Best Camera for the Right Price
First off, this camera is wonderful. I recently upgraded from a Nikon D5500 after 2 years. The differences in these cameras is astounding (not to knock the D5500). The main reason was for full frame, but I got much more than that. The image quality is overall better, even with the same megapixel count (really only helps for larger prints). I shoot mostly landscapes and just started with real estate photography as well, and this camera excels at t... Show More

Loved the rental version. The new one, inconsistent focus.
After having rented a D750, I was very impressed with its ability to focus on faces, the speed of its autofocus, and the lessened noise at higher ISOs than my D610. I also very much appreciated the ability to do the focus check with one press rather than the multiple button presses on the D610. Unfortunately the copy I bought would focus inconsistently (some pictures would be in focus, others would not be in focus at the focus point, but the plan... Show More

Great balance of IQ / performance and price
I have the D700 and later bought the Df, both great cameras that give me the high speed (in the D700) and in low light / high ISO performance (in the Df s 16Mp sensor). I was looking for an upgrade from the D700 / Df and was ready to pick up the D810. However, the D810 s 36Mp is way more resolution than I need or want and the more than $1000 higher price tag than the D750 led me to picking up this 24Mp model. I have now used the D750 enough to sa... Show More

Impressive
In one word - Impressive! I have shot with the D700 for the past 4 year (and currently still do) but decided to buy my wife her first dSLR. I was looking for a body that would work nice for her to learn on but also that I could use for professional shoots. After using it for the past 2 weeks, I can see myself using this more then my D700 (wedding, street, and landscape photography). The high ISO capability is amazing, the fast focusing (even in l... D750 is a Great Camera
I used this camera for a full week immediately after its release at Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. I found it to be extremely reliable and capable. The camera body is actually slightly smaller than my D600, but I found it very handy from an ergonomic point of view. I took daylight and night mountain pictures and the camera and processor handled both beautifully and efficiently. I also took videos and found that camera produced videos... Show More

The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly The D750's 24mp sensor, the tilting monitor, separate connector covers, and the built-in Wi-Fi, and the wireless remote shutter release are, IMHO, good features of the camera. The not so good are the lack of a viewfinder curtain, the square viewfinder, it's square eye cup, and the attendant inability to attach screw-in accessories to it without an adapter, the lack of a rear AF-ON button, and the not so quiet quite... Great camera in general
As an amateur photographer, I find this camera a great piece of equipment. On the positive side - It is reasonably light, pleasure to handle, makes great pictures. So far there is no support by the Lightroom or IPhoto for its raw format, so one has to use the native app. Support for PS is available in release candidate of the raw converter. I guess I will have to wait some time until raw support is fully implemented. There is wi-fi support but a ... Show More

Great DSLR!
I upgraded my Canon 30D DSLR to Nikon D750. I waited for 7D Mark II for several years. By the time it came out, there were 6D and 5D Mark III full frame DSLRs. They were both too expensive with L lenses last year, so I waited another year for follow on DSLR of 7D. By the time 7D Mark II came out, full frame Nikon D750 was just out with improvements from Nikon D610. With 3 canon lenses I have, I could have stayed with canon and got 7D Mark II, but... Show More

D750 instead of the D810
Bought the D810 with 24-120 and ended up exchanging for the D750 with the same lens. Where the D810 was a super configurable camera it just wasn't easy for me to quickly change shooting modes. I already have a camera that needs some special considerations, a Sony A7r, and really wanted a faster camera that was more like my K3. 10 minutes out of the box with the D750 and I was in shutter priority taking flashless pictures inside the house. The mod... Show More

overall good camera, but a few annoying things
On paper the D750 is a great camera. Good spectral range, good low-light ability, etc. And it's a full-frame sensor. For the price that is what you are getting. But... The D700 has a small curtain in the viewfinder you can deploy with the flip of a switch when doing remote photography. It's great. Why didn't they put that on the D750? Instead you have to fumble with a clip-on plastic thing. They changed the form factor of the battery. Why? The ba... Show More

IMHO The best value on the market.
This camera has brought a phenomenal number of features to a stunning price point. The low light performance is phenomenal - although the 5d mark iii may have less ISO noise at higher ISO levels, I've found that I can under expose my footage at a lower ISO value on the D750, then still have plenty of information in the RAW file's shadows to increase the exposure in post and maintain a clearer image than the higher ISO 5D mkiii. The autofocus is p... Show More

