag. My school's telecommunications department bought a bunch of these for student use too. Reliable so far.

Used the mike on a recent vacation I like the way background noise was diminished compared to the mike on the Canon 7D. I recommend this product for use in situtions where unwanted noise is a problem.

The mike was not as good as my internal one in my D7000. I immediately returned it. Even with menu gain on max it was hardly audible.

The mic is very good, the wire is very short and not too long. Sometimes the audio is quiet, but you can probably fix that in post.
