Great camera with impressive focus in low light
This is my first FX body, and coming up from a D5100, I found that several features took a bit of getting used to, such as dedicated AF mode buttons and switch rather than the use of a UI. Following these however, I have found the camera to be much easier to do what I want with less need to go through the UI for access to many settings (This includes ISO and burst / timer access). Video is great, with options for up to 1080p at 60fps (high and no... Show More

You shouldn't need another review but here it is.
I bought this 10 months ago and I've waited to post a review. This is a fantastic camera. Sure the D500 is newer and has more focus points but heck, I don't use all the focus points that the D750 has. Sure the D500 fires off more pics even faster, but again, I don't have that need. The D750 shoots plenty fast for me. I came from a D5000 and I wanted the full frame because I shoot a lot of indoor sports and I wanted to let in as much light as poss... Show More

A very good full-frame DSLR for advanced photo hobbyists
I am an amateur photographer and occasional videographer. I don't intend to use this camera professionally (although people do). The feature set is typical mid-level DSLR, the overall quality is good, while the owner's manual is below average (Nikon's poor documentation is the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars). This camera was a replacement for my trusty Canon 60D. Any of the current crop of full-frame DSLRs were a huge step up from my 60D. W... Show More

Great pictures, poor autofocus performance in mixed light
I do street photography where light is always changing and some scenes are partially lit and partially in shadow. You also often have to get a shot off fast because the scene is always changing. I shot with a D7100 for almost 2 years before upgrading to the D750. I rarely if ever encountered an autofocus issue no matter what lens I was using. Since I got the D750 (about 2 weeks and 2,000 shots ago), I've had nothing but problems with autofocus. A... Show More

Appropriately classified
This is not my first D750. I recently purchased this one as I was and am quite satisfied with my earlier purchase. Calling the D750 a Prosumer fits it just right. It performs very well but does lack some features I would like to see included. I have been using my D700, which is a pro model. I have moved to the D750 because I now prefer to travel light, and the D750 is noticeably lighter. In addition, sensor has double the ppi as the D700. I ... Show More

Lean, Mean, Picture-taking Machine
I'm a wedding/portrait photographer and also make promotional videos and short films, so I got this camera for both photography and videography. So far, it's a beast at both. It's so small and lightweight, but the deep grip makes it feel very secure in the hand. I use a Holdfast Moneymaker strap system, so sometimes I don't have the camera attached and it therefore has no strap, but it feels very secure in my hand. The pop-out screen is a great f... D-750 vs the D-700 ( totally different
I just got the camera from B&H via UPS overnight WOW. #1. First impression, is not so good for me. Remember this review is based on comparing the 700 vs 750. I have been using three D700's body's over (6) years plus. I have big man hands, so making the D750 smaller is not what I was looking for in a new camera body. The camera is just to small for me without the use of the vertical grip, (witch is an additional Big expense for the nikon grip.(Also... Fenomenal Equipment
This is a fenomenal camera. I've been a professional photographer for 8 years now - I've used every Canon and Nikon DSLR that has come out since, as well as most of the big sensor mirrorless cameras (Sony's, Fuji's, Panasonic's, and Olympus' mostly). I own a photo production agency and we own a ton of photo gear. For all of us there the D750 is the best all around camera. We use D800's and D810's for a lot of studio work, but we much prefer D750'... Show More

Novice Photographer / great camera!
As stated above, I'm a novice photographer and asked my pro photographer friends which camera I should buy. They pointed to the D750, I've used it for 10 days thus far and can't seem to put it down. My 5 year old is tired of Dad taking pictures of her, but she'll certainly appreciate it later in life. These moments are precious and I'm thankful to capture them in such high quality! A Fine Machine
I finally decided to substitute a D750 for my nine-year-old D3, which seemed to gain weight every time I took it to a shoot. I could have used my D800 in place of the D3, but at 36+ mpx, handling and storing large numbers of D800 files can become tedious. The D750 is a fine intermediate substitute for the heavy D3 (or D4 or D5) and the storage-hungry D800 or D810. Making the switch from a professional Nikon to the D750 isn't difficult. You can ig... Excellent Full Frame Transition from Crop Sensor
The $1,300 price drop was what enabled me to even consider a full frame camera. I upgraded from a D7200 to the D750 and will never, EVER go back to a crop frame sensor. The layout and menu navigation of the two cameras are nearly identical, so the learning curve was minimal. Yes, the number of megapixels are the same, but the pixels are much larger in the 750 which means this thing is amazing in low light/high ISO situations. I have no substantia... Show More

worth it at lower price
I have been using a D700 (FX format) with a long list of Nikon lens, flashes and accessories collected since first converting to Nikon with a F100 back in 1999. I waited a long time to "upgrade" from the D700 because it was a great camera in its own right and the "upgrade" required a different battery, a different battery charger, a different remote cable connection, and a lot of money for a few more pixels that I wasn't sure I needed. So instead... Show More

I would buy the Nikon D750 again
This is my second Nikon D750. I would describe myself as an advanced amateur photographer. I have been using Nikon cameras since 1971 when I purchased my first Nikon camera and lenses. I used my photography to break from the norm and do slide presentations for use at grower meetings throughout the mid-Atlantic states to promote new technologies in agricultural chemicals. I found that the presentations provided by corporate did not meet the needs ... Show More

An amazing camera that is also great value
I just upgraded from an APSC Sony to the Nikon D750 full-frame. I've wanted to take the leap for a long time and finally pulled the trigger. The D750 is truly a gem and provides the kind of value that's hard to find. I realize it's a few years old, but the features, low-light and high-iso quality, coupled with the full-frame sensor, make it almost timeless. In addition, going from convoluted Sony menus--which I've been using for ten years--is ref... Show More

Nikon D750 -- Bleeping Awesome Camera
I've been using a D5200 ASP-C camera for a while now and dabbling with the idea of full frame. When Nikon dropped the prices $ on 1/31/16, I finally decided to make this wise purchase.First impression is that this camera with 24-120 mm f/4 kit lens is a tad heavy (3.5 lbs) coming from a D5200, but after using it a few days, I hardly notice it. My first full frame... and I love it!
I do wildlife photography (especially birds) and always thought that FX was the way to go because of the crop factor. A professional photographer friend, who also specializes in birds, uses FX and recommended the D750. I decided to go for it. And couldn't be happier. I don't normally write product reviews, but I just got my new 750 and after 100 shots, I am very impressed with the lens combo, once the camera was set up. This camera fits the hand very well and feels very robust and sturdy. I looked at the D810, but for the type of pictures I am interested in, the D750 fit the bill. No regrets, the best Nikon I could have upgraded to
Upgraded from a D5100. It served me well for years and was my first foray into digital (refused to give up the film ghost). The 5100 was great and for all purposes, is more than anyone really needs...until you need to access settings quickly. The D750 has been a welcomed change for me. The U1 and U2 settings are amazing and makes it very easy to store favorite subject settings and switch with a turn of the dial. Plus, allowing any changes you wan... Show More

Outstanding camera!
I started digital photography with a Nikon D7000, then decided to try a body that produced less image noise and was full frame and tried a D610. The D610 solved my image noise woes but it tended to over expose quite a bit. Then I read about the D750 and the better AF system compared to the D610 and how good it was for wildlife photography and decided to give it a try, and I'm glad I did. I find the AF much better than the D610, with more in focus... Show More

First off, let me say that I've always been so happy ordering from B&H. Always reliable! Whenever I make big investments like this camera, I always choose a company I can trust to order my products. The D750 is INCREDIBLE, especially to be a semi-pro DSLR. I went back and forth a lot between this and the D810, but ultimately chose the D750.
