Love it
This is a very nice, sterty tripod. The weight concerned me at first, but it really isn't that bad. Although, I would be hesitant to take it on a long hike.

Exactly what I wanted and expected
I bought this to replace my cheapo Manfrotto tripod, which was blown over by the wind during a long exposure. This tripod is an excellent replacement, it's much more stable, and the ability to spread the legs out extra-wide lets me get the camera very low to the ground with excellent stability. Great Tripod
Great tripod for landscape and nature photography, my last two tripods were flimsy (insert name brand store here) tripods that didn't support a lot of weight and felt like they would fall over if I sneezed. This tripod is rock solid and can shoot from almost any angle imaginable and super light.

Great Product and Upgrade

Good Ball Head
Very light and small enough to take on my hikes! Very easy to use and holds my D700 rock steady. I would recommend it to anyone needing a lightweight solution.

Good quality
I have used it serveral times so far and it make useing my tripod a breeze. It is very easy to put my camera on and off the tripod. I take mostly wildlife photo's while I drive around different place so my camera is in and out of the case a lot. When I make a day of shooting it is not as important. But when I'm in and out of the car it is. I'm very satified with my purchase. Jim

Solid tripod - good value
I've been using this tripod for the past month. It's fairly stable and the ball head is very smooth. One downside is that there isn't a separate lock for the ball position and head swivel. The four-section legs allow the tripod to compact enough to fit into a backpack.

Decent, but not perfect
This is my first ball head, so I don't have much to compare it to. Overall, I am pleased with the item. On the plus side, it feels well built and is very versatile in positioning. The only negatives are that it's a bit confusing at first which knob does what (learnable) and that to mount it to the camera an allen-wrench is required.. so that means there is one more thing that needs to be in my bag... I have a replacement thumb screw on the way though, so hopefully that'll fix all!

Good Tripod for the $$$
Bought this for my amateur photographer wife. Solid tripod, holds her small Samsung mirroless DSLR well. Easy to adjust legs. Goes low and high enough for her. Ball head has no separate pan lock, one lever controls pan and tilt. My mistake, did not notice that when I purchased it but the ball head is solid and holds the camera well. Over all, good tripod for the money.

I Like It!
Only giving four stars because this is my first ball head, and I do not have anything to compare it to. It seems very solid, well built and is easy to use. The arca-type quick release plate is solid, easy to use and compatible with many other plates of this type. In short, I like it a lot. Wish I had gotten one sooner.

Great Trepod
I'm going out on a limb here and giving five stars. Just out of the box and barely used it definitely deserves four stars. Time and it's durability will show whether it truly deserves five. The 39lb capacity is probably over-kill, but experience with cheaper aluminum tripods made me want something more solid.

Great Tripod
This is a great ball Tripod for the price. It's very well built and solid construction. The ball head is easy to adjust and remove the camera fast with the quick release lever. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a great tripod that doesn't break through bank.

Great Solid Quality Tripod
I ordered this tripod sight unseen and I couldn't be more pleased. It's solid and much better quality than I expected at this price range. The case that comes with it fits the tripod with the ball head attached easily. The bag is heavy duty with large zippers and comes with a nice shoulder strap. I couldn't be happier!

Great Value
It is a great first step up to a real set up. The only negative: a tight fit into the carry bag for my new Oben carbon fiber sticks. Well worth the hassle.

Love this tripod
Brought this as a backpacking/travel tripod and can't be more pleased with it. I mounted a Vanguard BBH-100 head on it and it is light weight, compact, yet strong enough to support my Nikon D800 with a varity of lenses. The tripod does have limitations, but is perfect for what I need it for. It comes with a carrying case that has both handles and a sling that protects it and works great for carrying it on our back or onto an airplane.

Easy to Adjust, Relatively Stable
For the price, this is an excellent tripod. Stable, easy to adjust, and durable. The ballhead takes a bit of getting used to since there is naturally a bit of camera drop once you tighten the screw as you let go of the camera weight onto the tripod. Also very light with a good, durable case--I took it on a snowshoeing backpacking trip and had no issues.

Overall I found this to be a nice tripod. For the price, it is nice and stable, and I like the ability to lower the legs and have the camera beneath for macro shots. The legs are sturdy and easy to set. I was a little disappointed in two things, which results in the four stars instead of the five (I'd probably give a three and a half if I could). Strong sturdy and well built
I Dont know much about Ballheads. I bought this one as it was the best looking deal. I use it with a 500 f/4 and smaller and it functions great. I plan to add a wimberley sidekick to it soon. All in all its great.

The complete package
I'm a photo enthusiast that loves to do night photography, both land and sky, and this tripod is perfect for that job. I also do macro photography and the multi-position legs at different angles allow me to get those low shots that were very difficult for me previously.

Good all purpose tripod mount
Great mount for fixing the camera to a tripod in low or no light situations plus the ability to go to a 90 degree shot is great. The mount also allows the perfect 360 degree panoramic shots and the levels on it are handy as well.
