Fits the bill and top notch quality.
I use this printer for high quality prints 8x10 to 17x2 and haven't been disappointed yet. (It replaced a Pro.) yields deep/rich blacks and handles full gamut of grays for B&W images (my preference). By the same token, color images are fantastic. Easy to set up and to add to network.

Nothing was easy about setup, had to turn it on then off again and again then there were problems with computer recognizing the new printer it is supposed to be wireless, that never happened, When it finally did print , it was not pretty. It might be good for a boat anchor, maybe..

The Rolls Royce of Printers
Ive owned several top Epsons over the years as well as a few top Canons but this one takes the cake. Fast, smooth, quiet and oh the pop of color and contrast. NO plugging of the head or issues that the Epsons are famous for having been there and done that. Highly recommended.

The worst experience ever.
I have been using wide format printers, on a Mac, for 20+ years. Just bought this printer and the Mac interface is from medieval times. I have wasted a day trying to set this up with no luck. How bad can this be? REALLY bad. Buy from another manufacturer is my advice.

Amazing quality, better than labs
The pictures are razor sharp, no grain or noise and perfect color. You can get within inches of the print and colors etc. are perfect and consistent throughout. I have never seen this quality from commercial print companies. Love it, easy to set up and operate.

Excellent High Quality Printer
I found the set-up quite easy to do. The latest driver was installed during teh product on-line registration. I printed a color and a BW image and was quite pleased with the results. I recommend this printer to any serious amateur or professional photographer.

Outstanding Printer!!!
The PRO-1000 is a photo printer... and a great one! The quality of the images produced are second to none. Both color - - and B&W images are deep and rich, with amazing tonal range. If you need a serious photo printer that prints up to 17x22 look no further.

Fantastic Prints
Great wide format printer if you don't use paper rolls. Setup is easy and prints look amazing. Cut sheets up to 17x22 are fine. New vacuum technology to hold down paper and user-replaceable print head are both big plusses. Lucia ink is very nice as well.

i would have never guessed
This is a fantastic printer, and sooo advanced at a price that is hard to believe. I had the previous model, but this machine is incredibly advanced. I compare it to other printers that would cost 2-3 times the price, and the quality is to dream about!

Simply awesome
I love this machine and it's already making me $$$. I was so hesitant to get into printing at home but one look at a print from this machine and I was sold! Needless to say I'm beyond happy with it. I'd give it 10 stars if I could.

Spectacular Printer!
This printer has been the very best photo printer I have ever used. It was easy to setup and connect. Right out of the box it printed exactly what I saw on my monitor. Best prints with an amazing selection of sizes. Thanks Canon!

Worthless without Ink.
Back ordered Chroma. Now 13 days on backorder. Apparently the software is designed to dump ink if you do not regularly order new ink tanks. High ink usage is an insult, but failure to send tanks when ordered cannot be forgiven.

Wow after haveing a little problem setting it up.. this works like a charm.. I have printed a bunch of 13-19 prints an have had to order more ink.. the quality an prints are awesome, I can wait to print some more..

Superb Performance
XLNT printer output. Too new to know if ink usage is w/in acceptable limits. Would be nice if CANON would update firmware such that landscape images could be printed to a longer length than the cut-sheet maximum...

Wow!
What a printer! Everything I dreamt of for my fine art photography prints. There was a 300 dollar rebate that I mailed everything in for and did not receive. Not happy about that! Still a wonderful printer....

Great printer that is easy to set up and quiet to run
Great printer. very easy to set up. I didn't need most of the extra software. There are plenty of profiles for most papers. The prints are great. The printer is much quieter and doesn't shake the table at all.

Excellent Printer
I am very happy with this printer. I have had two 24 printers, and now this 17. The Canon produces sharp prints with good color fidelity. I like that it automatically shakes the ink cartridges for you.

Smaller and better BxW's than my Epson 4880 & color is true.
Printing on Red River papers and Canon's semi gloss I can get the most perfect match to my calibration monitor and print calibration device. Files from my Canon 5Ds are sharp at full print size.

So far so good
Setup was simple, if long. The prints I have made so far are right on the money. Ink usage has been fine and I expect it to continue. Far quieter and easier to load than my old Epson 4900.

Excellent Printer
I've only printer one photo so far and really like the quality. Mostly do black and white, so going to like the dedicated print nozzles for the blacks. Was easy to set up, its quite heavy.

Excellent quality, great paper handling
I bought this to replace my PRO-100 and am well pleased. However, I've been printing so many photos for friends and family, I'm concerned about the steep cost of ink ($600+)
