Sigma 10-20mm f/3.5 EX DC HSM Lens for Pentax K

Good Price, Excellent Performance
Although I really haven't put this lens through its paces fully, so far I'm very happy with it. I've been able to do wide spacious interiors that are crisp and have practically no barrel or spider-web distortion. At 20mm I've seen some chromatic aaberation in the corners, bu that's easily correctible. Can't wait to get it out to the mountains!!

Very Good Lens
I rented the Canon 10-22 mm from lensrentals.com. Itwas a great lens. I did a lot of reading and bought the Sigma 3.5. It too is a great lens & is cheaper than the Canon. I noticed some darkened edges if I was shooting in low light. I know the word for it and didn't remember how to spell it. At any rate I like the lens and would buy it again.

Excellent lens
You'll get frustrated with the lens hood at first. You'll just have to slow down to get it on. There's no fast way. The autofocus can be a tad slow at times. When shooting multiple shots, I'll often get the 1st focus, then lock it in manual mode. The optics are excellent. This is a great lens. Use F8-11. Good build. It's a pro quality lens.

changing my previous rating
I previously posted a one star review for this lens because it would not open up to 3.5. Max aperture seemed to be 4.0. Well now I've discovered that somehow the settings on my Canon 7d Mark II limited the range of any lens to 4.0-32. Now that I've gotten rid of this restriction, the lens works great. My apologies to Sigma & this product!

Great lens
I have a Sigma 17-125mm on a Nikon D70, I like it as an everyday lens. But miss the super wide lenses from my 35mm film days. This lens (10-20mm) is great, 15 to 30mm full frame equivalence. At 10mm pepole are distorted at the edge of the frame, but at least they are in the shot. This may be my new every day lens, especially indoors.

My 1st UWA
This is my 1st ultra-wide angle lens. I have no regrets I selected it, quite the contrary. Although I've only had a short time to put it through its paces, I'm impressed thus far. Some might consider it heavy but it is solid and I appreciate that. This is my 2d lens, and certainly not the last I will invest in for my Pentax bodies.

Highly Recommended
I use this for taking those intimate pictures of life. I love the perspective it gives on my images coupled with a unique camera angle. Image quality is excellent and yes at 10mm you do get a slight fish eye appearance but it works well. The auto focus is quiet and fast. The lens hood and case that comes with the lens is a plus.

Good but not great
This is a solid lens, and at 10mm is especially nice. Minor distortion at the edges. Captures beautiful color. Personally the Tokina 11-16mm was more suited to my needs, since it has a wider f/2.8 better for indoors. But if all you need is the f/3.5, and the longer zoom range to 20mm, the Sigma could be a good option.

Exactly what I expected
First off, I'm an amateur when it comes to videography/photography, however, that being said, this lens definitely fulfilled my expectations. I love the wide angle shots it takes and do not see much curvature at all when completely zoomed out. I have no regrets at all! On the contrary, I'm very happy I bought it.

much needed focal length
For my 7D, this was a much needed focal length. The one drawback for me has been the focus ring - not as smooth as I would like for video purposes, but I'm getting use to it. For stills it's great. 3.5 constant aperture is nice - one of the other reasons I chose it. Also the min focus distance has come in handy

Really Awesome Lens
I love this lens. It goes really wide and has a nice zoom range. It feels pretty sturdy and heavy. It focuses quickly. And the distortion is very minimal. However, I feel like it has a bit too much chromatic aberration. And the focus isn't too sharp at the edges. But otherwise, it's a really great lens.

Very nice addition to kit
Very crisp fast focus. Glass is high quality and mechanics are rock solid. Focus and zoom rings are tight enough to stay where you put them without being too tight for fast movement. If I really had to dig for a negative it would be the lens cap, somewhat hard to get it on right, especially in a hurry.

Great lens for mid wide angle
Using this lens for landscape is a added dimension to wide angles. Keeping the lens within its sweet spot helps, 14 to 18. At 10mm it is soft on the edges, but can be cropped to produce very good photos. At 20mm, it is not as good as when in the sweet spot. Overall, a very good wide angle for price.

gets the job done
Got this to replace my Sigma 10-20 4-5.6 which I've had for number of years. I swing for the local newspaper chain and the older lens, while good, limited my ambient light shooting indoors without flash. The new lens is faster, at f 3.5, and works great. Quick to focus, better contrast and color.

Amazing Wide angle & Cheap Lense
Just wanted to buy a wide angle lens for close-up and landscape photography. After reading good reviews about it, ordered it and received very next day. Have only tried for one day, but already impressed with the result. It can also work as macro lens as can focus the minimum distance of few cms.

Very Good Lens
I recently purchased this lens to work on projects hat required a wide angle lens, and i must say I am very please with my purchase. I have not used it extensively but have taken in the region of 100 photographs and the sharpness has been amazing with no noticeable negative photographic effects.

Not bad...
After doing a lot of research and reading some online comparisons, I decided to give the Sigma 10-20mm lens a try. So far I'm not disappointed.... There is some softness in the extreme corners but the rest is nice and sharp. Any other issues are easily fixed in post. I'm happy with the purchase.

Yes I would buy this lens again, great for wide shots!
I bought this lens to use for wide angel shots at concerts and it works great. It takes in a lot of light allowing me to shoot in really low light conditions and there is no distortion in the image. This lens has allowed me a whole new option other than just close-up shots. Highly recommended!

Just what I wanted for travel
I've traveled to Europe several times and I travel light, one camera and one lens. I've carried a 17-55 2.8 before. I always felt I needed just a little more wide angle so I got this lens. I've tried it out of course and can't wait to use it in Yosemite this summer and Turkey this fall.

Wider than expected applications!
Giving you the feel of an FX on a DX body is the best way I can describe this incredible lens. For those really wide shots you've been missing, this is the lens to capture sharp images indoors and out. The f3.5 is bright enough for most applications, particularly outdoors of course.

Love this lens!
This lens is outstanding. The pictures I get from this lens just give me that warm fuzzy feeling because I didn't think the picture would look THAT nice. However, I do not find much use out of it since it is a wide angle. I do not have any problems with it though. Highly recommend!

Holy C&%# ! That's wide!
This lens is fun! Used for landscapes, interiors, and crazy distortion. Solid construction, great glass, very nice feel to zoom and focus rings. Bought this lens to extend my kit from 10mm to 400mm. Verrry wide, takes some getting used to having so much in the finder to look at!
