Excellent mount
I pruchased three of the quick release plate, so that I could use one of three cameras quickly. They have helped in the stabilization each camera and with the quick mounting.

Works Great
We have 3 Canon EOS cameras and 2 professional video cameras. We have 5 of these so we can use on tripods when needed. We have been using for several years and they work great.

RC4 quick release mounting plate
I decided to get a ball head and extra mounting plate after using a friends and seeing how well made it was. Funny thing was that I noticed right away that it tells you which way to point the lens when attaching it to the camera but my friend had never noticed and was mounting it backwards all the time.

Quick, strong, accurate
This plate (and mount) is stronger, aligns better and is more secure than others I have used. Very well made, clicks firmly and positively in place and, once locked in, cannot be accidently released. No flex or wiggle. An excellent product.

Good to have one on each camera body
I bought one each for my all my camera bodies. I always put them on so it will be fast for me to mount the camera onto the tripod. It's not expensive, but it makes your life easier.

If one is good, two is better...
I simply bought this to have an extra. I can have two cameras mounted on the release plates and ready to go. It is secure, I don't worry about my camera falling off of the plate or the tripod.

A Necessary Accessory
I have one for each long telephoto and leave them attached to the ring and one on my Canon 5D MK11 body as well. Very handy arrangement.

Secure Mount on Manfrotto 410 Head
I have 410PL plates mounted on my Oly E-30 DSLR, 50-200mm and 80mm spotting scope. I use them on a Manfrotto 410 geared head, mounted on the Nat Geo version of the Bogen/Manfrotto 055MF4. I feel this mount is much more secure than some of the others I have used. There's no way you could just catch the release lever on something and pop off the camera or scope. It takes some effort to press the safety and work the release lever. I find that reassuring. Mounting, however, is a snap, literally.

Bogen/Manfrotto 410PL
I own several of these and they work great. It forms a wide stable base. It is low profile. I keep one with every camera I use with 410 gear head. This quick release system forms a hinge and you gently bring them together to lock them together. Of the 4 quick release systems I use this one is by far my favorite

How can you go wrong?
It's a quick release plate... I use mine with the Manfrotto 410 head as a spare. It does its job just fine!
