I just bought 2 of these mics as Stupid Deal of the Day. I just couldn't resist the price. I just wanted to try these out. I'm involved in a Praise Band at my Church. I put one on an acoustic guitar and to my surprise it sounded really good. I usually put an SM57 equivalent on it. I think this mic sounded better and cleaner. I had never heard of Marrantz making mics before.

I will use it to pinpoint recording targets in my home studio and occasionally for stage use with the band for picking up specialty percussion sources (pans, cow bell, ...)
