Sirui T-005RK T-0S Series Travel Tripod with B-00 Ball Head (Red, Aluminum)

Less is more
Your best tripod is the one you have with you. The T-025SK is almost always with me, in or on my small backpack or in my airline carry-on. In the 2 months since purchase from B&H have not once used my larger heavier tripods nor have I wished for them. Nor have I used any of my tabletop tripods which I used to tote for wildflowers close to ground. The Sirui goes as low and has broader more stable footprint. Next in line, up my tripod ladder... Super compact and lightweight!
I bought this tripod while visiting the B&H store in NYC. I was looking for a more compact tripod to carry with me in the city. As I was looking over the huge selection of tripods, I found this Sirui tripod. It immediately stood out because it was so small and once I picked it up, I was amazed at how little it weighed. After looking it over a bit, I put it back on the rack and found an employee to talk to. I told him I was looking for the best co... Show More

Perfect Travel Friendly Tripod
I travel extensively domestically and internationally to hard-to-reach locations requiring me to pack in. Since I shoot in dark conditions outdoors and indoors with fashion models, the use of a tripod is very helpful to allow low noise and low ISO settings. This tripod allows for easy travel under these conditions. The ARCA compatible mount allows me to quickly switch between a Spider Holster V2 and the tripod. I mainly shoot from low angles so d... Unconventional design that works
This is a great tripod for travel or macro (low to the ground) work. Beware, however, that although the center column is removable, it does not slide up and down between the legs. It has 2 sections to get you higher. To get lower, you need to unscrew the center column and mount the platform directly to the legs spider. If you need to quickly adjust the camera height, this can only be done at higher levels. The tripod is quite rigid. The only sq... Show More

Improved version of the older model
Great tripod, very light and is rock solid. I can hold my Canon 6d with any regular lenses. Haven't tried with large telephotos yet. Any shaking is only noticeable at longer focal lengths and is dampened within 2-3 seconds. Ballhead is excellent, and very strong for its size. My one big complaint is that like with most Sirui ballheads, the Quick Release clamp is not the best, and removing it to swap for another clamp is a big headache. The head has non-standard teeth that prevent a mounted clamp from rotating, so using most 3rd party clamps isn't possible without some DYI modifications.

Not what advertised
Tripod is well built. It would not make a good tripod for a heavy camera. I use it with a Sony a5100. The head pans smoothly. The materials appear to be better then average. My gripe is that in the description, they show the tripod to weigh 2 pounds even. This tripod, without bag, weighs 2lbs 8ozs. That is quite a big difference, especially if you are buying because of its light weight. It is not a deal breaker for me....just a slight disappointment. B and H needs to make sure their descriptions are more accurate in the future FYI.

Excellent value for money
I just found this compact, lightweight and reasonably priced travel tripod for my Fujifilm x100f and even my Fujifilm xh-1 sits comfortably. I have been a Manfrotto user for more than 25 years but the world is changing and other brands have catched up. Its very light, small and a very well designed tripod. I was about to buy the Gitzo traveller tripod but when i bumped into this Sirui, I just cant believe how well it was designed and well built. And it is only 1/4 price of a Gitzo tripod. I highly recommend this tripod.

Great Travel Tripod
I bought this Tripod because I got tired of carrying my full size RRS Tripod around on long trips. Its small, lightweight, and fits in a normal size backpack. With 30 second night exposures, it produces excellent pictures that are tack sharp and crisp. Im using a Canon 6d and 16-35mm. The only negatives are if youre in a windy area, it can can vibrate a tad, even with weighing it down. But if youre in a windy area, all lightweight tripods are going to vibrate some. Buy a full size Tripod if thats going to be a concern.

Good travel tripod
I got this tripod for when I can't carry my full sized Induro tripod. It folds down small enough to fit in a carry-on bag. The leg locks work well and seem pretty solid. This is not a tripod for a large, heavy camera/lens combination, and it does not extend quite high enough for me not to have to bend over a bit to use it (I'm 5'8). But as long as you understand the limitations, it is very useful for those times you don't need a full sized rig or are going on a quick trip with a light camera.

Nice small tripod
As described. It is lightweight and short when folded up (12). It's stability is fine for it's size. I'll be using it with a Olympus Four Thirds system, so excessive imbalance or weight is not an issue. After a previous tripod with clip grip legs, I prefer the twist grips. The ball head is taking a bit to get used to, but I have a small level on the camera itself . Wish their was also a level on the ball head bracket.

Incredibly small, lightweight and capable!
The Sirui T-25SK is the perfect compact travel tripod. Perfect for hiking and traveling that folds down to about 12. I paired this with my A7III + Tamron 28-75 f/2.8 and Sony 16-35 f/4 without any issues. It also attached to the bottom of my Peak Design Sling. If youre searching for a perfect lightweight/travel tripod, look nowhere else.

very lightweight but performs well
I was afraid that this tripod would wilt under the weight of my Mark iv and 70-200 zoom. It holds pretty steady and because it is so light I end up taking it along when I would have forgone a tripod in the past. For me the reduced weight was the difference between using a tripod or not.

High Quality
Weighs 2.0lb with ballhead, so very good for travel. Smooth and quality feel all around. But it would lose a little stability with a heavy DSLR, especially since I couldn't see a way to lower the center column to under 10 inches. Make sure you're Ok with the short height.

Good price did a solid tripod
Very happy with this tripod so far. The only reason that I did not give it 5 stars is the inability to move the center pole up and down within the system beyond the small section adjustment. Overall a great lightweight tripod especially for the $$.

Broke the first time of use
Hi Folks this is not strong enough for basic photography.. the first time i used it. one of the poles bent and was not able to go back in until alot of effort.. So I return it. I would recommend to go for a carbon fiber tripod.. thanks

Cheap travel tripod!
Very disappointed. Its not stable at all. Worse than the one I already have, but lightweight and can easily carry around. Its better if you remove the main center column. Need to take pictures with the timer to avoid shakes.

So light and compact
Best compact tripod I have seen so far. I had an aluminum Sirui model that I use for regular work but this one I got for travel. When folded it is perfect for a backpack. So light and easy to setup.

Great pick
I dont often carry a tripod because of the weight. I expect to take this one with me much more often. It is wonderfully small and light. The quality looks really excellent.

Very Good For Traveling Tripod
I love the tripod because it's weight is less than 2 Lbs and can be folded to less than 11 inches. I can put it in my messenger bag. Love it.

Love this little tripod. Finally, a tripod that is light enough lug around all day. At 2.2 lbs., I am very pleased.
