Very good but.
Well made , attached easily, BUT when attached it blocks the door where you attach cables, . Its is also too expensive for what you get.. At this time there is no other alternative.

Why didnt I get it earlier!!
Ive had my RRS tripod and ball head for over 4 years and Have had the normal plate. As I needed a plate for my second travel tripod, investigated the L plate and was apprehensive as to the benefit. After putting it on I was impressed by the build, the snug fit and the ability to move camera positions. Its a must have for all tripod users and compatible with arca mounts.

Best L bracket for sony a7iii
Love this product especially the magnetized allen key. Only gripe it the price. Way overpriced for what it is and probably is a similar alternative out there.

Can't Go Wrong With The Really Right Stuff!
This plate fits my Pentax K-1 camera PERFECTLY! It even allows for the viewer....meaning that it does not even touch nor hinder the viewer finder screen from popping out. Excellent product and would highly recommend!!! A++++++ The image just shows the view finder open showing that the plate does not obstruct it.

Nicely Sculptured and Sturdy L Bracket
Really like how the bracket fits on my Sony A7R III where I can still use my strap posts to connect my neck or hand strap. The one item that I haven't really figured out is how to replace the battery with my fat fingers and the tightly sculpted bracket element that wraps around the battery access door.

Too Early to Say
My RRS gear is always great but it is too early to judge this on only because the camera it will fit is on back order. I keep L brackets on all my cameras for two reasons. Firstly, they are convenient with a tripod and I mostly do landscapes from tripod. Second, when I do hand hold and walk around, they provide a bit of protection. Sometimes I set the camera on a rock or railing and the L bracket protects the finish on the camera. More later I guess after I get the camera and confirmed it fits well.

Necessary and Best piece of equipment
I always had trouble keeping my camera screwed in tight to my ballhead tripod. And when I went to switch to vertical shoot, the camera would just start to loosen. This L bracket was the perfect answer to my problem holding the camera securely both horizontally and vertically. I chose Really Right Stuff because they have quality products... slightly more expensive but a perfect fit for my camera. I absolutely love it !

fits exactly
I used a RRS L bracket on my 5Dmark2 and found it to be very useful. When I upgraded to a mark4, I made sure to upgrade the bracket. The usefulness is worth the price.

Extremely solid, perfect fit, productivity booster
I'm still using a Mefoto tripod and slowly getting some RRS gear. This item fits like a glove and has already made moving between portrait and landscape orientation so much easier. When traveling though (without a tripod), I will remove it to lessen some weight. I like to keep the camera strap affixed to the camera and it was easy to do. well made but tricky install
Other reviewers have said it well- this is a classic RRS top notch build, but it is fiddly to install. That's fine when you have time and light, but the whole point is to use with a tripod, and if the bracket isn't on your camera when you get to the field and want to use it, it may well stay that way. RRS L-Plate for Nikon D750
It fits, and it sticks. It really makes difference, and taking portrait photos with a tripod is much easier and faster. This is a must have.

Works as Advertised
Fits well, stable in both landscape and portrait orientation. Battery easy to access by moving door from camera body to L-set mount. I have not tried it in the rain yet, waterproofing seems similar to Alpha body in this respect so I wouldn't get it soaked. Best extra feature is that it accommodates the pinky so no extra adapter is necessary. It may provide some protection for the body as well. Overall I am happy with it.

A Very Important Add-On
Shooting on tripod with a Arca-Swiss compatible clamp head, changing a lot from horizontal to vertical shooting, doing lots of panorama shots, using focusing racks, enjoying macro photography... RRS not really all that right
The product was easy enough to install and seemed solid at first. After 3 days in the field with some rough hiking/driving, the screw for the strap attachment came lose (thankfully I had a hold of the camera at the time). The screw on the bottom came lose as well after extended use. They didnt supply the correct Allen wrench size for these screws. Consider other options before purchasing given the price.

Amazing Quality, As Usual
The L bracket fits my a73 perfectly. It just integrates so well and disappears. I like that I can quickly take off the side L part if I want to slim it down. The battery door works fine. And the built-in allen wrench is pretty cool way to always have that with you.

An Arca L-Plate is and Essential Tool
I have purchased L-Plates for every camera Ive owned since 2003 (the Digital Age), and Sony has been no exception. They keep the weight and lens centered on a tripod in the vertical position, and help protect the camera, somewhat like a roll cage. Cables attached to the side (e.g., for video) are protected, and that protection can be augmented with an Arca cable clamp. The RRS L-plates have two sockets for straps with a military-style quick connector, which is a secure way to carry the camera and easily removed as needed.

This is my first experience with Really Right Stuff. This is a high quality item. You kind of have to see it to understand...the Allen wrench is secured by a magnet and perfectly positioned. The brackets fit is impeccable. The Arca Swiss connections are perfect. This thing is solid!

beautifully made
The base plate provides a wider support than the standard square mini-plates and slides effortlessly into the quick release. Light, perfectly fitting, and fine to leave on all the time. Considering the minor cost difference to the universal plate, this is a far better investment.

This has become part of my camera body!
This is the first accessory I purchased for my a7r3 as I had one on my Canon 5DM4 and loved it. I keep the baseplate on the camera 98% of the time. Ill even attach a Peak Design Capture plate to the bottom when I want to have it attached to my backpack strap. The L component goes on it whenever I am heading out with a tripod and in fact it probably on it 60% of the time. I can still charge and upload using the USB-C port without having to remove either the baseplate or the L component. Works great.
