Great surround sound speakers
We bought 2 of these speakers to add to our ‘Sonos Beam’ (sound bar) to give us ‘surround sound’ on our tv (in our living room) they work fab and were easy to set up / add to the ‘Beam’. They are wireless so don’t need wires to connect to the ‘Beam’ but do have a power cable... so need to be located near a socket. We bought both the Beam and the 2 x ONE SLs from Argos due to the great price and because we have a local Argos (within 2 miles of home) meaning we are also shopping ‘local’ too.

Excellent sound quality and Alexa works well.
My daughter already has a Sonos so I knew what to expect with sound quality. The biggest surprise to me was how good Alexa is at coping out of the box with my Irish accent. Also, my 11 grandkids were here at weekend, Alexa had no problem handling voices of those from 6 upwards, they had a ton of fun with it :) One potential slight issue, unlike the Amazon Echo, you cannot rename Alexa and we happen to have a son-in-law called Alex but so far it hasn't picked up his name as an instruction.

Exemplary sound quality and features
This is my 2nd Sonos purchase Adding to my Play 5 and what a purchase it is. In standalone mode the sound quality is outstanding with exceptional bass range and clarity. Linking my Spotify account was simple from the Sonos app and any family member with the app can use it. The speaker can be set up for various rooms with a configuration option that samples the sound quality in the room you are in and then allows you to specify the room if you move the speaker around the house. Top buy.

Amazing little speaker
I’ve wanted a Sonos for so long after testing one a few years ago but never wanted Alexa so when they brought this version out I immediately bought it. It connects through WiFi so you can stream music and still use your phone without worrying about phone calls and texts interrupting your music. When you first set up it calibrates the sound to the room that your in for perfect sound. The sound quality is amazing.I’d put more about it but Argos has limited the length of the review. :(

Just works so well
Bought two Sonos One 2nd gen as a living room stereo pair. Already had a Sonos Play 1, now set up in the kitchen. Setting up with the app on my iPhone was simplicity itself and setting all 3 speakers up as a group means I can use Airplay 2 to play CDs on my iMac and (as a group) listen to it on my Play 1 in the kitchen. Music quality is top class for the money and the Sonos app makes it all so easy. Alexa as voice control for the Sonos One makes this is an exceptional bit of kit.

Superb sound
I’ve listened to music through many speakers over the years. However, despite that the Sonos One is mono, the audio sounds fantastic - whether streamed wirelessly from a local server or hi-res from Spotify. This wonderful speaker had seen me fall back in love with music and discover a new interest in podcasts and audiobooks. It has also proved useful as a timer, and - alongside Alexa or Google - an ability to run skills to keep the kids entertained. Highly recommended.

My first Sonos.
I am impressed with the sound and working of this unit , so much so I am going for another one and my plan is to get a play bar but going to wait for an upgraded version as it is about due . Then I will buy a sub and retire my denon soundbar and sub which is still good and 12 years old. I set the one up with the true sound but didn’t like that so I adjusted to suit my room manually, I will use true sound to set up when this unit and the other will become the back speakers,

Soon One, the only one for you!!
I was torn between Sono and Bose... Sonos all the way for me now, very easy to set up, works great with Alexa, just worth noting if you only use free versions of streaming services you can’t access them via the speaker, you will need to airplay them direct from your phone or table All link up easily or you can play different music /stations on different speakers.. all controlled via the app even adjusting individual volume or simultaneously change all volumes in one go..

Awesome Sound few drawbacks
Amazing sound as you would expect from Sonos, looks great too!!! Having previously owned an Amazon Echo, their are a few bits of functionality you can do on the sonos such as setting alarms to music and drop in calls. I also found the setup to Wi-fi a little tricky. All in all these are minor things as the sound is just unbelievable, that with the promise of google assistant coming to the speaker in the near future, makes it a worth purchase.

A solid piece of kit!
After a degree of patience getting it to connect and fine tuning the sound quality this small but very solid speaker sits quietly in the corner until it’s asked to perform! The sound is great for the price, it’s connects to Google or Apple with some degree of internet knowledge and has played perfectly over the whole Christmas festivities. On the whole it is a highly recommended piece of equipment and all the family are delighted with it!

Great sound and complete control
Sonos speakers are fantastic , but you either need a vast media library or Spotify subscription (or similar) to really use as more than a radio . Alexa is an interesting addition , but until they can master actually conversing rather than single replies it won’t match the hype. Also dissapointed that 2 Alexa in one house remain separate from each other. Ie set a Alexa kitchen timer ,but Alexa in the Living room knowns nothing about it.

