I needed this for transferring files to my workstation and it could not have been better. Very easy to use and the software was good as well

I purchased this to use as an audio interface for my DAW. The output options available took a minute to figure out how to configure for regular Windows output.

I've had for about 2 years now, and overall I've been super happy. It's class compliant, so I can use it with everything I have (even a raspberry pi!). Dead simple, very good quality

Love its ease of use, great input / output gain, user interface and overall design. For anyone considering pricier alternatives, the Sterling can't be beat in terms of value.

I was really surprised at how pristine this sounds. I have used other brands of interfaces but this is now my favorite one.

Haven't had a chance to test the actual product because they provided a two cent cable. Spent a couple hours dealing with troubleshooting only to discover that the USB cable died after 1st setup. So frustrating that they don't do better quality control. Maybe it's unfair to give 1 star for a bad cable, but Sterling Audio provided it without warning it might be a trash cable. (I know when there's an issue it's usually the cable but the fact that it actually worked initially is the anger inducing part.) Sigh.

This thing works really great for the most part except for one thing: unless I'm using it improperly, it seems it is impossible to use all 4 inputs at the same time. If you plug 2 instruments into the front and 2 mics in the back, the instrument inputs will override the mic's. If you crank up the gain super high, you will see/hear the mics actually are recording, but the audio is super staticky and muddled to the point where it is useless. I would otherwise assume it's an issue with my equipment but as per the owner's manual: "The instrument inputs have been designed to override the MIC/LINE inputs found on the rear panel, creating a 'plug and 'play' experience like the one you would find on stand-alone outboard-gear preamplifiers." So if I'm understanding correctly, you can either use the 2 inputs on the back or the 2 on the front, not all at the same time. Everything else about this seems rock solid, especially for the price you're paying. I would even say this would be a worthy contender to the Focusrite Scarlett 4i4 despite being a whole $60 cheaper. Unfortunately this lack of ability from the H224 is imo a fatal flaw for an interface with 4 inputs/4 outputs so it makes it pretty hard to recommend. ... More