Interesting
First I have to say I do love the B&H experience. From there website to talking with the guys in house. Great job. I have a Nikon d5000 and love it it had 11 focus points. I shot raw and and had some pretty big files. I bought the d750. Bought the d7200 but wife asked why not the better one so I switched cameras in transit. not sure why she said that Or even why I switched. I like the camera a lot. It feels good in my small hands and dwarfs the d... Show More

Great body, disappointing lens
I purchased the kit to save money over purchasing the lens and body separately and because the lens and body had received good reviews. I agree that the body is a solid performer but the lens is all but unusable when fitted to the D750. The only reason that Im not returning the kit is because the 24-120 works on my old D200 which is my keep in the car camera instead of relying on a cell phone for those chance photos. Through my testing, I found t... Show More

My fourth Nikon since 1968 and my first Fx.
After using a Nikkormat 35mm, Nikon Ftn 35mm, and Nikon D80 DSLR, I moved up to the semi-pro D750 DSLR Fx. The Nikon D750 has settings for anything photographic that I can imagine. The User's Manual is 506 pages! For ease of operation, it has an Auto function and several Scene functions, plus the M, A, S, & P, functions of most other DSLRs, so prior learning carries forward. You just have to learn new controls to adjust what you have used before.... Show More

Fantastic camera ab lens kit BUT...
I wanted to upgrade to a fixed aperture zoom with a D750. I had the 24-85mm f3.5-4.5 kit lens which in its own right is a fantastic light-weight lens. The 24-70 f2.8 was a little short as an every day lens for me and not necessarily affordable. The 24-120 f4 on the other hand was and seemed perfect - for me. It's heavier than the 24-85 but not nearly as much as the 24-70. Performance out the box was very good but wasn't 'blow me away' great. My i... Show More

Very Impressive Camera
Had used my D70 as the primary work camera journalism for nearly 10 years. It still works perfectly and takes nice images, but it was getting long in the tooth. The D750 is such a powerful tool that it seems to come from another universe. Since I haven't had a chance to really wring it out yet I decided as an initial test to simply shoot everything hand held w the selector set on auto. Results so far have been amazing. Not good enough
I bought this camera and lens to travel lighter and take to a long trip to China and Tibet next week. I wanted to replace my Nikon D810 and a couple of 2.8 zooms to make my bag lighter. The tested both extensively and reached the following conclusions: The camera takes great photos, excellent in low light and at higher ISO's, but under normal circumstances it cannot compete with the D810. It is weights a bit less, but not enough to justify the ch... Show More

Great grip for a small hand
Upgraded about a month ago from a D90 to the D750 as my first full-frame DSLR. Was eyeing full frames for awhile but concerned about added weight and handling of the bigger cameras. The size of the D750 compared to other Nikon full-frames convinced me to go for it. Amazed at how well it fits my small hand; though a little heavier than the D90 it handles well when cradling the lens (24-85mm f/3.5-4.5G ED VR) with my left hand as one should for goo... Show More

I will not repeat all the great features of the 750, just will say that from an amateurs perspective for someone wanting to go FF, this is a great option. I went with the kit ... Show More

I finally stepped up to an FX camera from a Nikon 5100 DX. First thing that impressed me about the kit was that all the details were there: lens hood, soft pouch and caps. Since I had all my other accessories from my DX, I had nothing else to buy. Big bonus is that this camera will work with every Nikon mountable lens I have, even my fully manual non auto focus AI lens. I debated this purchase for a long time. This really pushed my financial limit, but it has been a while since I got my D200. I spent a lot of time debating the D750, D500, and Sony A7II. No regrets going FX. Love it! Reminds me of that look and feel of my F100. May miss the DX when I am shooting my sons sports, but I can always crop it. If you go DX the D500 is pretty sweet. D750 performs
Still getting used to this camera. I do like the group focus points (had this years ago on a Canon 7D), but Nikon took its time. Though focus is accurate and fast (using 70-200VR, 24-85 VR, and any other Nikkor lens), the focus points on the D750 are much too centered to the field if view and nearly always require a focus lock and recomposing to get the shot right. Why this is not a deal breaker, it is very disappointing. One thing I did find use... Show More
