Best DSLR right now
When I bought this camera I had very high expectations: solid build, very good ergonomics, excellent battery life, and amazing still and video capabilities. I need a camera that can sort of do it all right now. I would say the D750 has met me 90% of the way. The other 10% that's missing: even wider AF points with more cross-types, 1/8000 shutter speed, and still no focus peaking. Can I live without them- definitely yes for now. The 90% I do like:... First Full Frame Sensor DSLR
I upgraded from the D7000 to the D750 about 6 months ago and have now used it enough to write a review. I consider myself to be an advanced enthusiast - I do not make my living as a photographer. The menu set up is similar to the D7000, but more extensive. There are many items in the menu that I do not currently have a use for. There is a noticeable increase in image quality compared to the D7000 - I always shoot NEF files and process them as JPE... Show More

Nikon misnamed the D750
The Nikon D750 is a remarkable camera, but Nikon misnamed it. The overall package has little in common with the D700. The D750 should have been named the D650, as it is basically a D600/610 with better features. I have owned a D700 for the last nine years. The D700 is a professional package that fits my hand like a glove. Each button has one function and the layout is excellent and easy to use. I have not had any problems with the D700, but since... Full Frame Classic
I'm a casual shooter but have had a lot of experience working with raw files from cameras like Phase Ones and the D810 so my expectations and demands are very high even for a personal camera. After two years with a Sony a6000 and a variety of e-mount lenses rented or purchased I was ready to step up to something in the prosumer arena for higher dynamic range and faster focus. I found the Sony offerings to be a less than desirable user experience ... Show More

Not Quite What I Was Looking For
I'm the team photographer for all three of my boy's lacrosse teams and have been using a D7200 with Nikkor AF-S DX 18-300mm lens for the past 5 years--a setup that I have absolutely loved, but found earlier this summer that I was reaching max shutter life and the quality and sharpness of my photos were beginning to look quite poor. Even after conditioning the camera and lens, I decided on acquiring a newer camera, and after tons of research I set... Show More

Enjoying What I'm Seeing So Far
I began my photography enthusiast journey with a SLR back in the 90s. I loved the manual control for all the same reasons as every other photographer, but I was discouraged by the size and amount of equipment I had to lug around as a traveler. I couldn't simply hand my camera to a passerby to a selfie with my significant other, and it was too much to lug around to parties. I made the switch to high-end point and shoots that offered manual control... Show More

Best camera for the price and great all around lens!
I've been researching the Nikon D750 for a few years now... since it came out but was a little scared to spend the money. I am so glad that I did and I am so glad that I got the bundle! This camera was one of the best available when it first came out and I believe that reputation still stands today. It is an amazing camera with an incredible dynamic range, ease of use and functions. First event shot with the Nikon D750
I have had this camera body for about three weeks now and i have shot i event ( a boxing event with twelve three round bouts). I used the Nikon battery grip and a Nikon 28-300 3.5-5.6, using auto iso and camera set to manual. The event started during day light and went into the late evening. I found the body to be comfortable throughout the event and had no hand fatigue (6 hour event shooting through the ropes). The camera handled great in portra... Show More

Thank you Nikon!!
My first camera was the Nikon D700, and at the time, coming from a Canon 5D Mark I, it was a big upgrade in terms of ISO performance and autofocus. Since then I have either owned or used the D600, D800, and D3s. My husband has the D4, I have used that as well. I can talk about all the same things everyone else is. The reviews are all true, it's an amazing camera with GREAT features. BUT let me talk about one feature that I feel is not boated abou... Show More

Dark Viewfinder, Malfunctioning Display, Bizarre Menu
I shoot events, portraits, and general PJ work. It's got lots of neat gizmos and features, which Nikon fanboys (along with their Windows PC cousins) love to tout on forums. Truth is, it's an awful camera that has been embroidered with lots of tech. I shot Nikon back in the D2X days. I hated it, but it was my company's cam, so I dealt with it. With all the rave reviews I had high hopes about the D750. First thing I noticed was the toy-like size an... Show More

I can't picture a better camera.
I have read alot of reviews about this camera. I have had my eye on a full frame camera for some time and was looking into the D610 and the D800/810. I'm very happy to have picked this camera. It is everything that I need and then some. I have used both the D600 and D800 in the past and both of them are great cameras. I definately enjoyed the pictures I've taken with the D800. I just didn't like the file sizes associated with it. I realize this c... Show More

The D750 May Be Nikon's Best Ever DSLR
The D750 is, well, a real pleasure to have, and use. I'd tried a D750 which came with the 24-120mm kit lens, but didn't like the images the combo produced. So, I returned the combo, ordered a D750 body only, and the Nikon 50mm f1.4. What a difference in image quality, camera-lens balance, and the overall shooting experience! It gave me pretty much the same 'feelings' I had during the almost 40 years I used a Canon FT 35mm film body, with a 50mm f... Show More

Awesome camera and lens combo
My wife and I have had several point-and-shoot cameras over the years and have always had an interest in photography but never realized how much fun we could have until we purchased this camera and lens kit. Being new to advanced photography (meaning stepping up to camera bodies with removable lenses) we had, and still have, a lot of learning to do but this camera is awesome. After watching LOTS of how-to videos and reading a lot of information ... Show More

Show More

Yep, it's a great camera, wait .. I already said that once.
Wrote a couple lines when I received it, now that I've had it nearly a week thought I'd update that a smidge. This camera is amazing. It has changed the way I feel about FX cameras. It feels right in my hands, it's well balanced, it creates amazing images regardless of the light. I'm a Nikon guy, so the controls are familiar to me. That's a HUGE plus not having to figure out where something is in the heat of the moment. Least it is for me. I've h... Show More

Excellent Nikon FX option under $
It was time to upgrade from my Nikon D90. Instead of doubling down on another DX format camera as the D7200 or pending D500, I decided to upgrade to a FX full frame camera body. The D750 fits the bill as it was in budget for the body & nice 24-120 kit lens. Continuous auto-focus is extremely fast and shutter release is buttery smooth. The 24-120mm f4 lens is an all around carry lens with very sharp at F8 which I shoot most often. I use single poi... Show More

Amazing Camera
The quality of the images this camera produce are fantastic. The camera is light and I'm able to grip it well. I normally have to carry a camera for over 10 hours a day, so the lightweight is a plus. Depending the lens, you should be able to capture sharp images. I am blown away by the dynamic range of an image with a properly exposed photo. There are many good things to say about this camera. I love the autofocus, the weight, the grip, the features. Having owned and used a D800 (my first Nikon coming from the Canon world), D600, a D7100 DF, and a D810, this camera is in my opinion the best overall camera Nikon produces for any photographer who does a wide variety of work. The controls and layout is nearly identical to the D7100, so if you're upgrading like I did you won't have trouble adjusting, just a few more menus and features that the APS-C Nikon cameras do not have. I was a little nervous when I first bought this. This was a big step up from the nikon d3300, and I was concerned that the steep increase in price point would not reflect in quality. That fear has been alleviated. My dark shots used to be so grainy that anything above 1600 iso looked like sand paper. I upgraded from a D5000 to the D750 and have been delighted with it. A world of difference, and worth the upgrade. Having said that, I feel that 75% of the upgrade benefit was usability and features, and 25% was image quality. Most of my professional photographs end up being used online which is why the image quality benefit is lower for my needs. How I use it: My lens bag includes the 24-120/4, 14-24/2.8, and the 50/1.8D.
