Handy little item
I prefer to get my shot lined up nice (that includes being perfectly straight and level) before I click the shutter. Whoever dreamed up this hot-shoe-mounted camera level did all us obsessive-compulsive types a large favor! Thanks very much!

disappointed
After seeing the most helpful review decided to take the risk and buy it, but quality is far from acceptable, two of the bubbles have incomplete marks to center and hot shoe base has a visible dent even without opening the original packaging

great little accessory!
I just found this cool, and bought it. Little did I know that I would be using it the following week during a night photo shoot - it was very difficult to see an image on the live-view screen, so I relied on the bubbles for horizon. Voila!

Faulty Item
When I received this item I found that one of the bubble levels was only half full of fluid. there was no bubble, but just a dribble of fluid on the bottom of the glass container. I am in the process addressing this faulty item with B&H.

Very helpful level
I mount this on the top of my camera cage and it is vey helpful to level my camera. I have a bubble level on the tripod head, but it is not easy to see often. The Vello level is bright, easy to see and saves me time setting up my system

Straight Horizons
Purchased for using the 055XPROB Tripod Legs (Black) with 804RC2 3-Way Pan/Tilt Head by Manfrotto. When the tripod is extended, I'm unable to see the bubble levels. Left on the camera it's a good reminder to straighten out the horizon.

Great Visibility
Level can be oriented on either two axes making camera leveling intuitive. Bubbles are highly visible. This is a great little tool when you need to set orient your camera such as in shooting a set of panorama shots. Strongly recommend.

Simple and perfect tool for any camera
I did purchase to use with D850 or D7500, and it woks very Well with simple and perfect solution. Occasionally, checked with Camera built in level, but it always shows a perfect Setup. Very much satisfied with quick and easy solution.

It Works
I've had a spirit level on my Hasselblad since the beginning. So I got this to put in the hot-shoe on my Nikon -- works great! Then I bought a Mamiya 6 and put it in the hot-shoe on that camera -- works great! And the price is right!

Good for protecting the contacts of the hot shoe
The bubble level fits perfectly to my Nikon D5300 hot shoe and to the hot shoe of my Canon SX50. The level is not very accurate and because of this I use the bubble level for protecting the contacts of the hot shoe of my Canon SX50.

I Hate It
I hated it. This was either defective or incompatible with my Nikon D810. It would not enter the hot shoe more than 1/3 the way. I was NOT comfortable with the amount of force required to insert and remove this. Returned for credit.

Great product
This bubble level is exactly what I wanted. It fits easily into the hot shoe of my camera and makes it extremely easy for me to level my camera for both landscape and portrait photography. This is definitely worth the investment.

Great level
Although many camera have an electronic level, this is much more practical. Since I have it, it is always on my flash bracket. It allows quick adjustment of the camera on the tripod in 2 axes regardless of the mode of viewing.

Yay! One problem solved
Fits into hot shoe of my Nikon D40. Only drawback is that you have to keep track of the little piece that fits into there normally. Otherwise, this is an awesome tool for keeping the camera level. Saves much time in Photoshop.

Problem solved!
I wanted to buy a new tripod, but the one I liked didn't have a bubble level. I called BH support and they suggested this level. It's perfect for what I need it for - a way to be sure my camera is level when I use my tripod.

need bigger bubble
The bubbles in the liquid do not extend to the lines on each side of the bubble so it's still a bit of a guess. This is the only thing it has to do and it doesn't do it. Really? Otherwise it fits Sony nex 7 RII camera well.

Handy Gadget
Used the level for a recent shoot and it does help to level my shots. The only problem I had was getting it on and off the hot shoe on my camera. It was a tight fit and I was concerned I would somehow damage the hot shoe.

A handy thing to have in your kit.
We created a device similar to this many years ago. It came in handy many times out in the field and in the studio. This is not something one thinks about all of the time but it is a small tool that can be quite helpful.

A accurate level that protects hot shoe connections
The bubble level fits perfectly to my Nikon D5300 hot shoe and to the hot shoe of my Canon SX50. The level is accurate and besides that I use the bubble level for protecting the contacts of the hot shoe of my Canon SX50.

Good, but not super precise
It's not as precise as I'd like it to be; the bubble can be between the two lines and still be not quite level. Just like a real level, it needs to be much longer to be accurate. Better than nothing though, for sure.

Tight, Broke on First Use
While the bubble remains usable, its ultra-tight fit in my hotshoe (Canon T1i) resulted in the hot shoe foot cracking in one corner. I relaize that it has to fit tight to function properly, but the design needs work.

Simple aide for panaramic pictures.

Useful Little Accessory
Inexpensive device that helps me level the camera in situations where I don't trust my eye alone. Fits snuggly in the hot shoe of my Nikon and seems to be quite accurate in both vertical and horizontal positions.

Not much to it.
Very simple design. Slides in 5d mark III and 70D hot shoe just fine. It's fairly useless if your camera is above eye level. Now that I have this I doubt I will use it much since my cameras have a built in level.
