I cant believe I lived without this. No more tripods loosening on your camera. No more plates falling off. Too bad its a little heavy but it does the job solidly.

Beautifully engineered product
Well machined this high quality bracket is rock solid when fitted to the camera. The design is excellent and probably the best compromise for allowing some use of the articulating screen. Expensive, and you notice the extra weight and bulk, but if you are using a tripod then its the best option available.

If you own a phase XF you should purchase
It is so convenient for tripod mounting - does not get in way of your phase digital backs - is compact, very well made - happy I added it to my kit

Good enough for now.
I bought this plate as a protection and its pretty good and im satisfied. But the problem is since the long waited release cord x is announced and if i want to use it, i have to part slide out the plate. Its your call, if youre fine with this, go for it. This is pretty sturdy item.

Superbly Made, Breathtakingly Expensive
Love RRS stuff, but at the prices being charged, and with alternatives readily available, it takes a commitment and belief that the additional paid is worth the cost in the long run. I have found that to be the case with other RRS (ball head, etc.). So, it gets a 5 star rating from me. Ask me again in 20 years, and it will probably still look almost new, be without any warp or other deterioration, and will be one of my better investments.

does not actually fit
After a long call to RRS it turns out this does not in any way fit the G!X now produced. Too bad, that is on them not B&H. If you want something for a G!X II you are out of luck.

Solid L plate but installation a bit fiddly
I upgraded from a 5D3 to 5D4 and like others would have preferred RRS to retain the one piece L Plate design rather than go down the modular route as I shoot stills and dont have any need for the flexibility offered by the modular approach. Indeed, I seriously contemplated going with another brand but I have RRS ball heads and pano kit and prefer to keep it all in house. Excellent plate
As usual for RRS, excellent fit and craftmanship. However this plus the additional L-bracket component were so expensive, that I decided to forego the L-component (an additional $100). This stuff is nice, but getting very over-priced.

Nice Product, BUT
Beautifully crafted (except for below0 and fits like a glove and does what it is supposed to BUT: as in another review one of the little TINY magnets that holds the hex key came out the first time used right out of the box. Is very expensive but the only one in the market
I needed an anti-twist plate for my EM1 mk2. While there are much cheaper ones on Amazon, this is the only one that comes with an additional 1/4 hole to mount another accessory. The quality of the workmanship is top notch. However, it does come at a price.

Not Perfect
I use this because I can snap a QD clip into it and its nice to flip over so why the 4 stars? Well, When I connect my cord to it that connects to my computer to dump video to my computer its kinda tight getting the USB cord in. It works but it is a bit of a struggle doing it. I wish there was a little more room for getting this cord into the camera

Top notch
I generally wait at least 3 months post-acquisition to review a product, but since there are no real moving parts here I figured I would go ahead and review this after a couple weeks of consistent use. Like all RRS kit this is built very well. It is also thoughtfully engineered to handle the side mount battery of the GFX 50S. The plate locks down into my tripod head as expected - in both the horizontal and vertical orientation - and doesnt allow any slip. I have yet to try this with my battery grip but given the design of the grip I see no reason why it wont work. Top notch product.

Why did I wait so long?
I shoot primarily landscapes so my review is for that situation. It works out so perfectly. No more adjusting the ball head and I love that the camera is centered over the tripod now. This plate is very sturdy but not heavy. Big thumbs up!

Just what I needed
I have been using the Sony extension to rest my pinky, but had to take it off when I use a tripod. This item does both jobs and also allows me to shoot vertically without having to recompose. The build quality is second to none.

RRS L Plate for GFX1
I am very disappointed in this item as one cannot open the battery door or use the mic and cable release with this product. I thought RRS had better products than this.

First time a RRS product has disappointed me
Ive been a fan of RRS products for years. I use their ball heads, and their tripod brackets are on all my cameras and telephoto lenses. Really Right L Bracket 4 Me
I have been using another type of Landscape-Portrait orientation rotating bracket on my tripod. But the design of that bracket results in the remote release cord becoming wedged and crimped while changing camera orientation from Landscape orientation to Portrait orientation.
