After reading great reviews about this product I was looking forward to testing it out. I have used it for some interviews as well as setting it up on a boom pole to capture dialogue. It is definitely the go to Mic for ENG and indie films.

I Use this Mic to do interviews and get the best sound, because cancel the enviroment went some body speak close to this microphone...

As promised, this mic has remarkably little handling noise. Great when working with a less experienced on-air person. The tonal quality could be better but I knew that before purchasing it.

We use these mics for news gathering and they are extremely rugged and work great. We put them through a lot of situation where they are used roughly and they continue to work for years and years.

This purchase was to replace an old RE50. The old mic still works great, but, because of years of use it was simply looking old. The old one remains in my production bag as a backup.

Use the mic to produce radio -- it's a great overall mic. However it is quite sensitive and does pick up ALL the bg noise.
