I use the mic on my dslr camera canon 5D mark II while shooting video. It is lightweight and portable. It works well keeping any movement of my camera quiet. I haven't found any feature that was problematic so far. I recommend this product.

I purchased the mike to go with my Kodak Zi8 video camera. It works great with it. I found you really need to get a shoe mount to go with it. I bought the Bescor VB-50 Universal Shoe Mount for it and now the combo of the Zi8 and the mount work very well and with my tripod.

I'm a seasoned cameraman with solid audio background. I wanted to get a mic to up the audio recording potential of my Canon 7D set-up so in run and gun situations (when you don't needs great audio) i bought this mic - it's small but definitely much larger than camera's internal mic so it HAD to be better. Unfortunately a quick test of recording with the this mic and without proves how SUPERIOR camera's internal mic (!!!) is to this junk. Use your camera's internal mic for better audio!

I read the reviews about the gain being low for non-adjustable cameras...but figured I'd be fine. The GH3 has a pretty wide range of adjustable gain. Woops....no way. Even maxed out, the gain is so low the mic is useless for me. Build quality seemed nice though...oh well.

This is my first external mic so I don't have much to compare it to but I did some inital testing and concluded that the sound quality is superior to the onboard mic for my t3i. The size is really ideal and for the price it'll be a nice entry level improvement for my progressing video hobby.

I am an amateur photogrpaher who was asked to video a play. The microphone was the least expensive stereo mic that I could find with a camera mount. I like the size and the fact it is stereo. I would prefer to have a receptacle as opposed to a connected wire, which is a negative point. Performance was fine, but I wasn't looking for something really professional, I wanted stereo. I still heard the focusing clicks of the lens.

I use this on my Panasonic HDC-TM700 palmcorder. I like the small profile. Lost a star due to no power light. Screwed up a couple times because i didn't know it was on or off.

Great product to quiet focusing noise while recording video in the Nikon D7000. Good solid build quality and performs as it should.

I bought this for my EOS5D MkII when I learned how to control the audio gain with the Canon firmware upgrade. I shot my friends' rock band and the sound was excellent.

Great for on the go video. I mount this on to my boom pole and or my dslr camera. Its so small and fits into pretty much any camera bag. I really recommend buying this microphone. If you are just starting or even if you have been in the video business for a while, this is for you.

Because this mic is incredibly noisy. When plugged into my 5D Mk II this mic is noisier than the built-in one, by far. In side-by-side comparisons I prefer the onboard audio. The only benefit this adds is stereo separation. Not going to give it a one-star because I have a feeling this is due to the pitiful inputs on the camera and not the mic.

Haven't owned the mic long enough to fully review. Bought this mic to use on a DSLR for video/audio capture. Microphone works well, good stereo seperation. Helps to focus audio capture to subject up to 5 feet away. Much better than built in mic on camera.

Great Item, I use on a Canon 7D and it improves the audio greatly. This is also a great product for the price.

Great little mic, light, compact, and therefore versatile - however, if you're using a 5Dmkii you'll be out of luck unless you use the Magic Lantern firmware (which I don't...sadly). Only downside - the on/off switch is very small and there is no LED or indicator that the mic is still on, thus you might run into the problem of running down the battery...which is sadly not AAA or something more common.
