The best tripod and camera head!
I have used other tripods in the past and while they did the job, it was time for an upgrade. After speaking with other professional photographer friends in the landscape and fine art industry, they all had the same recommendation. The best camera head!
I ordered this as a kit with the Manfrotto MT190XPro3 tripod. I can tell you this is the best camera head that I have ever used. When used in conjunction with the tripod I mentioned, you will never use another brand. Highly recommended.

Great tripod (with a couple of issues...)
I love this tripod! The levelers for each axis are wonderful and the tripod can be adjusted to fit in just about any configuration you need! I've used it on rocks, right near the ground, and on a very steep hill with no problems. The issues: Be careful extending the legs. If you just let them drop, they will occasionally drop right off! Top Quality Piece of Gear
Sturdy, solid equipment, built to the highest standards. No matter what I've put atop the tripod, it doesn't budge, even my wife's large spotting scope with its fluid video head. And no problem getting the legs to a good supporting position on the first try. The leg locks are easy to use and there is no binding on extension or retraction. Plus the conversion of the center post from vertical to horizontal is straight forward and quick. Hard to believe you would need any more than this.

Worth every cent!
This tripod is the bomb! It will support the weight of my camera, the optional battery pack, and the flash unit with ease. It is heavy enough to hole the camera steady in windy conditions but light enough to carry on hikes and trips. I love the center colunm can be tilted to a horizontal position to enable the camera to be pointed straight down. This tripod is loaded with great features and is very versatile.

The tripod is one of the best tripods I've ever purchased. Comparing to Gitzo tripods and especially its price, the price isn't over kill. With Manfrotto, it's super stable, a lot of flexibility and the ball head is second to none. If you have heavy gears, you can't go wrong with this tripod. I very much recommend it.

This thing is a beast!
I kept going back and forth on what to purchase because of how many tri-pods are out there. I'm very glad I went with this amazing tri-pod! I plan to use it for many years so wanted something that would hold up and be rock solid. Impressed and happy with the quality of this.

Awesome
Simply awesome. Light, and stiff, the raw carbon legs are just beautiful to look at. Swapped the head for a pistol grip and threw the ball on some Gitzo legs. Some say carbon is not worth the cost over the alloy legs, but I disagree. Good for a pro, or semi pro. If you need something lighter, go for the 190 carbon.

Excellent tripdo
Only have had this tripod a short time but it's been a great addition to my photo equipment. The difference that its made to the quality of my macro photos is incredible. I can now setup within inches of my subject where I could never of been able with my older standard tripod. This tripod lives up to all its other reviews.

Great Solid Build
Great piece of gear. Carbon legs are stiff and light. Clamps are easy to release, and lock (It comes with a clamp adjustment tool). The ball head works great, but I replaced it with the pistol grip for quick setup and adjustments. The center column is stiff, and converts to 90 degrees. Buy the aluminum version to save money, but the raw carbon fiber legs with magnesium hardware is just awesome.

My marriage has lasted longer than the legs.
Got the 3021/055 legs the same year I was married, 2001. The legs were great for a long time, but a slight bump broke the lower leg collar. The reason I bought these legs was that I figured they would last forever, no more than I uses them, or if they did break, parts would be had. Lasting forever is an unreasonable thing, but paying more for a better brand that should have part support is not. Wishing I would have bought the Tiltall now. Or the Gitzo.

Sturdy enough for heavy lens
What I was hoping for. Very sturdy and holds tightly with 500mm lens. Vertical adjustment is limited but rotating camera on clamp alows 90 deg orientation. Wish it had an Arca clamp and little longer handles. Just never could get warmed up to a ball head. Happy to have a good quality pan head in my bag

Worth the upgrade
Just like any other piece of equipment, this tripod needs to be handled with care and separate gestures. When quickly lifting the center arm up to tilt it, it can snap off, which does cause it to disassemble. But it's not a hassle to reassemble it, and do the gesture slowly. It's great at balancing the weight of a DSLR + ZOOM Lens in horizontal mode, and the whole built quality and legs are very sturdy.

Fantastic Head; Only Two Small Gripes
I have had this head on my Manfrotto MT055CXPRO4 tripod for several months, and it is excellent. The friction adjustments allow you to fine-tune just how much resistance there is in the head. It is extremely stable even with a Canon EOS 80D, and a Canon 100 - 400 L series telephoto mounted. Manfrotto thought their engineering out with this one. Why did I wait so long
I'm using this for real estate photography. It has both sped up my shoots, plus greatly improved the stability vs. my Induro aluminum alloy tripod with a more general purpose Manfrotto head. Super fast to set up, level and move around. I couldn't be happier.

Excellent Upgrade
I used to purchase to upgrade my aluminum Mafrotto tripod. The difference in the comparison between my old tripods weight and the new one is very noticeable. The leg height adjustments are very easy to make. All in all I am very pleased with my purchase.