Great speaker - we bought two
We bought two which was quite extravagant but we live in an old cottage and sound doesn’t travel easily due to thick walls. We have one downstairs in our family room and one in our bedroom. We may get another at some point and like the sound of the speaker for outdoors too. Really easy to set up, fab sound and look neat. We umm’d and arr’d whether to go for an alternative brand but decided to go for Sonos and really happy.

This is the best sounding smart speaker.
This product has incredible sound, with a deep, present bass and crisp, clear treble, and is identical in sound to the Play:1. It blends in pretty well in any room and has good far field microphones that were very good at hearing me. I found that the microphones were good but the responses to the commands were sometimes slightly delayed(only by a second or too, nothing major). It is a really good buy and I definitely recommend it.

Bit fiddly to connect but worth it
I bought two of these to combine with a soundbar into a surround system. It was fiddly trying to get them all connected using the app, and took a while, but it was successful in the end and the result is fantastic. The power and quality of sound from these speakers is really surprising for their size, and they work very well together into a surround system that truly gives spatial immersion when watching movies and playing games.

Great bday present!
I bought this product for my boyfriend for his bday. We’ve been using it for 3 weeks now and we’re super happy. The sound quality is amazing! Alexa is very well integrated and reacts to our calls whenever we need something from ‘her’. The amount of apps you can add to your Alexa is great but the sound quality from Sonos is mesmerising. I’ve never heard a speaker this good. You can feel the beats going through your body!

Stunning sound and quality!
Always wanted a Sonos speaker as they seemed to always sound good considering it is a stand alone speaker, not two creating stereo. I purchased this and was so amazed, I have since bought 3 more - one pair to link for true stereo, one for the dining room and one in my kitchen. The ability to play different music simultaneously to each unit, from one device is amazing, but I love having the whole house drowning in music!

Good value for money but a bit fiddly to setup
Can’t knock the sound quality for the price, overall a really good speaker. Setup is fairly simple if you’re just using it to beam music from your phone. Setting it up to use ‘Alexa’ is a bit of a pain (you need to do a fair amount of messing about in the Alexa app on your phone to activate Alexa on the speaker, it doesn’t work out of the box) Once done it’s all worked fine so overall really pleased.

Sonos for the win!
The Sonos wireless speaker is excellent. I'm an audio professional and sound quality is very important to me and I can say that the Sonos output is excellent and the best bang for your buck you will get at that price. The bass is well controlled and smooth and the top end sounds great and not harsh or 'tinny' like on other wireless speaker systems/radios. Very pleased with my purchase. I would recommend to anyone.

Good looking speaker and sound great
Definitely one of the best voice control speakers on the market. Has really good base and sound as expected from a sonos speaker. Has a very responsive Alexa voice activation, also has a very sleek design to make it look good no matter where it is put and very nice buttonless touch buttons which require a very light touch to operate volume and play and pause which I like. excellent speaker
initially sceptical about the quality of sound which could be produced from a small speaker. However after two weeks of ownership am delighted. I am now no longer considering purchasing separates to replace my old system to play my CD's. the links to streaming services is simple, including my old iTunes library. give it a try - you will be impressed!

Fantastic speaker for coffee table
This is a great speaker on its own or to sync with other sonos speakers. The sound is amazing and very clear and very loud if you wanted. The app makes the set up extremely easy and once connected streaming music is simple from mobiles. Also has amazon alexa built in so can be controlled through voice commands. There are touch controls on top as well

Excellent sound quality with Alexa convenience
Bought this to add to an existing Sonos set up so that I have sound in the kitchen. The quality is excellent, far better than the digital radio it replaces. I love having Alexa available in the kitchen, it is perfect for being able to change the music or the volume , or add something to my shopping list, when embroiled in cooking.....hands free!

Excellent Sound And Build Quality
Purchased two of these speakers to add to my current Sonos set up, speakers are very well built. Sound quality is amazing and it has Alexa built in! What else can you ask for. You can link this with other sonos speakers or keep in separate rooms and use the app to control all your music I would definitely recommend this speaker!

Fab Sonos Speaker!
The original Sonos One speaker was great. Now that Alexa has been added to it, it's got even better. Great sound quality, really easy to set-up and some to use. Link it to the Sonos app and you'll have a totally controllable smart speaker. It may be more expensive than some speakers, but spending the extra cash is well worth it!
